Summer Holiday

Dear our customers,

We are going to close from Sat. 11th to Thu. 16th August as our regular summer holiday.

Here in Tajimi in central Japan, the temperature goes up to 40 C (104 F) almost everyday!

It is indeed the hottest summer in Japan’s history.

For your mails sent during this holiday, we will return our reply after 17th onward.

Original Majolica Tile

        We have finally made our original design into majolica tile!  It took us nearly three years.   The difficulty is the glaze composition which dictates the overall image of the tile. Each tile is hand-glazed.  The tile is exhibited at the Architecture + Construction Materials show in Tokyo from 6th – 9th March.  Please have a look at our booth!

特注手描きタイル　建築建材展へ出展します（２）

皆様　こんにちは。 3月6日から開催の建築建材展では、長年の希望であった手描きタイルを展示します。 デザインは丸万のオリジナルですが、これを例としまして、特注デザイン、色にて1枚ずつタイルを製作いたします。と、書くことは簡単なのですが、実際の工程として、デザインにおける線の細さや凹凸、発色のための釉薬の選択、その調合、焼成温度などなど、様々な要件を達成しないことには無事に製品までたどり着けません。どの案件においても1枚ずつ丁寧に仕事を進めてまいります。お問い合わせをお待ちしています。 手描きタイル

私たち（有）丸万商会は今年の10月1日で会社設立60年を迎えました。これまでお付き合いくださいました皆様、深く感謝申し上げます。 SONY DSC ここに、二代目社長加藤広重の時代の意匠登録製品見本帳があります。当時は、メーカーも商社も競ってオリジナルのデザインを生み出していたものです。コンピューターもなかった時代、よくもまぁ多種多様なデザインを作っていたものだと先達には尊敬の念を抱きます。 私たちを取り巻く環境も様変わりしましたが、これからもMADE IN JAPANのオリジナリティあふれるタイルを、メーカーの皆様とお客様の皆様と一緒により多くの人に届けたいと思います。皆様、これからもどうぞよろしくお願い申し上げます。

タイルを素敵に使っていただいています。ビューティ　コンシェルジェ　ラプラス　http://laplace.sexy/（岐阜県多治見市栄町1丁目46 浪花ビル2F） 「フローラ」はハンドペイントのフラワーと洗面台を飾っています。コーナーの収めには日東製陶さんの「IPボーダー」の竹割。素敵な使い方です！（この竹割、フローラの前身「リーフ」でも、あるご新築で室内壁の見切りに使っていただいたことがあります。）　 コンシェルジェと相談する曲線カウンターには、おしゃれな木のチェアが並んでおりますが、一層おしゃれに見せているのが杉浦製陶さんの「グライル」。磁器質タイルとガラスとの組み合わせ。美しい色。 玄関にはT-CHICさんのタイルにロゴマーク。汚れに強いので、店舗入り口でもいいですね。 どのタイルもMade in Tajimi 。　多治見のタイル、いいです！
