Ryker nodded and smiled back at her. “Well it’s nice to meet you, Veronica. Can I call you Ronnie? Or Nika, maybe?” He asked, interested. The taller blonde nodded interested as she explained her situation. “Oh no, don’t get nervous then! It’ll be so much fun, the second you start performing, I swear.” He put an arm around her shoulder and pointed out to the stage. “If performing out in front of people is what you love, then there’ll be no bigger rush than playing out there tonight. You have my word.”

“Ronnie is fine, that’s what most people call me.” She gave a small smile before she felt her stomach flutter when he wrapped an arm around her. “I can so do this..” she spoke confidently, looking to Ryker. “Thanks for the pep talk. I appreciate it.” Grabbing a piece of paper, she wrote her name and cell number down for him, giving a nod before grabbing her mic and getting ready to go on stage.

“Yeah, let’s head back to my place. I have, to be eloquent, a fuck ton of stuff there. These days you gotta have a high quality set up to have a successful channel,” Adrian hummed. “Don’t worry, it’ll be set up nicely, not like a weird casting couch thing,” he chuckled and put his camera back in its case. 

“Give me just a minute to get cleaned up and i’ll meet you down at your car.” She spoke before seeing the manager was in and she went out of the back door and up the stairs to her apartment, she changed quickly into a pair of jeans, a white version of the shirt she had just been wearing and headed out, grabbing her bag along the way. “That’s better.”

“Then maybe we’ll be like Hannah Hart and just get invited to be on the Food Network enough times until they just give us our own show,” Adrian chuckled. The premise of making a youtube channel definitely appealed to his director prowess, while being straight forward enough to not be overwhelming. “Yeah, yeah let’s do it,” he nodded with a bright grin.

“Exactly what I was thinking!” The blonde spoke while getting the cupcakes iced and the ones that were cooking out of the oven and into the cooking racks. “Let me get these out and get my closing manager in and we can go back to your place and get the voice over done and possibly a general intro video for the channel and whatnot?” She suggested, “Or we can go up to my apartment upstairs and do it all there so you don’t have to lug everything around too much.”

Adrian had taken one of the finished cupcakes and helped himself to it. “You know,” he started with his mouth full. “You might be on to something there,” he said, getting frosting on his nose. “Lots of people get their start on youtube these days,” he mused. “And we’re practically overqualified.”

“If we get a large enough following, then money could be made with youtube as a creative partner.” Candace nodded, she had honestly thought about starting u pa youtube channel but didn’t have the means to do so yet. “Let’s do that instead. Seriously. It’d be awesome. You’d get credit for everything you do, and get any cuts if money is made.”

Adrian was careful to film from the right angles without jostling the camera too much from his own movement. Once that part was done, he again turned the camera off. “Honestly we may skip the competition and just get our own show,” he remarked with a light laugh. 

“I mean we honestly could have our own show online if we wanted to.” Candace thought for a moment. “We could start up a youtube channel and post to facebook and my website for the shop...just let Food Network scout me.” She gave a laugh, “Which actually isn’t a bad idea...”

Adrian set the camera down when he deemed they’d finished that section. “Perfect, we’ll edit some of your about me interview as a voice over for this. You have the mannerisms down - do you binge watch Cake Wars too?” he asked with a laugh before turning back to his camera. “Ready for part two?”

Candace gave a smile, almost as if it was impossible to stop. “That sounds great!” she spoke, getting some of the cooled cake out and set on the cleaned counter top. She gave a nod as she started talking while getting the icing mixed for cupcakes, explaining the flavor combination she had and what decorations she was going to use while she made all of them on camera, decorating a few cupcakes to perfection and showed them off proudly.

“Please, keep feeding my ego. I’m like Tinkerbell with applause,” Adrian chuckled as he finished his drink and followed her into the back. “Yeah, lemme just grab my camera from the car,” he darted back outside to grab it and rejoin her. “Alright, ready when you are,” he said and started filming. “I wanna do a batch of you just baking and decorating, and one where you describe what you’re doing,” he told her.

“I mean, it’s only fair that we keep balance of big egos.” she teased, raising her brows towards him and giving a nod as he went to get the camera. Hearing what he wanted to film, she nodded and started working the ingredients together in the non verbal making of the first batch of cupcakes. She smiled to the camera and blew a bit of flour off of her hands at the camera-without hitting it and laughed a bit.

“Where I come in is with the good lighting and high quality camera,” Adrian added with a laugh. “Exactly what I was thinking. Having some b-roll of you baking and decorating is what sells it. But we can take care of the ‘about me’ bit at my apartment, I could turn my study into a good set,” he mused. “I remember why I got so into this in grad school,” he chuckled.

“You also come in with amazing company and good looks, charm, wit..” She spoke with a kind smile before she motioned for him to follow her into the kitchen while grabbing her apron and tying it around her back and smoothed it out before she looked to him. “Ready?” she asked while getting the last of the supplies out to get the cupcakes made.

“i actually checked the website,” Adrian explained, getting his phone out. “They want you to follow a general format with auditioning, which is lame in terms of creativity, but it cuts out a lot of the guesswork, which makes our lives easier,” he explained with a shrug. 

Nodding, Candace looked to Adrian, “That’s totally fine, but we just take their basic rules and format and put our spin on them to make it appealing while still following the basics.” She spoke, looking up the general format he spoke of and wrote the formatting down and what she could do. “I do need to make some more cupcakes so that works, you could film the process and I can help you do the editing?”

“Blue’s your color,” Adrian remarked with a grin, taking another sip and adjusting his glasses, which had slipped forward a bit. “Well, no need to delay the inevitable, is there?” he retorted with a smirk. Their back and forth flirting had extended over the past few weeks, it felt like the natural progression as far as he was concerned. “Let’s call it a date then,” he confirmed.

His compliment made a smile come to her face, “I suppose you’re right.” she spoke softly, sipping from her coffee. “It’s a date.” she agreed, a slight flutter in her stomach at the chance their flirting had finally come to this next step. “So Mr. Director... how do you suppose we go about this?” she questioned, grabbing a notebook and pen.

Adrian stopped by his apartment to put the food away. He also changed his shirt, realizing he had a bit of a stain from lunch. Once presentable, he headed over to the shop and sat at the counter. “Next time I’ll take you somewhere you don’t work at,” he chuckled lightly as he took a sip from the coffee she’d made for him. “It’s only fair.”

Candace set the coffee in front of Adrian once he had gotten settled. She adjusted her pale blue v-neck that had her restaurant logo on the back. “Like the new shirt?” she asked, spinning around a bit to show off the shirt, lifting her long blonde hair so he could see the large logo on the back of the shirt. Securing her straightened hair into a ponytail. “Was that...” she started speaking while turning to him, “Your way of asking me on a date?”

“Take your time, I’ll drop these goodies at home and get them in the fridge and meet you there,” Adrian decided. He only lived about five minutes from campus, giving him enough time to go there and back and not keep her waiting. “See you in fifteen or so?” he offered as he started to the door.

“Sounds wonderful, I’ll see you soon.” She spoke with a smile as she got the closed temporarily closed until the next manager would come in who was closing up shop. Making her way over to the brick and mortar shop, she ran upstairs to the apartment that was hers and changed clothes before heading downstairs. She relieved the opening manager and made herself and Adrian new coffee and had to ready for his arrival.

“How bout it, then?” Adrian grinned. “We can go grab coffee, then I can film your audition. I actually have a lot of old camera equipment lying around from my wannabe-director phase,” he remarked with a light laugh as he recalled his post-grad personality.

Candace swallowed hard when he had agreed to go out for a drink and suggested coffee but not too much later offered to film her audition. “That sounds absolutely wonderful. Give me about ten minutes to close up here and I’ll meet you over at the actual shop?”

“Look at you with your entrepreneurial prowess,” Adrian mused with a grin. “I keep telling you to apply to one of those food network baking competitions, could be fun,” he remarked as he took the box. “Besides, I bet these’ll come out as a three way tie with what you can do,” granted, he did have a notably large sweet tooth - turning to sugar when he gave up alcohol, but he liked to think that was beside the point.

“I may eventually have to make a video audition for one or two of those shows. It’d be pretty cool exposure for the shop.” Candace agreed with a nod before grabbing her cup of coffee and taking a sip. “They may, or may not. “ She smiled, “Though if you keep it up, I may ask you out for a drink sometime.” she spoke with a simple raise of the brows from behind her cup.

Muse A meets Muse B while on vacation with their families, they hit it off and something starts to spark( they sneak off and go on dates and do things.) By the end of vacation they've grown so attached that they exchange numbers and plan to meet up at some point over the summer. Little did they know, Muse B is the cute girl from the coffee shop Muse A frequents and when things go back to normal and they are both at the coffee shop, he texts her and hears a phone go off and BAM!
