haha actually no, no one said cosplay but I just felt like it sooo  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ have some improvised Siobhán cosplay. (since I don’t have contacts I just badly photophoped my eyes and the brooch is made out of paper xD)

Excuse the crappy quality but my mobile is literally the worst at taking pictures. And the reason why I grin like an idiot in the last pic is because my brother said something funny while I took the picture.

While this post goes out I’ll be in the bathroom, removing my make-up~

The Sheathing of the Sword: Character Descriptions/Fan Cast

This list will be updated with more of the planned characters/actors/actresses I have in my notepad on my phone as they are revealed to the readers. Always interested in hearing your opinions or fan casts.

ok so basically an anon asked me about character descriptions for better art endeavours for my OCs in my novel over here on AO3 (which you should totally read and review and send me anons about).

so – for characters revealed thus far:

Kyoji “Kyo” Takeshi:

“The Serpent’s Son”

Japanese

Average height

Raven, shaggy hair

Green thin/long hachimaki (headband). Think Domon Kasshu from G Gundam.

Dark, clever eyes

Green colour scheme/green-coded character

Has a lime green lighter (signature item)

Green sketchers or whatever

Fan cast: ? Maybe Ryan Potter? Someone else? Suggestions open.

Hatsumomo Yamaguchi:

“The Ox’s Offspring

Japanese

Long, lower shoulder-length black hair

Maybe put it in a ponytail with some bangs.

White rose resting in hair at right temple (signature item)

Dark, curious

White colour scheme/white-coded character

White heels, maybe? Or white sneakers.

Fan cast: Zhang Ziyi or Arden Cho. Other 

Takamura:

“The Daughter of the Dragon”

Japanese

50, but looks like she’s barely 30. 

Very beautiful.

Ample bosom.

Tall, especially compared to 

An air of elegance

Itako.

Was a geisha long ago

Opts to wear kimonos and smokes from a kiseru pipe (signature item) and usually has a sensu (hand-held) fan in hand (other signature item)

Always has different themed/styled kimonos, i.e. dragon, flowers, cherry blossoms, et cetera. Typically it’s a white kimono with pink accents/highlights. Occasionally a dragon, because of her title.

Fan cast: The queen Lucy Liu herself. This is one I’m 100% sure on.

Misaki Sanosuke:

Hair pulled back into long ponytail

Startling cerulean eyes, usually obscured by black shades

Business attire: slim-fit black jacket left unbuttoned, red silk shirt, black dress pants, black (or red even!) heels, red lipstick.

Arrogant, haughty, but also has a code of honour and respect for her opponents

Old friend of Takamura’s.

Leader of a squadron of the Yakuza. 

Fan cast: ? Gong Li? I have her listed for someone else, but she might fit here too. Suggestions open.

Haruhiko:

“The Dragon of Death”

Japanese

65-ish probably

Grumpy old geezer

Short, especially compared to Takamura

Wears kimono + hakama pants

Favours white, because it symbolizes the purity of death.

Small glasses

Wisps of a beard and mustache

Crude, but honest.

Fan cast: ? Ken Watanabe? Though I have him booked for a character we meet later on this book. Hmm. Suggestions open.

Sonic Snowdrift:

Haruhiko’s assistant and right hand

Caucasian (Canadian)

Messy, blond hair, mesmerizing turquoise eyes

Think Shizuo from Durarara!!!

Black, sleek sunglasses, white dress shirt rolled up to his elbows, black waist coat, black dress pants, white leather shoes

Has “Sonic” emblazoned across his right forearm in large font, and “Snowdrift” tattooed similarly on his left forearm

Almost always smiling, unfailingly polite

Cool, chill, helpful person

Fan cast: Either Tom Hiddleston or Tom Felton.

Kuchisake-Onna (Slit-Mouthed Woman):

Sharp, dark eyes

Angular face

Hair tumbles over left shoulder

Wears a green surgical mask over her face

When it’s taken off, it’s revealed her face is a gaping maw of disfigurement, cut into a Glasgow Grin by her samurai husband hundreds of years ago.

Signature weapon is a gigantic pair of shears/scissors that are bloodstained

Siobhán:

Flaming, unruly red hair

Soulful green eyes

Red lipstick

Black choker (emerald brooch with golden exterior held on it)

Emerald-laced corset

Black hooded cloak with emerald green interior

Emerald skirt flows from waist to ankles

Emerald or jade or even black high-heeled boots.

Fan cast: ?

Ling Guang:

Brazilian

Energetic

Excitable

Charismatic

Extremely powerful

Beautiful + Clever

Good sport

Black heels (steel-toed, but hidden by paint)

White dress shirt, black pencil skirt

Wears glasses sometimes

Blonde hair that cascades down her back in rivulets

Fan cast: ? I have Sofia Vergara down for another role, but she may work here. Maybe Shakira because why not lmao. Suggestions open.
