so after reading everything Thomas Andrew Ward that was on TRASHSQUAD TRIFECTA pages in 24 hours I wrote this
(My Rose face claim is Alexandra Park)
Five times one of the ward siblings had a panic attack
the ward siblings had been working with the team for a year and about two years with each other when one of them has the first of many panic attacks slash post traumatic stress episode between the siblings and of course it’s Thomas (no one was surprised especially given the circumstance) the team had been chasing down a perp when said prep got the drop on Thomas and push him into a pool and Thomas is having flashbacks to the well and he’s that kid again struggling to swim, to breath and Grant dives in and pulls Thomas out as Bobbi and Hunter continue after the prep (they catch Him the prep later wishes they just killed him because all three of the ward siblings are terrifying on their own but together they’re enough to scare even the most fearless warrior they should know May had been the one guarding the prisoner but when she saw all three siblings coming towards her way she turn and ran something Skye will never let her live down because she actually ran sprinted fled long story short the prisoner was very bruised the next day) and as soon as Thomas is out of the pool he can breath again until he see’s its Grant in front of him and the team have to sedate him to get him to calm down Grant is an absolute wreck the whole time knowing he only made thomas’s panic attack worse and Rose is torn between which brother she should be there for at that moment she choose Grant Thomas is knocked out he doesn’t need her right now and when Rose finds Grant he looks at her completely broken she just hugs him for the next three hours until Thomas wakes up and the team is running about because he’s having another panic attack and then Rose rushes in and pushes everyone out of her way ( if she used her powers to help her no one says anything and she wouldn’t admit to it if they did) and suddenly she there in front of Thomas holding his hand and Thomas takes one look at her and just breathes the team learnt two very important facts that day if Thomas has a panic attack keep Grant away from him and call Rose as soon as possible
and that’s exactly what they do the next time someone (lance) accidentally triggered an attack (“all I did was call him Tommy Rose it does all the time” “Shut up hunter”) except Rose had been out on a mission with Skye at the time and it takes her seven hours to get back to base and by that time Thomas has had three panic attacks and Grant was getting pretty pissed at fitzsimmons for locking him in a closet (A Closet) for seven hours the team learnt two more important lessons that day no one but Rose can call Thomas Tommy and that it isn’t a great idea to separate the siblings and it should only be done if there is no other opinion
the next Ward sibling to have an episode is Grant to everyone’s surprise he had finally start going through therapy and finally dealing with everything from his family to Garret and everything after so maybe the team shouldn’t have been as surprised as they were when he had a panic attack the big difference between Grant and Thomas Panic attacks were as Thomas curls up in himself Grant get violent he punching and kicking blindly like if he fights hard enough he can keep the demons at bay and the team thinking that Like Thomas Grant would calm down if he saw Rose called her and she rushes in and to everyone’s surprise seeing Rose only makes Grant worse ( none of the siblings like to point out that Rose is the spitting image of their mother) which tears Rose up inside and then Thomas walks into the room (accidentally he had been looking for Kara) but when Grant see’s Thomas Grant tackles him and holds him it takes twenty minutes for Grant to calm down and let his little brother go Rose had walked out of the room awhile ago everyone ignores the fact she was crying and everyone leaves her be she turns up three hours later like nothing had happened and drinks Lance under the table which she and Thomas find funny because thanks to Thomas and Lance merc team up back in the day Lance was the first person to get Rose drunk calling her a lightweight
the siblings had been with the team for three years when Rose finally has a panic attack ( Both Grant and Thomas have had a few) but out of all three siblings Rose was the one who spent the most time actively avoiding any and all triggers and made sure she slept 6 to 8 hours every 24 hours (which Coulson has now made mandatory for all three siblings after Thomas and Grant had been awake for almost 72 hours on a mission before coming back to base before they both (literally) collapsed causing both of them to dream about being kids and being in that house and waking up at 2 in the morning having panic attacks waking the whole team up and having to wait for Rose to calm Thomas down before he can calm Grant down and well there was a lot of coffee that day) the three siblings were on a mission when Rose got separated from her brothers leading to her being taken it took a week before the team found her and not thinking both of her brothers burst into the room she was being held sending her into a panic attack she was blindfolded and tied to a chair Grant and Thomas quickly untied her and removed the blindfold but instead of calming down at the sight of her brothers like everyone thought she only grew more panicked and started screaming nothing they tried could calm her down and thanks to her powers no one and nothing could touch her ten minutes later Rose breathing had calmed down and she had stopped Screaming but that was only the calm before the storm because as soon as The team took a step towards that’s when her Powers came into play (No one could really define what her powers were exactly the closest anyone had come was that she seemed to be able to create force field with a side of Telekinesis and the team had seen her use her powers enough to be slightly terrified of them like the time she was surrounded by ten hydra soldiers when they all dropped dead at the same time when Rose was asked to explain what had happened she told them that she knew she was out number and if she tried to fight she would lose so she created a tiny force field inside the heart of all ten hydra soldiers and expanded until their hearts exploded earning her an hour lecture from Coulson twenty minutes of Skye telling her they didn’t use their powers to kill and a group hug from her brothers who honestly couldn’t care less about what she had done they were just glad she was safe and alive) walls started to explode and objects start flying about it took her six minutes to collapse the building they had found her in ( it took five minutes for the team to evacuate when they realized what she was doing) and the team were glad that there wasn’t anything around for miles of where she was being kept because it took her another 15 minutes before she passed out ( it took two days for the team to make the quin jet they had operational enough to make the flight back to base after her powers were done with it) Rose woke up for the first time since her rescue and destructive panic attack when they were flying back no one said anything until have were all leaving the hangar when lance said “I think we should rename panic attacks to Rose attacks” Rose stopped walking and slowly turned around to face Lance and Leveled him with a look that had made lesser men cry as it was Lance took a step back and hid behind Bobbi until Rose left the hangar no one ever talked about what happened again but they always made sure that on mission Rose was never left alone and that no matter what she got her 6 to 8 hours sleep every 24 hours
the next time Rose had a panic attack is now referred to as the worst day in shield history beating even the Hydra reveal it was a normal day and the team were in a mission briefing and everything had been going fine until they hear choking sound from the back of the room where the Ward siblings had claim as their place when ever their was a mission briefing but when the team turned around instead of seeing them standing almost on top of each other like they’re sometimes prone to do and annoying each like their six year olds on a boring car trip they had started to shift away from each other and had a haunted look in there eyes this worried the team the choking sound that had alerted the team that there was something wrong with the siblings had come from Rose so everyone was surprised that it was Grant that gave into a panic attack and like all the other times before he became violent swinging blindly and to everyone's surprise accidentally hitting Thomas who having been on the verge of his own panic attack deteriorated the team now focus on the two brothers forgot that it had been Rose who had alerted them to the pending catastrophe until objects start flying and crashing into walls never had all three Wards had panic attacks at the same time as each other and the team had no idea what to do they needed Rose to calm Down Thomas so Thomas could calm down Grant but they still had no way to calm Rose down other than just letting her exhaust herself and every time they had sedated the brothers it just led them to having worse panic attacks when they woke up so they did what they could Lance and Bobbi grabbed Thomas and dragged him one way as Fitzsimmons and May grabbed Grant dragging him in the opposite direction while Skye and Coulson grabbed Rose and started head to Skye’s private practice room (Fitzsimmons had accidentally discover that Rose and Skye’s power were similar enough at anything that suppressed Skye’s power also Suppressed Roses’ power) which was outlined to stop Skye’s power from effecting anything outside the room but inside she could practice for however long she wanted Coulson waited outside while Rose was done since this Panic attack was less severe than the last one she didn’t end up passing out this time so they rushed her over to where Thomas so waited for him to Calm down before rushing Thomas to Grant after they had calm down they head to Grant’s room and did what Skye affectionately called a puppy pile (even though since Skye shared Grant’s bed most nights so when ever they did this she was kicked out of her bed) the three siblings climbed into Grant's bed and passed out almost on top of each other they did this every time one of them had a close call during a mission Coulson passed the mission on to another team not knowing what had triggered the three siblings and not wanting to go through all three of them have panic attacks at the same time ever again it took three weeks for the sibling to lose the haunted look in there eyes and they refused to tell anyone what the trigger had been that wasn’t the last of the panic attacks (Well it was for Rose) but the team get better at handling them
