Maury Chaykin passed away in 2010. Born in New York City, but was considered a Canadian actor, featured in many Canadian movies. He was a very good actor, playing some very memorable characters in independent movies.

Danny Kirrane in the 2010s. Danny Kirrane is a British actor. He started his film career in 2007 on an episode of UK TV program, Skins. He continued playing one-episode characters on various TV programs until he played regular character Dave on tv series Trollied, for all 14 episodes of Season 3 in 2013. In 2014 he played a featured character in the musical, Walking on Sunshine, a Mamma Mia-like musical using 80s hits instead of ABBA. He also played a featured character in The Hatching, about a predatory crocodile in a British Village in 2014. In 2015, he appeared in 9 of 13 episodes of TV program, Critical. In 2016, he appeared in 2 of 4 episodes of mini-series(?) Dr. Thorne and a small part in 3 of 7 episodes of New Blood. Also in 2016, he starred in the 6 episode comedy, Wasted, as Morpheus. In 2017, he appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and one episode of Game of Thrones. In 2018, he appeared in 3 episodes of Poldark, the historic film Peterloo and had starring roles in Fubar aka Killer Weekend and Ravers. In 2019, he appeared in one episode of Brittania and featured in all six episodes of TV series Don’t Forget the Driver. Danny also does theater productions and short films.

Throughout the sixties Victor Buono was in high demand in Hollywood appearing on almost all of the tongue-in-cheek Secret Agent crime shows that were popular at the time. Victor was a very large gay man and the campiness of these shows were perfect for his over-the-top villains. He appeared in I Spy, The Wild, Wild West, Perry Mason, The Man From UNCLE, The Girl From UNCLE, Get Smart, THE Cat, It Takes A Thief and of course Batman. He also appeared in Dean Martin’s Matt Helm movie The Silencers.

Patrick Newell (1 of 2). Patrick Newell is mostly known for his role as John Steed’s superior, Mother in The Avengers series. He once famously said that “he has a weight problem- the more he diets, the less work he gets.” The above stills are from before The Avengers. #1 and #3 are from the film Unearthly Stranger, #2 is from episode 21 of Interpol Calling, #4 is from a teleplay of the Dickens Novel, Mr. Pickwick, Nos 5-7 are from The Alphabet Murders with Robert Morley and Nos 8-10 are from Secret Agent, episode #8.

Donovan Scott in Sheena, 1984. This is the film that prevented him from appearing in Police Academy II. I don’t know which was the best move for him, but I think appearing in maybe two more Police Academy movies would have given him better name and face recognition. But I certainly took notice of him. And he is at his most adorable in Savannah Smiles from 1982.
