To all the people saying that Ronance endgame wouldn't make any sense, I would like to remind you all of Korrasami's existence.
If Korrasami was able to do it, then Ronance can and SHOULD do it too.

let the sun only shine on me through a falling sky, i'll be alright
main pairing: ronance | characters: nancy wheeler, robin buckley | 947 words | rating: t | caretaking, nonsexual d/s dynamics | title from fare well by hozier
Spinning around and posing, Nancy grins at Robin while wearing a pair of sunglasses off the rack. They’re big, and goofy, and it makes Robin laugh when she starts wiggling them from behind her ears.
“You look like an owl, Nance.”
“But like a hot owl, right?”
“Sure, a hot owl.”
Nancy sets the glasses back down gently, making sure they’re centered like all the other ones before moving on. Robin follows wherever Nancy leads, taking her hand so they don’t get lost amongst the crowds of people. They go back into the buzzing main floors of the mall. There’s people everywhere, walking, standing, pushing strollers, taking phone calls, eating, almost everything you can imagine. There’s not a single square inch of quiet space. Nancy brings Robin into a candle shop, one of those tiny artisanal ones where the cashiers can see you no matter where you’re standing. Robin lets Nancy’s hand go to wander around, staring at the color-coded displays. She smells a few, cradling a small teal one she finds particularly appealing while she walks around. Nancy’s on the other side, flipping over tiny hand soaps in a bin. Robin finally makes her way around the center table back to Nancy, where she’s collected an assortment of candles.
“Babe. I think we have to get all of these, we can put one in every room of the apartment,” she presents the candles she has, of various sizes, so Nancy can look at the scents. “It’d really add to the ambiance of the whole thing, I think.”
The scents don’t match, because of course they don’t match, but they’re all good scents. Even if they’d make the hallway smell like sea foam-matcha latte-warm bread-golden honey. It’s worth it. Nancy watches Robin check out, then they’re on their way to the next store. It’s somewhere between the candle shop and the waffle bar that the weight of the world finally hits Robin. It always does in places like these, but if she let it stop her every time, she wouldn’t leave her bedroom, she thinks. Nancy’s grip on her hand tightens, almost as if she knows exactly what she’s thinking, and she kind of does. Robin beelines for the first open chair she can find and plops down in it, resting her head in her hands. There’s not another open seat so Nancy sort of just hovers, waiting for her girlfriend to move, or say something. She doesn’t, she just sits there and stares at her shoes. Nancy crouches down, watching her, putting her hand on her calf as a silent greeting.
“Robs, let’s get you home now? We’ve had a long day, yeah?” Robin nods and lets Nancy take the candles, and her hand, so they can find an exit. It’s always Nancy’s job to remember where they parked, because according to her she’s got a memory like an elephant and that’s very helpful for parking. They make it outside and to the car pretty quickly, and the drive home is soundtracked by Robin’s go-to playlist. Robin unlocks the door to the apartment, kicks off her shoes, and sort of just stands there, staring at Nancy.
“First step, we are going to get in comfy clothes. No more jeans. Is that okay?” Robin nods, and they head to their room. Robin doesn’t need help getting undressed, but she lets Nancy pick out her pajamas. They’re dark blue and flowy, her favorite type of fabric. After they’re both dressed again, they sit in their bed, Robin hugging a teddy bear close to her chest.
“How are you feeling? You can do the taps if you don’t feel like speaking, here, I’m putting my hand down.” her hand rests close to Robin’s thigh, not touching, just close.
“I’m just tired.” with a sigh, she nods, mostly to herself, closing her eyes. “It’s too much noise all the time.”
“Lay down for me, on your back.” Robin listens, setting her teddy bear off to the side. Nancy scoots closer, her knees near Robin’s torso.
“Can I touch your stomach?” “Yeah, you don’t have to ask every time. Don’t ask every time.” Nancy nods and sets her hands down, applying the slightest bit of pressure. “Breathe in. Deep breaths, I want to feel my hands moving. I’ll count for you. In, one…two…three. Out, one…two…three. We’re gonna do it four more times.” Nancy’s voice is soft, comforting. It helps the breathing get easier and easier, and by the end there’s already less tension in the room.
“That was five, good girl. How’re you feeling now?” Nancy’s hands are rubbing small circles into her arms, applying even pressure. Robin gives a small smile, her eyes still closed. “Uh-uh, I’m gonna need some verbal confirmation before we move on.” Robin opens her eyes if only so she can roll them dramatically.
“A little better, Nance, thank you. Can we watch a movie?” She sits up to face Nancy and they both lean forward so their foreheads are touching. Robin’s thinking this girl is the love of her life, and it’s not just the endorphins from the praise. Nancy’s just smiling, reaching up to cup her hand around Robin’s cheek. They stay like that for a few seconds, maybe years, before they remember Robin’s request. One of them had the genius idea when they moved in to put a tv in their bedroom, so they don’t even have to make the arduous journey to the living room couch. Robin picks something easy, a campy romance with predictable storylines. They cuddle together, Nancy holding Robin while she holds her teddy bear, and when they fall asleep Robin’s overwhelm is the farthest thing from their minds.

Why Can't You Open Up to Me?
From the enemies to lovers midpoint prompts. Requested by @misfittq. I'm going to be honest I'm not sure what this is or what universe it takes place in but I don't dislike it so it'll have to do.
Nancy was stuck. She was stuck in a basement or something. It was dark and dusty, and she was stuck. It wasn’t something new. She had gotten stuck before. It was part of the job. Part of who she had decided to be. It had been scary the first time. She remembered how she thought she was going to die.
But this time she wasn’t scared. She was used to this. She was annoyed though. Not because she was stuck. Okay, maybe a little bit because she was stuck. But mostly because of who she was stuck with. For once she wasn’t alone.
Nancy had complained about the solitude of the job plenty of times. She had complained about being all alone. But now she craved the damn loneliness.
Robin Buckley was infuriating. Nancy only knew her from the wanted posters in town. She might have European or Russian or neither. There were plenty of rumors about her. There were plenty of rumors about Nancy too. Nancy had vowed not to believe any of them. Until she had actually met Robin. Just a few days and she truly believed Robin could be evil.
“You’re bleeding,” Robin said from where she was sitting on the ground behind her.
“What?”
“Your shoulder is bleeding. Probably from our fight earlier.”
Nancy turned around. “You probably hope it’s infected or something.”
“You think so poorly of me?” Robin chuckled. “If I were to kill someone it’ll be in combat.”
“If you were to kill someone?”
Robin looked down, avoiding Nancy’s glare. It was odd how Nancy felt a slight stab of compassion.
“Do you think you could help me? I doubt I’ll be able to reach it?” Nancy asked instead. Breaking the silence and the tension that was building around them.
“Sure.” Robin pushed herself to her feet, slowly approaching Nancy. Right before she reached her, Nancy turned around. A sign of faith, trust, something that really shouldn’t be there. But they were stuck together, and Nancy was bleeding and if she had wanted to, Robin could have killed her hours ago.
Nancy couldn’t see what Robin was doing. She could only feel her touch, gentle and soft against her skin, and hear the inhale when Robin uncovered the wound.
“You’re not from here, are you?” Nancy asked. She hoped she sounded kinder to Robin’s ears than she did to her own. She doubted it when nothing but silence followed. “It’s just the stories—”
“Yeah, I know the stories.”
Nancy sighed. “Why can’t you open up to me?”
“Why do you want me to?”
“Because we are stuck here together for God knows how long. And because you could have killed me earlier, but you didn’t. And because you are taking care of me. And I don’t know why you are doing it, and I would really like to understand.”
“You could have killed me too, you know.” Robin pulled away, dropping down on the ground again and Nancy slowly turned around to look at her.
“You had pushed down on the ground.”
“Yeah, but when I dropped the knife. When I dropped the knife, you could have killed me. You were still holding yours. Could have stabbed me in the stomach or the heart and then pushed my corpse to the side to run off. But you didn’t.”
“I could barely move. Your knees were digging into my arms.” But that was a lie. She could have easily stabbed Robin if she had wanted to. The reality was that she hadn’t really wanted to.
“I’ll open up if you do,” Robin said, looking up at Nancy.
They were stuck. They would have to wait until the search party found them and then they’ll have to figure it out. But for now, they couldn’t do much. So, Nancy sat down in front of Robin and started talking.

You Shouldn't Be
Robin gets bullied in this one. I'm sick and tired and I have an early day tomorrow so please forgive me.
Do you have any prompts yourself? Or do you want to dive into what I wrote before? You can read my previous prompts or send me some new ones.
It wasn’t anything new. That didn’t mean it stopped hurting. Some things never stopped hurting. Some things like her mom telling her that her rambling was a flaw. Or her classmates shouting insults she told herself every night. She wasn’t sure how they had figured it out or if they didn’t even now at all. Maybe they just thought this was the worst insult in the world. To Robin it might have been.
So, she did all she could. She kept her head down, avoided confrontation, bit her tongue when she had to, and she had to. She did everything to become as invisible as she could. She did everything, and yet it wasn’t enough. Because those vile words were still thrown her way. She couldn’t walk through the hallway without being confronted with it.
Tommy Hagan was the worst one. He never gave her a second to breath. Jason Carver wasn’t much better. Robin sometimes wondered what they got out of it. Maybe it was overcompensation.
“There’s dyke Buckley!” Jason shouted as Robin exited the building.
Her eyes scanned the parking lot. She knew Steve was somewhere around. He always was. He always parked in front of the school, he always picked her up. She couldn’t see him now.
“What’s going on, Buckley? Are you upset?” One of Jason’s friends was laughing. It made him sound like a broken record.
“Don’t you know you are supposed to look at the people who are talking to you?” Jason stepped closer. Robin stepped away.
“I think they should kick you out of school. I feel bad for all those poor girls that have to get changed in the same room as you. Do you stare at them when they take their bra off, Buckley? Are you a freaking pervert? You are disgusting.”
“I’m not disgusting,” Robin whispered to herself. She wasn’t sure she believed herself.
“You don’t think you’re disgusting, Buckley? You think it’s normal to get off to the image of your friends?”
“I don’t—”
“Oh, fuck off, Jason.”
Robin turned around to see Nancy Wheeler approaching, her bag hanging off her left shoulder. She was wearing a pink skirt, and a light blue blouse and Robin vaguely registered it should look ridiculous, but it didn’t. Nancy looked great. Even despite the scowl on her face. Possibly due to the scowl on her face.
“This isn’t about you, Wheeler.”
“Well, frankly, I think it is. Because me and Robin have gym together. Didn’t you worry about the safety of the girls who shared a locker room with her?”
“What?”
“I have to say I can’t complain. I would much rather share a locker room with Robin than with you and your goons any day.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, at least Robin has some decency. Can’t be said from you. How many times have you asked me to fuck you again? And that whilst you have a girlfriend. What does Chrissy think of that?”
“You keep your mouth shut to Chrissy.”
“You leave Robin alone and I’ll consider it.”
Steve rushed forward. Robin wasn’t sure where he had come from. “Jason, back the fuck off.”
Jason’s eyes were still boring a hole in Nancy’s face. Robin could only assume he was debating whether or not she was bluffing. Robin doubted she was. She had never caught Nancy in a bluff before, and she knew Nancy wasn’t a good liar.
“Back off,” Steve shouted, pulling Jason away from them.
“Don’t touch me,” Jason shouted back.
“You better stay the fuck away from my friends, Carver.”
“You’re pathetic, king Steve.” But Jason turned away.
“Are you alright, Robin?” Nancy asked first, placing her left hand on Robin’s arm. It felt far too intimate for a public parking lot.
“Yeah, yeah. I’m fine. I’m used to it.”
“You shouldn’t be,” Steve chimed in.
“Steve’s right,” Nancy agreed. Her hand fell back down.
“It’s alright, guys. I’ll survive.”
Robin walked away in what she hoped was the direction of Steve’s car.

ok but what if ronance moving in together sorting through the boxes and furniture and laughing at the messes they get into, the occasional petty arguments thrown in and some playful stubbornness then just this moment where they stand there for a minute just holding each other because they both realize that holy shit they’ve actually done it, they got up and left, that they’re still actually doing this, messy and imperfect but together.

"You don't talk much," Robin notes, eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of those...Things. The sun illuminates most of the dilapidated highway and barren, wilted fields on either side. It would be easy for either of the two to spot one, but then again, that was a double-edged sword, and with how fast those things could move... It was a good chance that if the creatures spotted the trailer-towing van they would tear it to shreds faster than they could escape. Nancy humms in false thought, momentarily bringing Robin's eyes away from the scenery around them.
"Not a fan."
"What, of talking?" Nancy glances away from the road, a look mixed half of genuine questioning and annoyance.
"Not a fan of talking, no." She responds finally, adjusting her grip on the steering wheel, and Robin couldn't help the flutter of relief and something else entirely in her chest when the frizzy-haired brunette finally drew away her gaze.
"You know," Robin wasn't sure where she was going with this. Nancy seems more annoyed than usual, and it wasn't like they hadn't had this conversation before. "You do talk to me. Eventually." She was rewarded with the small chuckle it drew from the woman driving, albeit dry.
"Do I?"
"Oh yeah," Robin smirks. "It's usually around Lyons." She looks down in thought, fiddles with the immense amount of rings on her fingers. "You tell me about the time you went there with your family."
Nancy looks back at her, drawing the taller woman's gaze back up to her crystal eyes.
"Your brother got lost," She continues and Nancy looks away again, biting her lower lip lightly.
"I've never been to Lyons." Oh, the multiple times you've said so would suggest otherwise.
"You tell me your middle name; Danielle." She says it almost like a question, knowing full well that that piece of information had never been disclosed to her. Nancy's answer is harsher than before, quicker, almost like she knows the game Robin's playing.
"That's not my middle name." It's so quiet, almost a whisper, but the murmur carries through the entire van with ease. Robin almost leaves it at that, but something about Nancy's expression makes it impossible to keep her damn mouth shut.
"You find your brother in the arcade, by the way. 'Mike', you said. "
"Maybe I said it all just to keep you quiet."
"But," Robin sighs, "You do talk to me."
"Buckley, I do not need to get to know you." She huffs. "Saving the world doesn't necessarily require deep, personal connection, and," Her eyes darken, brows furrowing in a way that has Robin leaning closer, studying the guise as if it was the last thing she would see on Earth. "And if you knew what was good for you, you wouldn't want to get to know me. It's the only way you get through this...whatever this is."
And because Robin just can't seem to let something go, she whispers again, not meeting Nancy's gaze.
"What about Holland? You get to know him?"
The van screeches to a halt and Nancy whirles around on the soldier.
"How..." Even through the anger, Robin can see the tears filling Nancy's eyes. "How do you know that name?"
She swallows, genuinely wondering if this conversation would lead to another reset.
"You mentioned him."
"That's not possible."
"Then how do I know his name?"
"When..." Nancy pinches the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes. "When did I mention her? Under what circumstance-"
"Her?"
"When, Buckley?" But Robin's brain was still on a continuous loop.
Her. Her. Her.
"Is she the reason you won't talk to me?" She whispers finally, and maybe it was the sincerity in her voice that had Nancy sighing, turning her pricing blue eyes away and back to the road.
"Don't ever mention her name again." Her tone was harsh, but Robin didn't miss the single tear that fell after the shorter woman blinked.
"Why," Her voice cracked. "Are you..." She trails off, because she had originally been going to ask "Are you in love with him?" But...
Her. Her. Her.
"She's dead." Is what she settles on. It's not a soft answer, not a kind one, but she says it without a hint of bitterness.
Nancy only nods.
"I watched her die 300 times over and I remember every single detail." The "I couldn't save her" remains unspoken, but Robin understands.
"I'm sorry," She offers, and Nancy meets her delicate gaze. "You don't, you don't have to talk about it."
"It's fine." The answer is short, clipped. It's said in a way that means finality, but it's Nancy who continues after.
"It's just war."

I Love You
An anonymous prompter asked for Robin and Nancy kissing and saying I love you. So, I couldn't refuse that. Sorry, for the wait and if you are waiting for a prompt I'm trying my best to write it but life is very busy.
Do you have any prompts yourself? Or do you want to dive into what I wrote before? You can read my previous prompts or send me some new ones.
Robin’s hands were resting on Nancy’s stomach. It felt nice, being allowed to touch her. Being allowed to love her.
She hadn’t said it yet. Those three heavy words. She was scared to scare Nancy away. Nancy who had told her she had trouble falling in love. The last thing she wanted was to push Nancy away.
“Thanks for inviting me over,” Robin mumbled into her girlfriend’s ear. Her actual girlfriend. She wasn’t sure she’d ever get used to it.
Nancy turned around in Robin’s arms. “Of course, I like having you around. Lately I can barely go a day without you. It’s becoming a problem.”
Robin loved it when Nancy said stuff like that. It was part of the reason she did it, Robin knew that much.
As a reward, Robin leaned in to give Nancy a kiss. Just a little peck. Just to feel her soft lips.
“I love being here too.”
Nancy smiled, kissing Robin again. Her hands sliding under Robin’s shirt without moving any further. They just sat there, touching her skin and it was driving Robin crazy.
“I love you.”
Robin pulled away. She wasn’t sure she wasn’t imagining things. Had Nancy actually said that? Or was Robin really going insane?
“What?” Robin asked, her hands still on Nancy, Nancy’s hands still on her.
“I know, it’s fast and I know what I said about me not being sure I can even fall in love. But I mean it. I love you,” Nancy confessed, her voice steady as always.
“You love me?”
Nancy nodded, softly biting her bottom lip. Robin wanted to bite that bottom lip.
“I love you too. Fuck, I love you so much.”
Nancy smiled, grabbing Robin’s face and going back in. Robin bit into Nancy’s bottom lip, eliciting a moan.
“I love you,” Robin said again.
“I love you too,” Nancy replied.
“I love you, Nance.”
Nancy giggled, kissing Robin again and again and again. “I love you too.”
“I love you.”
“Robin?”
“Too much?” Robin wondered.
Nancy shook her head. “I was just wondering if you wanted to sleep over? I’m positive I can convince my mom.”
Robin nodded excitedly. “Hell yes!”
Nancy put her head on Robin’s shoulder, her arms holding onto her waist. Robin pushed her arm under Nancy’s shoulders before tangling her hand in Nancy’s hair.
“I love you, Robin. I really do.”
“I love you too, Nance.”

Android Robin thoughts:
As an emotional support android, designed as a therapeutical tool for mental health patients, she was always programmed to easily imitate human emotion. Nancy assumes this is why she always seemed so sensitive and emotional.
The first time Nancy thought there was something more going on was the first time she made Robin cry. It's common knowledge that the only robots who could cry are ones designed to pass as human (ex. as spies, for example), or... adult activities robots, something Nancy found distasteful. She has two concerns now: one, that Steve got her one such android, and two, that someone had attempted to illegally turn Robin into one.
She's not way off on that one - Robin did run away from a previous owner because she learned he planned to have such illegal alterations done to her. He didn't get to go any further than artificial tear ducts, but even that was one of the most traumatic experiences in her life.
Robin can't eat (her hardware is not made for that and it could cause serious damage), but she does drink water to keep her system from overheating, especially while photosynthesizing. That's where the tear ducts get water from.
Nancy gets emotionally attached to Robin surprisingly fast. It's in her nature - she's empathetic and sensitive and she can't help but believe her when Robin is sobbing and wildly gesticulating with her hands and loudly begging Nancy to understand that she exists, she's real, she feels, she thinks, she's a living being who's concious and self-aware and she's so, so scared because her reality feels like the most terrifying form of existential horror, and she feels so alone.
Robin's system isn't designed to lose water quickly by crying, so she often gets weak, tired and dehydrated when she cries (which happens often). Nancy always helps her lay down on the couch or bed before she falls and hits her head, and is always quick to get her water.
Robin's body is as soft and warm as a human being's. It's completely indestinguishable from one. She even has an artificial heartbeat, meant to help patients calm down.
After realizing Robin is self-aware and concious, Nancy cleans up the spare room in her apartment she used for storage (she threw inside whatever thing she didn't need atm and let it gather dust there for months). She used to keep Robin there whenever she didn't need her, with a few books to keep her quiet whenver she turned herself on randomly (another technical problem). Now, she begins to think of her as a roommate and not as a more complex form of one of those circular vacuum cleaners that roll around on their own. That means she needs an actual bedroom, decorated however Robin wants, and a comfortable bed, with bookshelves on every wall and a closet with clothes of her own.
Robin has a lot of trauma responses when she's reminded of the abuse she suffered. Men raising their voices, people grabbing her or raising their hands or hitting walls and furniture always make her go still and quiet. Nancy always tries to be extra careful with her.
She hates being turned off by other people. Nancy used to do it a lot, whenever she got tired of hearing her talk, and Robin always let her because she didn't want to make her mad, but it instilled a great feeling of fear and powerlessness in her. Nancy doesn't do it anymore.
She introduces her to her friends as her new (totally human) rommate. The only people who know the truth are Steve and Dustin. They both have... a lot of conflicting feelings about Nancy's weird relationship with Robin, but Steve eventually comes around, understands that Robin is sentient and actually becomes very good friends with her. Dustin still has his doubts. It shouldn't be physically possible.
Robin is scared Nancy will one day realize just how broken she is and get rid of her, like everyone else before.
Robin gets a job at the local movie theater. She wants to help pay rent, as well as save up some money for herself. Nancy supports this, but she's terrified someone will learn she's a robot and report her to the authorities.
Nancy is the first person Robin comes out to as a lesbian. It's another one of Robin's beautiful surprises.
Nancy likes to read for Robin, whenever Robin's battery is low and she's too weak and tired to do it herself.
Robin's battery is charged faster when she's turned off (similar to being asleep, or unconcious). It takes her 12 full hours to get fully charged (while turned off), and her battery will last for two days until it's depleted. She usually photosynthesizes in the balcony. She very rarely turns back on right after finishing charging - it will usually take a few more hours, but never more than 6. Nancy could turn her on manually, so she could get back inside, but she prefers to carry her to bed. It's not an easy task because Robin is taller and heavier, but Nancy always manages one way to another. She likes to place a soft kiss on her head before leaving her to rest.
Nancy falls first, Robin falls harder.

i truly would not be mad if nancy breaks up with jonathan and tells steve to move on. and for vickie to tell robin she’s not interested but is willing to be friends. so nancy and robin decide they need to hang out after a long day of heartbreak and throughout their convos of explaining everything that’s been going on, they realize they have feelings for each other. i truly would not be mad at that. in fact, that’s exactly what i want to happen 😌
