The jalapeños my mom and I grow in the garden have varying levels of spice so it’s just chance of if we happen to pick a mild or spicer one.

We’ve grown other kinds of peppers too. Last year and this year I have bell pepper plants. Last year I had an lunchbox orange sweet pepper plant and this year we have a habanero plant.

"Why are you writing this?" Because no one else will. And because it's fucking fun

Saligia is full of wack flora and fauna, and since you've finally found something resembling a henna plant that can actually leave a stain and doesn't make you hallucinate or some other odd shit, you decided to crush some of the leaves up and make a batch. There was an upcoming festival in a few days, so this is a good opportunity to put those skills to use

What a fascinating and beautiful custom! She'd love if you'd draw one for her. And since there's an upcoming festival, she'd love to wear a design made by you

She made sure her hands were extra clean and hydrated. Her excitement was that palpable.

You saw the look of sheer curiosity and fascination on her face as you drew your design in your peripheral vision, and you couldn't help but smile.

She couldn't help it. You looked so cute while you're so focused.

Several hours later, she was looking at the stain pattern at nigh every angle, really taking in the beauty of your work.

And since the paste has been cleaned off the hand, she can now hug you.

Lance

You're gonna need to do a lot of puppy-eyeing before he'd cave and let you draw something.

There was an upcoming festival, so why not?

He can sit down for an hour for you to do your work.

He can't say he doesn't like the sight of you so focused.

I hope you're prepared for him to tease you when you lift the tube from his hand.

Let's be real, he just wants an excuse to spend as much time with you as possible. And he would not be upset at all if you flirted back.

Several hours later: "Not a bad design at all"

The design:

He has to admit, this is a fascinating custom, and he would not object to letting you do a design for him.

His hands and forearms are clean and hydrated, and he is ready for you to work your magic.

Dia will definitely tease you once you lift the tube of henna from his hand. What can he say? He finds your expression changing from focused to flustered is cute.

And if you flirt back? He would be so happy.

And this is an excuse to spend time with you, so this is an absolute win on his part, and yours.

He must admit: he likes the design

It's no secret that this boy loves his plants, and using crushed leaves to make tattoo designs is an idea he can get behind.

And since he also enjoys art, he'd be more than happy to see you make something with a medium he likely never used before.

After he finished washing his hands and moisturizing them, you got to work on the design.

You did catch a couple glances of his eyes sparkling with awe and wonder at your skills. He finds you and your work that captivating.

If tease him once you finish your work, he'll get a bit flustered before he regains his composure and flirts back.

Fast forward several hours and the stain looks like this:

A temporary tattoo with crushed leaves? Count him in.

Phinny and Nix correctly assessed that skin has to be clean and hydrated before you can draw with the henna.

Wearing your artistry to the festival is a great honour to him.

He wore some of his old clothes instead of his robes so the henna doesn't stain them.

He couldn't help but smile as he watched you draw on his hand

Several hours later the henna(?) dried and the stain pattern made him smile

"This is gorgeous, thank you"

I remember when I read this event story when it was in Makai Nightmare.

MC found a box with confiscated fanart drawn by some of Lou’s npc fans.

Apparently members of Lou’s npc fan club have been making the Victoria’s Secret Angel fashion show AU.

This has been in my drafts for a while.

Sorry not sorry for saying this, animated cat Puss in Boots is a better fighter than the Court of Darkness MC. At least a better fighter than the C rank version of her we see the most often and we’ve seen the most of so far.

Teen heroes in Disney movies are better at fighting and defending themselves than the Court of Darkness MC is.

Katara, Suki, Mai, Ty Lee, and Azula who are all teenagers in ATLA are better at fighting and defending themselves than the CoD MC is.

But the CoD MC got teleported to another world. Peni Parker from Spider Man: Into the SpiderVerse got teleported into another universe and she’s a better fighter than the CoD MC is.

However, the MC is supposed to be a character people can play the app game CoD as and in real life most people can’t and don’t have as much practice, experience, skill in fighting as many fictional main characters do. So the CoD MC not having much practice / experience / skill in fighting prior to the start of the app’s stories is more relatable to more people than most fictional main characters are.

The CoD MC had an apartment and had one cat. I suspect CoD MC has lived in the city or suburb her whole life.

I presume the app’s writers made the MC a single woman who lives in an apartment to relate to single women who live in apartments/because that’s who they thought would be most relatable to their players?

One of my entires for the Court of Darkness Mini Design Contest won.

They made it into the Volcanic Guy mini. In the CoD app my username is Ishani Faye and on Twitter it’s also Ishani Faye.

My other entry was mini Roy in a beekeeper suit with a beehive and bees. I wish that one had won and was turned into a mini in the CoD app. But one of my entires won.

I entered a design for a Guy mini because I know people on the CoD team like Guy and they are the ones who judged the entries so I figured if I entered an entry of Guy then that entry would be more likely to win.

I also entered Lynt and Fenn mini designs but then found out it was after the contest deadline because the deadline was in a different time zone than where I am. I drew mini Lynt sitting with dandelions and mini Fenn in an eggplant costume. I started to draw Toa but the contest deadline ended before I chose a costume for him and finished sketching him.

If I was the MC in Saligia

and I walked in on Guy and Jasper kissing, I wouldn’t even be surprised. I’d just back up and leave, walk down the hallway and go back to what I was doing.

If I walked in on Grayson and Roy kissing I’d feel surprised and/or I’d look at them like 🤨 and then I’d back up out of the room and leave.

If I walked in on Fenn and Violet kissing I’d assume they were both very drunk. And then I’d leave.

If I walked in on Lynt and Tino kissing I’d feel confused and tbh horrified. Sorry not sorry to anyone who likes that pairing. I’ve not seen anyone who likes that pairing. I don’t like that pairing.

Lance doesn’t have a valet on the Isle of Colde but Hawke is there. Sorry Lance but if I walked in on Lance and Hawke kissing I think I’d burst out laughing.

OK, Guy x Jasper is fun and all, but y'know what my favorite master/valet ship is?

These two are so freaking cute together. And secretly extremely horny.

When the Qelsans talk about stuff like “for the sake of Qelsum” and their dislike of Avari, it makes me think so aren’t these Qelsans being Qelsan nationalists? Aren’t these stories showing that there is nationalism in The Magical Realm of Saligia?

In Roy’s Book 1 and in Roy’s event stories when they talked about doing things “for Invidia” that made me wonder if it was Invidian nationalism and if there are any Invidian nationalists in Invidia.

Some of CoD’s stories about their kingdoms have motivated me to search for definitions of political words.

Guy-

Guy looks like a fedora guy, and I don't like Fedoras. Wearing this just makes you look like an old grandpa I'm sorry.

Fenn-

He thinks he's such a fashionista. What's the point in wearing pants if your whole leg is exposed anyway. Jeans with too many holes are an ick. I want to cut through all the holes and leave just one giant hole.

Toa-

He wears these elf looking shoes thinking he's so cool. Who even designed this? Why is it so flat and pointy and peeling off at the back??? I'm sorry but this looks like the kind of shoes Jesus wore in his lifetime.

Lynt-

Christmas shirts. This looks like something Tino gave to Lynt to wear as pyjamas to increase his festive spirit. It's arguably not as bad as the other ones

Roy-

Ugly platform crocs. I know he wears these in his house when he's alone. He probably has a charm collection too that he puts on the crocs in a rotation. The finest invidian craftsmanship wasted on this monstrosity

Rio-

Jorts. I actually hate jorts. They're just not long and not short and it bothers me??? Jeans were not meant to be this length. I have no words. Tino probably wears these on his day offs.

Knight-

Doesn't this sweater remind you of knight? I'm sorry Knight, but rainbow argyle...... it's an interesting design choice.

Jasper-

This skeleton onesie just reminds me of Jasper. I don't think he'd actually wear this, but he probably has one in the back of his closet.

Lou-

Poor Lou. He asked what was in with the young people these days and they told him Gucci. So he went and bought this thing. Why is this Gucci stripe still being implemented into their products. It's just so out of place and random. Like why does there have to be red and green in the middle??? I can't afford Gucci, but I'm still a hater 😙

I hadn’t logged onto tumblr much in the past few days and I scrolled down through the Court of Darkness tag and I found this.

@bitchkay I’m curious. What do you think about the valets, Lou, Aquia, and Thoma?

writing some of my own impressions first. I don’t know why but I feel like Jasper would have hair on his torso. I feel like Grayson would have some but not as much as Jasper. I feel like Tino would have a little bit but like Lynt he’s blond so it’s not easy to see. Lol I have no idea if Knight would have any body hair but the hair on his head is two toned. So imagine if Knight has body hair that’s yellow-blonde with blue on the tips 😂. I expect Lou, Aquia, and Thoma have hardly any body hair at all. Lou’s hair is white so if he has any it would be hard to see anyway. Thoma is blond so like Lynt and Tino his would be hard to see.

What do you guys think abt CoD men and their body hair? Like idk, whod have the most hair, orr where do the others have it most??

Idk honestly I tought at first of them having no body hair at all until I realised that theyre also kinda human so they must have it right??😭
