Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 30 January 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines crowned Iris Mittenaere of France as her successor at the end of the event.

Miss Universe 2015 Part 2 : After that, Harvey stepped in and said he had to apologize. He continued on to say that Miss Colombia was instead the first runner up and Miss Philippines was the actual winner. He later stated that he had been confused when reading the winner’s name because both names were on the card and he only noticed the “1st” by Miss Colombia’s name.

Miss Universe 2011, the 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, was held on 12 September 2011 at Citibank Hall, São Paulo, Brazil. Leila Lopes of Angola was crowned the winner by outgoing titleholder Ximena Navarrete of Mexico, becoming the fourth African country to win the title after South Africa in 1978, Namibia in 1992 and Botswana in 1999.
