I totally forgot to share how my therapist fucking called me out in my last appointment. We were talking about how I feel like I am insane, because of all my angry thoughts and images in my head and how I am scared I can't restrain those and don't act on them.

My therapist told me I am really strong and too nice to ever do something like that and he said it is totally okay to think those things as long as I don't actually act on them, it doesn't make me a crazy or an insane person. I said to him I don't think I am strong because I have anger attacks all the time leading into me throwing with stuff or hurting myself, so I said to him: "I can't restrain it when I am alone, how are you sure I can restrain it when there's other people around me?"

And the fucking dude said: "I think you can also restrain it when you are alone, you just don't care about yourself, so you put less effort in keeping yourself safe" I looked at him and looked at the time and said: "isn't it time yet for me to leave?" And he was like: "no we still have 10 minutes :)"

I was done. I was speechless.

now that everyone seems to be finding out how absolutely wonderful Hobie Brown is, I can’t recommend his solo series enough - it’s so so good. Cody Ziglar is such a fantastic writer (he also worked on a number of Miles’s spider-man comics as well) and Justin Mason does some incredible artwork for the series as well.

Here are photos of the first couple issues of the series that I was lucky enough to get signed in person by Cody!

Hopefully if he gets enough attention and love they might be able to continue the series for him since this was just a small event run.

And not JUST for the real world ramifications of who 1610 miles morales is and how people still don’t shut the fuck up about whether or not he’s really Spider-Man but the way that miles family and culture were so embedded into this movie????? He is a child of two different cultures!!!!!! ALREADY!!!! BEFORE HE BECAME SPIDER-MAN!!!!! The speech with his mom and to see the community he has that he still doesn’t feel totally a part of for SO many reasons?????? The metaphor of feeling alone and like you never fully belong in any world even if you DO have people all around you?????????

No spoilers but I never thought anything could top the animation, color palettes, and the overall visuals of Into the Spiderverse but Across the Spiderverse absolutely did without a doubt in my mind. Just gorgeous animation and compositions all around and I can’t wait until it comes on dvd so I can pause and admire every single frame. Everyone who worked on character designs, backgrounds and lighting etc should be so so proud of the work they’ve done.

hobie was one of the best parts of the movie. he saw the smallest ounce of conflict and went "i quit, see you suckers later when you decide to act like human beings again" like that is SO REAL

Miguel saying he isn’t even gonna deal with Hobie. Hobie being the one to tell Miles how to break out (showing off more of his entire meaning as well). Telling him to be his own person to an almost annoying extent to Miles. And being the first person to just get rid of his own watch. Ohhhhh
