I’ll say one thing, I am SEATED to see what happens over the next year(ish) with bg. I’m so curious to see if he keeps up this level of engagement with the kid, which will convince me NOT that he is a dad but that he’s probably not going to end it and wants us to let it go, or if we go back to pre-doc filming relationship, which will give me an extremely icky feeling about everything but also make it clear this inclusion was necessary for some Other Reason. It’s impossible to ignore that he only started caring about Freddie because of filming. Now we wait to see if it’s the new, permanent state of affairs, or if it was a bandaid because of all the fuckups the last few years. I don’t know which is better/worse for him or for us.

Sometimes could just be coincidences but even if one wears an outfit that’s not coding, it doesn’t matter really because they can text/call/tell each other in person so coding with colors or something isn’t something they need to do anyway, and when they do, I don’t think it’s to prove anything to fans. I think it’s a message to the other, or just to show public support in some way. Sure some may call out to fans more than others (maison shirt after Harry’s house announcement or adding woman to first show back after that Lo*fie nonsense) spring to mind that made me go, wow these fuckers so obvious sometimes but yeah I think they’re all about keeping it private and people that pick up on it will know. They’ve grown and matured from 1D days when it looked like they were banging on the closet door so to speak for people to know

I actually think Harry's fans don't sing along because a lot of them are too busy making y/n tiktoks and don't know the lyrics to any songs other than As it was and watermelon sugar. The other day I watched a video of Harry singing Matilda and the audio was so clear because the whole place had pin drop silence until the chorus (the part people knew) came. Harry has more casual fans and Louis has more dedicated fans (as any other smaller scale artist). This doesn't mean that Harry has any less dedicated fans, just that the ratio is different. Got nothing to do with how the crowd is.

I especially loved this bit at the end about her thoughts on possibly Directing films one day:

“I’d love to be a Director. I think I need to learn a bit more. I need to soak it up. It’s such a tricky position to have, and to lead, and to be a leader on a film set. You really have to be-You have to know your shit. And if you don’t a lot of people can get, you know, twisted up by that. And I think, for me, I don’t want to go in and not know and then affect an actor badly…It’s something that you really should go in knowing that you can do it. Yeah. It’s very obvious that Freddie isn’t really comfortable around Louis.

But, look, I think what Louis wants people to take away from this film is that he’s a good dad who dotes on his kid. It’s pointless to keep trying to prove he’s not his kid. Those of us who know, know. I’m done yelling about it. That doesn’t seem to be what Louis wants or needs at this point. Whatever the future of babygate is, he’s going to deal with it in whatever way he sees best. As a fan, I’m focused on his music. I just can’t waste any more of my life on babygate.

Another bit that stood out to me was Louis admitting he was naive and blind to the power and politics behind the 1D machine in the very beginning.

It was sad when he spoke about being so happy that a producer was willing to spend ‘hours’ working on a vocal recording with him because he ‘naively thought it meant something’, ‘because the producer holds the power in the final cut of the song, doesn’t he’.

How crushing for a 19 year old to realise his own naivety and to have to accept you might be one of the famous faces of the 1D product but that you have no power, and seemingly very little opportunity to do anything about it. 

I think many people can relate to being young and being embarrassed by your own lack of experience and ignorance of some of the cold, harsh realities of life - particularly when it comes to business, status and hierarchy.

In my opinion this is where Louis is actually the most revelatory about himself. He isn't afraid, or too vain, to admit to feeling naive, stupid and embarrassed. He owns it as a learning opportunity and as an example of what has shaped him, for good and bad, as he has moved forward in life.

A few months back when bbg was discussed, before we knew about the documentary, I have seen you saying may be Louis is too deep into that but I didn't fully understand it then but now I'm beginning to think you were right, he could be too deep at this point. I get that, but believing bbg was a delusional story that fandom made up will be like me questioning my own intelligence because when I joined the fandom I read a lot of masterposts and cross verified it with a lot of resources before I finally decided where should I be in the fandom. The kid is lovely & lucky to be loved by Louis regardless of whatever the relationship is.

Oh yes, I feel very gaslighted and that's the worst part. It's absolutely insulting for us who have been around since the news about the baby first broke. But yeah, the stunt is 100% not ending and the documentary made that plenty clear.

I don't think Freddie is "lucky", he didn't ask for this situation and his mental health growing up in this mess was put in serious danger the minute they decided to keep going with it. But he's lucky it happened with Louis, of all people, to seem to actually care about him and be aware of how much of a massive impact the stunt would be on his life and - in my opinion - decided to take control of the situation and try to repair the damage. Neither of them asked for it, but I can't help it to take Freddie's side, always. And although I absolutely don't agree with some of Louis' decisions, exposing him so much being one of them, it gave me a lot of comfort knowing that at least Louis is there for him.

Honestly the kid content wasn’t even the worst part, I was prepared for that but why did I have to listen to Simon talk TWICE. Nothing new but I still didn’t want to see his ugly mug
