Help my students get some cool and diverse books for my classroom library!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to stock my library with some more diverse books! My classroom is made up of almost entirely Latinx students from the Dominican Republic and other places (It’s mostly DR but we also have some students from Guatemala and Puerto Rico). These kids come from a low income area and don’t have access to a lot of great books where they see characters like themselves. It’s my hope that I can get them to see characters that have similar lifestyles, cultural heritage, and interests as my students. So many of my students hate reading because they never get a chance to read a book that interests them or a book that has a character or author that represents them.
