Getting Instrument Calibrated
Calibrating your instruments is very important. In today's industry, more instruments are being used without firstly being checked for traceable accuracy, yet the accuracy of the instrument could be the difference between wasting a whole measurement process, and being correct the first time.
The importance of calibration is not just to check that the instrument's displayed values are within specification, but also to help you understand the inaccuracy of the displayed values at specific points of measurement. When you're calibrating an instrument, it's best practise to calibrate at points of measurement critical to the instrument's application. For instance, it's a legal requirement for food caterers and retailers to ensure hot-held food is kept at 63C or above to avoid cultivating harmful bacteria, therefore it would be advisable to calibrate a thermometer at 63C, or as close as possible.
A calibration certificate proves that an instrument has been checked and verified against these critical points of measurement, and will list any errors the instrument has, giving you confidence to demonstrate to an auditor or customer that your instrument reading is within the specified accuracy, and is fit for your desired application. The certificate will be available for most instruments that are used in a professional environment where traceable accuracy is required.

Help
Everytime I tune this ukelele it always sounds off compared to others and I'm starting to wonder what it is. Every time I try learn a song it just sounds out of tune, it was a birthday gift from a relative last November and the company is Gear4music which I haven't had a very good past with. Anything I could do to fix it?

‘stiff volume knob’ repair
A lot of people suggested electrical contact cleaner, but that was not the solution. I took the guitar to my local guitar shop and as many people predicted I would need a loose wire soldered. Luckily, my Grandad was willing to help and he has soldered the wire. I’ll get the guitar back on Saturday!

Which electric guitar do you recommend?
Hello
I wanna buy my first electric guitar (used) with zero knowledge of music. The first option is to buy a used Fender Strat Mexico Player Series. The second option is to buy a used Charvel Pro-Mod DK 24 with changed pickups, Bridge: DiMarzio EJ Custom. Eric Johnson’s signature pup. Neck: DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Area 58.
Since I do not have any information about these pickups, I would be thankful if you help me know whether these pickups are good, and which one you recommend.
Charvel is $100 more expensive.

Mystery flute
Can anyone help me identify the specific type of flute? I think it is bamboo, but I'm no expert. 6 holes, no bottom hole for the thumb, end-blown mouthpiece. It says, 'made in india'. I tried googling, but I'm not getting any exact matches. (Top, bottom, and side views pictures respectively.)

Anyone know what this is?
I already posted this to r/unusualinstruments but I wanted to ask here as well.
I got this from a music store in Greece, and I can't figure out what it is. I think it's a flute but I'm not sure of what type. The blow hole is on the opposite side as the finger holes, which is throwing me through a loop. Any ideas here?

what is a low-mid budget electric guitar i should get?
so, ive been interested in music since pre school cos it spoke to me, specifically rock and pop punk and ive always admired rockstars and indie bands. recently ive wanted to be a VTuber (virtual youtuber) and my character is, you guessed it, a wannabe punk rockstar, so i think combining that and my love of rock music, im already a DJ (of sorts) ive been torn between drums and guitars although i have a ukulele so i chose a guitar, but which brand, body, headstock. etc i DEFINTLY know i want a rhythm guitar (im not a bass guy at all i dont think) so please help me. thank u
