8 Snowed in Netflix Hits
8. 50 First Dates: A movie about a typical guy and a not so typical girl who fall in love every single day. This movie is sure to poke at your inner chick flick with lots of laughs and maybe a couple of tears.
7. The Carrie Diaries: If you have a mom, an aunt, a grandma, maybe even a cousin (which I am sure you have at least a mom) then you have heard of Sex in the City. This show is about young Carrie Bradshaw making her way to the big world of blogging and sex. With struggles of friendship, sexuality, college, and relationships this 2 season hit is sure to have you hooked from the start.
6. Stuck in love: Being single got you down? Need a little love in your life? Stuck in Love will be there for you through it all. This movie shows the struggle that love sometimes burdens us with.
5. Soaked in Bleach: In this documentary Kurt Cobain’s death is probed and questioned. Even if you are not a Nirvana fan, you are a Nirvana fan. Kurt Cobain’s voice embodied a generation of lust, passion, and music. Many argue Kurt Cobain could not take his representation of a generation, ultimately leading to his suicide. This documentary might make you believe otherwise.
4. Grey’s Anatomy: Like hot doctors? Like hot doctors who hold lives in the palm of their hands and fight death day by day? If you answered yes in your head, why have you not watched Grey’s yet? Through their lives in the hospital you will see interactions with patients, and each other; along with their lives out side of work. This show will bend you, twist you, and maybe even break you. You might learn enough medical procedures to push you to go to med school. Hey, anything is possible.
3. The Best of Me: Guaranteed tears. If you feel like bawling your eyes out this movie is what you need. Bring out the tissues, the ice cream, and sensitivity for this one. In this movie a boy with a gentle heart lives in a not so gentle home with a not so gentle family. With judgement from everyone but one girl, who sees past everything and eventually falls in love with him, she pushes him to become somebody better than his family. That is when things go down hill. 20 years later something strange reunites them, but it might be too late.
2. Making a Murderer: Ever been convicted for a crime that you did not commit, for 18 years? Yeah, me either. Steven Avery is finally released from prison when once again is subject to another sentence, this time a life sentence. Was he framed? Is this a uh oh on the justice side of America? You be the judge in this Netflix Original documentary.
1. Narcos: With all the hype surrounding El Chapo and his crazy escapes from prison we begin to reminisce on who really started it all; Pablo Escobar. This original will have you willing to begin your own drug trafficking business. Just kidding, or am I? Escobar created massive terror among Columbia and sometimes our generation overlooks all that it took to settle his reign. With 5 out of 5 stars I can predict you will be done with this series in 2 days. Not only because that is how badly I binged out but because it is a show that will have you wondering in the grocery store, school, maybe even in the shower.
Happy Netflixing!
