Hey y'all. It's been a time. I've been dealing with some medical issues that were recently diagnosed, went to the ER after a performance because I passed out during a show on stage due to heat exhaustion/possible early heat stroke, Mr. Man also passed out and was transported, I had a show as mentioned, and a million personal issues came up including being in the middle of a job search because of a contract ending.

Still have something not great looming but I hope to be around more. Sorry for the radio silence. I've been run ragged. In a show now but it's calmer(ish) at the moment so yay!

So I didn't mean to ghost anyone, I've just had a sucky time but I have missed being around!💝💝💝

“So I’m your conscience? Like that little cricket thing? Or is this more of a common sense check? Do you want me to make little siren noises if you’re making a bad decision or just yell stop repeatedly?”

Surprisingly enough, she held onto a rather neutral expression though her eyes were trained on him and only him. Although she could already feel ‘bad idea vibes’, that had never stopped her from agreeing to just about anything when it came to him. What was one more lapse of judgment, really?

“I’m going to do both.”

Realistically, he shouldn’t feel the cold. 

This was a harsh planet, the extremes brutal, but he was not here. He just knew she had to be awake, because he could feel the cold through …something. Somehow. 

He would, if he could, give her something, a blanket, something. 

He couldn’t. Instead, he was awake due to dreams, and even if he was seeing her, he could tell from that lack of presence that he was awake. Confusing enough. And he should just leave her be. He was useless as he was, and he was starting to understand what was happening to him. 

“I told you to keep your eyes on the sky. I told you what to look for. I didn’t tell you what to avoid.”

Her little shelter helped with those extremes but only so much. She’d been collecting tiny scraps of fabric from the Outpost when people weren’t paying attention--enough to fashion what looked like a blanket. Thin and barely functional, it was at least something.

However, the moment she felt his presence, the harsh cold of the evening upon the desert planet seemed to lessen just a bit. Her only friend--she considered him that. Even if she was sure everyone would call her crazy for believing that he was real--Rey had to hope. Even her imaginings couldn’t match just how real he seemed to her. 

Besides, there wasn’t anyone around that looked like him here--she had a good imagination but not THAT good.

“I’m supposed to avoid getting in people’s way. And fighting big people. And Plutt when he’s mad. But...he’s mad a lot.” She felt proud of her answers and looked over to him with a toothy smile.

“Oh! And monsters. Someone told me there’s a sandworm that’s waiting to eat me because I’m annoying. But that’s silly, right?”

Sorry for the absence. There’s been some stuff IRL that has me very stressed but I will try to poke at things when I can. I have rehearsal tomorrow and Tuesday but I hope that after that I can be back on track.  Thank you for being patient. Muse is selective and picky atm because it’s hard to focus.

Her eyes only briefly drifted down to the holo projection, mostly out of a desire to be nosy, but his smile wasn’t lost in the mix. To her, that sight was far more important presently as she was sure that later she’d be inundated with information and battle plans. That could wait. 

Just like all of them had had to wait for her and her various delays...again. Time constraints were still something she was getting used to admittedly. She was getting better--especially with something to race back to.

Squeezing his hand, she let the corners of her mouth lift in a half smile as if she was still trying to be a tiny bit covert. Not like she had anything to hide but she was trying to be at least somewhat professional.

“Hey! I was only a little late this time.” Semantics. “But, was I late enough to miss the long-winded briefing?”
