The only Frozen 3 I want.
Tumblr media
If F3 is not about Anna and Elsa being back Together** Both as Queens raising their child Olaf and ruling with all the support of Arendelle and the Northuldra then what's the point?
Tumblr media
If it's not about them being the bridge and Keeping** peace of both worlds by visiting The Enchanted forest when needed* then having all kind of fun and adventures (Together) but then coming back HOMe to their castle to talk about it, drinking hot chocolate in front of their fireplace, then WHAT is The point?? .

Says it all.
Have you seen the review from “The Epilogue.” It won’t let me paste the link. If you go to the website you should be able to find it. It pretty much hits the nail on the head in a lot of areas particularly the separation ending.
Thanks for telling me about this! I went to look for it, thanks to the other ask you sent me with the twitter infos ;) and here it is:
EPILOGUERS REVIEW OF FROZEN 2
Let’s see what I like….
Tumblr media
Something else I approve. “some characters are pure exposition dumpsters”. Many of them.
Tumblr media
AMEN!!!
Tumblr media
It’s always a pleasure to see journalists and bloggers to share my view on the movie. Awww.
Thank you so much for sharing. I’ll send it to Jenn. With love. And respect.

Will you see onward? the movie have mediocree reviews, disney enters another dork age, in the 80s´s they animation department almost dissapear, in the 90´s the were doing pure masterpieces, then in the 00´s they were experimental and failing to do a single good movie, in the 10´s the revival with a lot of help of frozen and now this decade they are making pure garbage again
The metascore of onward and frozen II is almost the same, 61 and 64, the user score of frozen II is 69, last time i checked was above 70, another dork age for disney is coming
I admit I’m not dying to see it. I will probably watch it, at some point, since I have a little girl, but I’m not rushing to the movie theatre, downloading it or anything. When it will be on tv…I’ll have a look. I’ll wait for your review then, if you’ll watch it.

Wow one learns something new every day. Glad it worked out. :)
She got a great Mom.
You're a lesbian? But you also said you had a daughter? I'm sorry, I don't want to sound rude, I'm just curious because things like that are illegal in my country :(
I can’t have access to the insemination with anonymous donor in my country too because I’m not married to a man.
But the good thing of Europe is that it’s absolutely legal for singles, lesbians and not married people to do it in other european countries.
You can do it in Northern countries, or in Spain, Switzerland, almost everywhere in Europe.
I went to Denmark. My daughter is half italian and half Danish, the donor is a 1.92 blond viking. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Ps: i hope things will work out for you too! Come in my dms if you need to chat about it!

This Frozen2 review nailed it!! Di$ney lost track of what matters in the franchise and tried to shovel this "mature" themes in a rushed ,visually stunning , confusing movie. Sad part is that since we loved "Frozen" so much I know Most of us would had taken this flawed version of if IF only they didn't totally screwed everything up with that awful epilogue and the whole separation of the sisters. ..oh well. This review made me sad but also glad because we can see other people KNOW why we complain yet it sucks they missed this chance to make it epic. They had it all ..wasted it to please the "family oriented hetero conservative demographic
Shame.

Well said. I do think they will make another movie. Frozen will not die off. But I think nothing will hit that F1 feels. Seeing what they made of F2 its clear they don’t get what people love and I have no hope for a good F3.
Do I want Elsa and Anna back together again. Yes. But I think I’ve outgrown anything Frozen. Like the comics I just can’t get into them anymore.
Opinion on frozen fandom
Since frozen 2 i have never stopped thinking in the future of the franchise and i always have some new toughts but almost nothing changes, i have been say what i think in @hereisisa ask (thank to her for answers) but i have the need to say this again A lot of frozen fans in a lot of places have been quiet, frozen 2 revive the frozen craze only for some months but everything is going back to “normal”, the silent years of 2016 and 2018 when nothing came from frozen, frozen 2 fail to be a big hit in the general public and eveyone forget it pretty easy and quickly, compare how was the frozen fuzz back then in march 2014 to march 2020. if nothing big happend for frozen soon the franchise will be quiet forever, frozen will never die , frozen iis already part of the pop culture, was not a cult classic and we will always see some merch, like piyamas and some toys but with no frozen 3 in sight or a series or anything prepare for the end of the fancom cycle, right now frozen is in stage 5: The work becomes sufficiently ingrained in contemporary culture for even the people not familiar with it to know a lot about it, technically turning everyone into a fan, i dont know what will happen next but i hope disney knows. the future of frozen is in a balance i remember the golden age of frozen, 2014 until some time after frozen fever relase, a lot of artist make a lot of fanarts, some never came back after that age, frozen 2 should revive the interest but not. the best fanfics, the fics the fans remember and never stopped to being remembered are from those years. back then those fanfics have a lot of fanart too, there is no single fic remembered that came after 2015 and no more fanarts are made. i dont see a lot of interesting posts on reddit, just the basic stuffs with little comments, tumblr have no more analysises or interesting topics, just the same gifs of elsa in show yourself. im talking only about western fans, the asian fans are still very supportive of elsanna, never stopped drawing them and maybe making fics (i dont know, i dont read fics in japanese, cant understand) and even them know the core of the franchise i elsa and anna togheter. in resume the fandom is steady but very quiet, frozen is part of the pop culture and never will dissapear but will never be big, frozen 3 is unlikely, frozen 2 let the franchise in thin ice, a error and this could be over, if elsa and anna dont come back together is over forever. a series could help to revive the interest of the general public but dont know, tangled dont do too well.
I’m gonna post your submission as it is of course, I agree on (almost) everything because I still believe another movie will happen, sooner or later.

When dollar tree has frozen 2 v day stuff for 25 cents on mass. Yes everything's a $1 but now even dollar tree is discounting frozen stuff!
lol, well it is after the holiday and no one is going to want this years F2 Valentines next year.
Just for fun, here are a few VDay items I shot pictures of on a pre-holiday foray to Target (a US-based retailer).
Heart-shaped box of chocolates.
Tumblr media
This, my friends, is what we call False Advertising.  The completely misleading word  ‘Together’ has been plastered on fully 40% of the F2 merch I’ve seen.  Nothing about F2 says ‘Together’, in fact the entire movie has Elsa running, pushing and shoving Anna away at every turn and ends up with them further away from each other than they’ve ever been.  Fuckery.
Other than that, nothing really grabs me about this. It’s like a movie poster on a box of cheap chocolates.  I passed on it.  Yes, it’s heart shaped but like all F2 merch to date, the girls aren’t looking at each other - they’re staring off into ‘Destiny’….whatever the hell that means.  Not very inspiring for Valentines Day.
I found it curious that I never saw a Kristanna box of chocolates or even saw Kristoff on any of the packaging at all for VDay.  I looked through the greeting card section and found a couple of Elsa/Anna cards but again, no Kristoff.  With all the attention paid to the canon ‘romance’ in the movie and coming out of KBell’s mouth, I just found that strange.
Next up, Chocolate Roses.
Tumblr media
A cool idea. Purple roses mean passion and also royalty, but are these inspiring enough to give to your sweetheart?  Not to mine.  Again, we get the ‘Destiny Stare’, like they were told to pose for the camera and then got distracted by Kristoff picking his nose while singing a troll-song.  Weird and off-putting.  Not romantic, not loving, not even very friendly.
Finally everyone’s favorite, lollipop rings….😍
Tumblr media
Look at that, Frozen 1 artwork!!  Now look at those two cuties…and then compare them to the stiff-as-a-board poses on the F2 artwork.  No comparison, the F1 girls look like they’re having fun, like they actually care about each other.  They’re touching.  F2? They look photoshopped together.
Took these pictures about 2 weeks before VDay so no idea if they sold or not.  I was open-minded about what I might see but nothing I saw impressed me enough to consider buying.

Yes to Harry and Hermione!!!!
Is it just me or did all the scenes between A & K seem completely forced in F2? The beginning charades scene when Anna said I love u for the first time, at least the first time the audience hears it, felt really off and didn’t seem natural. That seemed like a KB moment instead of Anna. I mean they were hardly friends in F1 and now in F2 he wants to propose at the beginning of the movie. Wait, what!?
Yes, and this is my primary problem with KA.  It’s seemed forced and tacked on from the very beginning.
I’ve been watching film for a long time now and I know what makes an onscreen relationship work.  It’s film, so there’s always a need for suspension of disbelief.  In other words, it’s not necessary for me to see every last interaction of a couple to understand how they came to be attracted to each other.  It’s okay to skip some steps if the chemical building blocks are there.
Here’s an example…Howard Hawk’s masterpiece ‘To Have and Have Not’
Tumblr media
Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall.  Here’s one single shot from the film.
Think maybe there’s a little chemistry going on here?
It helps that the actors were hot for each other - in fact they got married and stayed that way until he died.  One of the great love stories of golden age Hollywood.
One more example, because it’s one of the classic scenes in all of cinema.  Do yourself a favor and watch this one.  Then put some Bacall in your game.  She’s one of the best there ever was.
Link to pure Bacall Badassery
Now I don’t intend to compare Kristoff to Bogart here, that would be silly.  What I’m illustrating is that chemistry is real, relationship development is real and if it isn’t there - then I don’t buy the pairing.  Simple as that.
Here’s another one, where the couple wasn’t even the canon pair…
Tumblr media
Empathy.
Tumblr media
Romance.
Tumblr media
Passion.
And these two people never kissed, had sex or were an item.  This is how you build a pair that people can ship and ship easily.  Not that easy is the goal, but with development and the right spark between characters and their actors - making them love interests just happens naturally.
This is not what we see with KA, without a lot of headcanon.  Kristoff, a great character in Frozen 1 was helpful and kind, giving and loving (in his own way) by being ‘big brother’ protective of Anna on their journey to the North Mountain.  He was also stubborn, moody, a complainer (not that he didn’t have things to complain about) and a grouch.  It’s this point-counterpoint, back and forth that works so well with cinema relationships.  It’s essentially the ‘enemies to lovers’ trope. It works with Bogie and Bacall and it worked in Frozen 1, right up to the kiss.  The kiss seemed too soon, forced even, for their relationship and certainly for Anna who had already been engaged just hours earlier to the first man she’d ever met.  So Kristoff is the second man she ever met and she’s ready to kiss him too?  I almost felt like they’d spent the entire movie making the point that you shouldn’t run off with the first person who makes eyes at you…Anna seemed to understand that and then minutes later she’s swapping spit with someone else.
Then comes Frozen Fever and OFA and then Frozen 2 where the Kristoff that I like in the first movie just disappeared….replaced by a stand-up comic and his silent partner - like a smelly Penn and Teller.  Gone was the Kristoff that had a life, life goals, happiness in his own skin and an identity.  The character became the 3rd Wheel (Chris Buck’s words), the comic relief, and we were to assume, Anna’s boyfriend.
Tumblr media
If there was anything left of the original Kristoff, in Frozen 2 he died completely - in a fire.  I won’t go into it all, because if you’ve followed me for any length of time you’ve heard me list the F2 Kristoff offences in excruciating detail.  I’ll just leave you with this last quote from Joe Hogarty, Walt Disney World News Today…
“In this movie, Kristoff basically spends most of his time doing that tired old shtick of proposing to a girl, Anna, and either being overly nervous about it, or constantly being interrupted by someone. By the fourth time he does this, your eyes will roll completely in the back of your head. “   Source

Come on Bob. Make Frozen Great Again!!!
If China ants Elsa to go home we might be in luck since most movies now count on China to bring in the big bucks. China WANts elsa home so do it Disney
We can hope.
Chinese Frozen and Elsanna fans are the primary users of our own #BringElsaHome hashtag these days.  They show a dedication to our ship that is truly inspirational.  Let’s hope it makes a difference with Iger and the new Dis-Corp CEO, Bob Chapek.

I think this is VERY telling.
Yeah, the marketing spin is that they’re releasing it out of compassion for everyone in quarantine.---- I’d rather take my chances elsewhere. LOL
One thing is certain, if ‘the biggest animated feature in history’was selling well, there’s no way they’d push it out on D+ three months early.
Says it all!
Ok this is funny. Headline on yahoo s that F2 will be released early of Disney plus. BUT the comments from people saying its so boring. Or they can't hit it out of the park twice. LOL telling
Hi Anon,
Yeah, the marketing spin is that they’re releasing it out of compassion for everyone in quarantine.
The reality is likely that F2 DVD sales are poor and they’re trying to get as much mileage out of it before it fades completely from public consciousness.  Might as well try to gain a few D+ subscribers.
One thing is certain, if ‘the biggest animated feature in history’ was selling well, there’s no way they’d push it out on D+ three months early.
No awards, poor merch sales, poor DVD sales, early release to TV.
I think we’re done here.

I think if they go this way with the shorts then there goes the merch sales.
I do hope someone else takes over for Frozen franchise. But at this rate I just can’t find myself caring anymore about this  franchise or these characters anymore. Its a cash grab. This is not why people love Frozen.
I can’t even get into the comics anymore. I’ve ‘let it go’.
RIP Frozen. Well always have F1.
Do you think they'll ever make a kristanna wedding short?
Well, it would be a copy of the one they did for Tangled but at this point, it is clear they don’t care about this franchise anymore if not as a cow to milk until it dies, so… yeah, might be possible. I don’t see it as a thing you could put in another feature, so a short is highly possible.

Frozen Hubris
@breckstonevailskier wrote:
“It is interesting that the Frozen II  writing staff seemed to have had so much trouble justifying why Elsa needed to abdicate that they eventually decided to keep the reasons horribly vague.
They were so deadset on having Anna become queen that it did not occur to them that, maybe the fact that they had so much trouble justifying the ending they wanted, meant that they needed to change that ending.”
This, my friend, is the very definition of hubris.
So insistent were they that ‘Queen Anna’ had to be, they couldn’t see how it was warping the entire creation.
It’s a shame, but sadly not uncommon in sequels.  Having won 80+ awards with F1, they evidently came to believe they were infallible.
By virtually any measure of success, F2 was a failure.
The film, after an absolutely huge marketing splash in November was here and gone, without a single award to speak of.  There’s no ‘Let it Go’ song ringing across the land and driving parents crazy. Merch sales, by every available measure, appear to be terribly disappointing with shelves full of marked down toys, clothes, dolls, art sets and books gathering dust at discount houses.
But Disney claims it’s the highest-grossing animated film of all time, right?
Actually, no.
The sequel has generated $1.325 billion at the global box office, while Frozen 1 netted $1.281 billion.  However these numbers are deceiving.
Inflation has run about 10% since 2013 when F1 came out.  So to truly compare apples to apples, we have to multiply $1.281B by 110% to determine how much F1 made in today’s (devalued) dollars.
$1.281B x 110% =  $1.409B
So Frozen 1 compared to Frozen 2 in 2019 dollars is actually still a larger grossing film, by $84 million dollars.
Disingenuous of Disney to make this claim, IMO, since their accounting department surely knows the truth but I suppose they have to try to save face.
As time goes by, my guess is that folks will remember Frozen fondly for Elsa’s ice dress, for ‘Let it Go’ and for the story being about True Love between sisters, without the need for a man to save them.
Frozen 2 will be forgotten.  Quickly cast into the bargain basket with such classics as Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch and Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie.
Okay, that was unfair.  Pooh’s movie is cute.

I would be very sad to see if they start marketing the girls separately simply because there is no other movie/show that has such a wonderful bond between sisters. Its what makes Frozen stand out this amazing bond of the sisters.
You can not have Elsa without Anna and you can’t have Anna without Elsa.
Im straight and the thing I worry most about Anna is having a proposal happen. When it did happen in F2 I was like fuck its the end of her story like what is their to sell of Anna since she tied up with a uneducated hobo. And i remember thinking like since anna had her fucking boring marriage I once thought to my self like in time Disney might put Anna on the princess lineage. But when you said you heard a rumor of Anna be with the princess lineage hope it doesn't.
No I don’t think it will happen, but it’s a rumor I heard.
I think she still sells too well for that. I could see it happening if they’ll turn the D+ series into an Elsa show, or if they’ll start marketing them separately….but right now I don’t see it.
