I was never found of parties, the kind where you "dance" to bad music and drink until you forget your own name. And I payed the price for being like this. I was deemed weird; I lost friendships by stating that I hate drinking and drunks, never smoked a cigarette in my life and didn't feel the need to "live", which nowadays means going to the club and get involved with as many people as you can.

My own kind of fun doesn't involve alcohol or loud trashy music. And even though I sometimes feel like I am the "odd one", so be it. I won't be forcing myself on this new culture.

Let me read my books, seating outside on fresh grass, on the arms of only one lovely man, baking sweets and writing to my heart's content. Let me enjoy my own definition of enjoying my life by embroidering, plan cute outfits, going for walks and everything that makes me happy.

For all the girls that might be reading this, you are not the "odd one", you just have different priorities. Don't let them change you 🎀

I remind myself of these 4 things every morning:

1. Women should always aim to be refined, polite, and well-spoken.

2. Arch your spine and your shoulders back. This is good posture.

3. A lady should not swear, and gossip is a sin. Remember those two things always.

4. Humility is one of the most attractive traits a woman can have.
