Perhaps you would like to share a pot? It is only fair.”

“It would be quite a shame to lose something of such value,” he answered, matching the other’s smile with his own gentle grin. “There is no need for bowing. Your nod of approval is enough to satisfy such a small debt.” While Dimitri understood his noble position, the title of prince rankled his nerves, even if there was no true deference given. “I would very much like to share a pot with you, Ferdinand. It is an honor.”

Voice released a tch sound beneath his breath, the wooden practice sword gripped tightly in his hand. “Focus on yourself, boar,” He responded with resonance before wedging his foot forward, readying his position. “And don’t tell me what to do,” With a final word, he lunged his first attack, impatience getting the best of him out of annoyance, “I don’t want you to hold back either.” 

Dimitri took the insulting name of boar and allowed it to roll off his shoulders because Felix spoke the mere truth. The bloodlust he felt raised thick in his mouth, and he needed to batter it back with every inch of his resolve. “It was not a true command,” he demurred, raising his blade to block such an ill-timed strike. The sound resonated in his ears before the prince attempted to take a step back and strike at the other’s side.

He had offered them an oath to find a way to break their curse, but their interactions did not always carry such a serious nature. Despite his noble bearing, Dimitri did have questions that were rather inane, "Why do you address me as Didi?"

The voices of ghosts in his ears all called for vengeance. He listened to the specters' testimony. Dimitri couldn’t escape, no matter where he tread, but their mournful shrieks dulled in the presence of chaos. He felt their hunger for blood subside when faced with another in the grips of mourning.  

While the Boar Prince didn’t recognize this one's features, there was something royal about them. This noble quality would have put him on edge if not for the remaining slivers of chivalry left in him. Perhaps this chivalry allowed him to stand in a holy place without burning alive.  

“You’re too loud,” Dimitri snarled out into the open air, wild gaze shifting onto the one that stood small before a saint. He stalked forward and the black furs that surrounded his strong shoulders trailed about him like a protective shield. “The only creatures that will come to such a baying call are beasts.”
