How will we ever achieve change if our solution to a genocidal maniac absolutely botching foreign policy is choosing him anyway “because the alternative is worse.” How will we ever incite unrest on the higher end of the political totem pole. How will we ever force them to shape up or shape out if they can literally see us throwing our hands up and going “well you resulted in thousands dead and still more dying, but at least you’re better than the other guy!!” It’s the most sniveling, most spineless response��especially when taken into account that it’s a literal genocide we are speaking of.
