You have never been in love,  until you’ve seen the sunlight thrown over smashed human bone 🌙

We didn’t kiss. Maybe it would all have been different if we had; if she’d planted her feet straight through the ground and stayed there long enough for me to taste the bubblegum on her mouth one last time. Maybe she would have remembered something important and stayed. Instead, she just smiled, her golden hair dry and shining while water soaked through my clothes and clung to my eyelashes. Her dress was clinging to her thighs, and I watched the yellow sunflowers mold themselves onto her legs. “See you soon,” she said, looking at me one last time before turning on her heels. It was more of a goodbye than I’d ever gotten before, and I was struck still with it. I knew that, beyond anything, I would never see her again, that she had packed up the last of us in her boxes and moved on, but I wanted to believe that she meant it. She slammed the van door shut behind her and they pulled away, the U-Haul rumbling behind them—a faithful dog full of memories. She didn’t look back until they got to the end of the street, where her entire body turned to look at me through the rain-streaked window of the trunk. She puffed out a breath, fogging up a small circle of the window, and pressed her mouth to it, then she was gone. A cloud of smoke trailed after her the way most things did, and then nothing but the wet sound of tires on the soaked street. I wondered if she ever wished the rain could touch her. If the rain was ever sad that it couldn’t.

So maybe this time, love doesn’t kick down the door— doesn’t rattle the windows or plant weeds in the flower garden. Maybe you can’t smell the smoke because, for once, nothing is burning. Maybe this love is all the things those loves wanted to be when they grew up. Maybe you spent all that time running so that you’d know how to hang up your coat when you were ready.

when i see a photograph with a blurry spot I instinctively think “that is where I used to be” in all my dreams I see myself sleeping

humans are so cute, when we say goodbye we put our arms around each other and to show we love someone we bring them flowers. we suck the cum out of peoples dicks like a gogurt. we say hello by holding each other’s hand, and sometimes tiny little dewdrops form in our eyes. for pleasure we listen to arrangements of sounds, press our lips together, smoke dried leaves, get drunk off of old fruit. we’re all just little animals, falling in love and having breakfast beneath billions of stars

aight suits have come up a lot today. let me try to cobble this together real quick
men’s suits look simple from a distance but they’re actually pretty complicated. this is partly due to the complexity of their task (make any man look good!), and partly due to the length of their evolution
i am not going to pretend an artist needs to be persnickety about Suit Rules, we’ve all probably got better things to do with our time, but there are some basic things one ought not to screw up in order to be passably convincing
SUIT JACKETS ARE NOT WAIST LENGTH. The bottom of the jacket is at least sleeve-length, usually about a palm’s length longer. It’s not unusual for the hem to land at the bottom of the crotch - where the pants split into right and left legs.
KNOW HOW TO DRAW A REAL LAPEL. Lapels are those foldy-outy bits on your coat collars. Some outerwear lapels even button across the coat to protect you from the elements. There’s a LOT of varieties of lapels, though they can be roughly sorted into 3 types. The most common type is the notched lapel. If you don’t want to learn about the other ones, that’s fine. Just make sure you learn that one. Remember that the notch is in the upper third of the lapel, not in the center.
TIE KNOTS SIT FLUSH WITH THE COLLAR. THE COLLAR IS FLUSH WITH THE NECK. for some reason a lot of people’s Babby’s First Suit drawings have these loose dress collars with a neck gap, and then the tie is drawn so it appears loose around said loose collar. You can see the portion of the tie that goes around the neck, coming out of the knot. You shouldn’t be able to see that - you should only be able to see the knot, with the top edges of it under the collar. The collar shouldn’t “gap” from the neck. Furthermore, the back of the jacket should not gap from the collar, unless the characters are doing crazy things with their arms. Point 3 does not apply to people intentionally drawing ill-fitting suits and shitty tie knots.
You can skip town now, if you want. That’s the important stuff.
