Finally read to Kill A Mockingbird! Can you believe I had never read it before? Still, I am glad I read it at this time in my life, because it was just the book I needed after a rough couple of months which included a reading slump.
Yes, I cried at the end.

It's my wool poncho 😊 It's very warm and cosy! I wish I could say I made it myself thanks to my llamas, but I bought it, from a lady who sells nothing but handknit (handknitten?) (wait no you wrote knitted) ponchos, in local fairs and markets—I didn't buy it the first time I saw it and then desperately regretted it and I was really glad to find her again!
I spent 20min examining her ponchos because they all had unique patterns and I am incapable of choice, and she ended up telling me "pick this one, it's the only one with a little wood button" and I'm very grateful to her because I would still be stuck in her shop if she hadn't given me this random justification for my decision. Here's to the little wood button

An autumn day's ensemble. The falling leaves in deep red, gold and even plum are so beautiful, I wanted to wear some shades to match.

I wanna draw again but my fine liners all ran out of ink at the same time :,) I guess I’ll just have to stick with sketches for a while

School Style <3
This post is a little guide I made for the upcoming school year. I love school, but hate feeling gross under the florescent lights. I like dressing nicely, but hate feeling like a try-hard. My #1 priority in class to be comfortable so I can pay attention to the professor, and not my outfit.
I take a lot of style inspiration from Stockholm girlies year round, especially during the school year. Here are some of my favorite examples found via Pinterest:
Nice basics in high quality materials and neutral colors are essential to this style. The goal is to mix and match pieces as much as possible in order to save time and money.
Invest in:
- 2 or 3 neutral high quality sweaters
- 2 flattering pairs of jeans
- 1 pair of mini Uggs
- 1 pair of white, cream or grey sneakers
- 1 matching set of sweats preferably in grey, white, or navy (not joggers!! sweatpants)
- 1 tote bag for school (a cute backpack works too) preferably from Longchamp, Zadig & Voltaire, or if you can afford it, Goyard.
If you feel comfortable getting a fake off of DHGate, go for it. However I recommend using second-hand sites like TheRealReal to purchase a bag for a lower price.
- neutral claw clips
- jewelry!! the key to making the outfit look complete
You can find high quality basics anywhere!
The easiest places to shop for me are Aritiza, Asos, Ssense, TheRealReal and Nordstrom. However, I have found a lot of my favorite pieces from the thrift as well!
More Style Inspiration:
As a side note, nothing pairs better with this style than a fresh blowout. I hate using heat on my hair however, so I recommend using a heatless styling rod from Kitsch.
Good luck to you during this upcoming school year!
