She's no stranger to me. She's an old friend. Grief. Knows me better than anybody else. She understands me. She understands things that sometimes even i fail to comprehend myself. She visited me again last night. She does so quite often. My bed feels empty in her absence. Yet I'm never ready to face her. But yesternight when she came, it was different. I was different. I failed to recognise her at first. She asked me if i remembered her and missed her. Usually I'd have said yes. And embraced her without any hesitation. But yesternight was different. I looked her straight in the eye and told her that I forget her existence when I'm with you. That I've found a home in you. And you live in me as well. So there's no place for her in my bed anymore. I'd prefer sleeping with the honey sweet memories of the moments spent in the warm embrace of your gaze. She smiled. It was a crooked one. But fascinated and shook me nonetheless. She took a step forward. I stepped back. But when she gently reached for my face and gently brushed her knuckles down it, my legs gave up. She then tucked a stray strand of hair on my face behind my ear. Something stirred inside me. I was fighting back my tears with everything you had taught me. But it all failed when she leaned forward and whispered in my ear you can never forget me dear, you can never run too far from me. I'll always find my way back to you. And you will too always find your way back to me.

I lost it. I screamed and sobbed. She embraced me and whispered "louder. reach deeper within yourself." I begged her to let me go. She said she can't. I cried why? why are you doing this to me? She frowned and said - because you let me.
