HIII I HAVE AN ACTUAL ANSWER !!!! there r actually 2 different versions of comet in moominland in swedish: the original from 1946, and a revision from 1968. Which version you get is entirely dependent on which translation you read, because it depends on when the translation was made. The english version is a weird case because it was translated in 1951, so is translated from the original version of the book, rather than the 1968 version which most other language translations used.

in the original hes pretty exaggerative and joyous, which i really like tbh !!! :) but Tove decided to rework his personality to be more introverted in the later version
