While we Star Wars fans are anxiously waiting for the bad batch finale, I could use your help! In fact...
I am currently in the process of writing my master's thesis. My research is about age & Star Wars characters. The research is trying to investigate whether there is a difference in fans of different ages liking or disliking certain characters that appear throughout Episodes 1-9. The survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous, and you must be 18+ to participate.
It would be ✨️ wizard ✨️ if you could share it with your friends, parents, siblings, or any other Star Wars fans you might know! Or even just reblogging this post for others to discover here on Tumblr 😊
It would mean the world (or galaxy hehe) if you would fill it out. If you did THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, ALWAYS! ✨️✨️✨️
I can genuinely say that part of why I love the dub for Delicious In Dungeon but hate most dubs made before 2018 is that American VA directors have seemingly never listened to a human being speak. Exceptions include Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (who can seemingly do no wrong) and the FMA team. But for real, the only pre-2018 dubs I've enjoyed are Bebop, GitS, and FullMetal, and McGlynn's involved in two of the three. That woman deserves an Emmy.
As a writer, I believe that this narrative is just about as tight as possible. There are no moments in the film which aren't necessary to the plot.
As an actor, I believe that there are no choices made which aren't directly informative to the characters. Even the day players seem to grasp the overall narrative and feed into it with an indlcredible intentionality.
As a literary analyst, I believe that the themes are present in each moment, amazingly foreshadowed, impeccably displayed, and unimpeachably communicated. The main moral of the story is there from the first scene, but we see it build in every minute. Along the way, there is glorious action and verve, which permeates every frame of the film. If you know where it ends, you can see that in the first minute of the movie!
EEAAO is a genuine masterpiece of a movie is all I'm saying.
I currently teach middle school, but if I ever get the chance to teach a college course, it'll be a deep dive into Everything Everywhere All At Once.
