Finished image above can be found on web:   https://www.behance.net/gallery/81183207/FMP
The reason it is posted on a professional website is because, more people can see it, it is more presented and looks nicer visually on the eye, it also reaches a specific section the artwork is uploaded to such as, graphic design, illustration, art, the people who have that preference on website, they can just search it or find out what new items has been posted.
The aim for the target audience is people aged 18+ as I was making a story and art for a game that would involve things in that age category.
The difference with the last final look is that it has more added texture to the work and more darker shaded areas.

Evaluation
Context:
The whole project was about designing a project for media productions. The purpose of the project in creative media industry is so that it is a concept art, which can be used in a game design or some form of a movie, a concept art is used to design and pre-plan something that will then be improved and made into a finished project and final look of the surrounding area in a game or a film.
Understood the specialist area quite well, Understood what concept art is and what it is used for, the project that was designed was for a game, it shows sort of story, perspective, and the meaning of the goal.
To plan out how I would be doing the project, schedule was created, it shows what will be done and when it will be done and to what standard and if anything has been changed.
In the future, the art would look far more realistic when brought towards a authorized project by the company.
Research:
Research was well, researched tips and techniques doing concept arts, watched videos and practiced drawing, as well as researching structures of buildings and landscapes.
Sources are well varied as it shows different images and sources looked at as well as referenced from, it also shows well enough practice drawings and tones and colour not only in sketch book but also digitally so it can show some experience and adaption to how it would be placed digitally.
Combination of research into the final work was good, used objects from different cultural architecture of castles and mountains around specific locations, as well as colours’ combined together creating something different but also using my own visualization of the landscape the area will be located in. Looked at some lighter areas from game which was played and referenced that too for lights and shadows to make the concept art more interesting.
The project has enhanced skills in concept art but also any kind of understanding when it comes to art. It helped the understanding of perspective and story withing the image and familiarized with the software much more, this will also help gathering any references and research in the future for any further projects, as there is wider knowledge of what is expected.
Equipment:
Internet connection to create research and learn things about digital design, computer will be used to make work and access internet connection, graphic tablet will be used to draw on a computer, sketch book and a pencil will be also used to practice general skills in drawing.
Problem solving:
Problems that occurred doing the project, was unable to get brush settings, figuring out how to draw perspective and how to blend colours and tones together with the art itself. Overcame the issues by: asking a tutor to show me where things are and how I could change things, practice drawing things, revising and studying how to do things and spend time learning the techniques in practice.
To tackle any future problems, it will be revised, studied, practiced, and tutors help if nothing can be done or moved on from the situation located at.
Planning and production:
Planned schedule bit by bit along the way to make sure, that nothing is missed out, adjustment was not too difficult however there were some emotional problems and stress but when you adapt and overcome problems things become easier, time however could be used more effectively due to that factor.
What would be done differently, is designing a mood board of different objects and foe’s that the main character can be faced with along the way, same techniques would be used and improved, and make a different scenery in a concept art.
Have made a bibliography to reference all other knowledge and skills gained outside of college and where any influences where taken from, to improve the standard of the finished work.
Practical skills:
Skills used was skills learnt along the way during the project, maybe it could be developed a bit more if there was just a little bit more time.
The challenge was creating a landscape concept art with perspective and draw distance with the colours as that was something never practiced before and achieved.
Skills learnt is perspective and view distance, it can be improved more by practice and practice as that makes a master in specific skill.
Evaluation:
Evaluation went well, as things have been evaluated bit by bit, however there was some more improvement in details needed before it would look nicely done.
Presentation:
The blog is somewhat structured upside down as, it is unfamiliar to use a website like this and not making everything on a paper, when a new post is created the newer things are placed above. It could be placed more clearer in the sense it would come from up to down instead of down to up.
Final art design has been posted to Behance website, it looks simple to use and aesthetically pleasing, looks simple and presents the artwork well.
Next time for projects using Tumblr will make sure that the posts are structured more aesthetically.

Feedback on FMP
lly like what he has made, I am a big fan of the castle on the hill, I think it really suits the peice all together. I also really like the depth that he has added into the work, all of the trees and mountains look really nice too.
- Jakub.
So far so good. I really l like the perspective type of drawing and I like that you can see what it could possibly become.
-Rashai
From the feedback I have received I have made some improvements to the work it self from the positive feedback I have received, I added some more trees, highlights and shadows.

Tumblr media
Drawn a basic rough idea of the concept art using paint brush tool with a basic Kyle’s brush to add some concept idea, from this basic sketch I would develop something better over the progress of work. I have thought of a castle on top of a mountain or a hill from looking at my references and researches I have made, adding the feel of perspective and distance to the work as seen other artists was doing that, and obviously to make it realistic and add some story behind the design.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above Images, are showing the development of details, using same brushes as before, have made layers to show different objects such as mountain, forest, cloud, rock, and so on. Then created another layer with darker tone of paint in the paint brush to refine some of the outlines and sketches to make a more accurate drawing.
Tumblr media
The above image is with basic colours and tones all on separate layers. This was made so I know where the light and shadows would appear, and later on it can be worked on.
Tumblr media
Above, used more tools such as burn tool was used to make shadowed areas with different opacity to make certain areas lighter and darker, I have also used highlight tool to add area where the light sources will be hitting the most to add some vibrant semi realistic feel.
Made some layers blur such as clouds, mountains, and fog, the blur used was Gaussian blur, Smart blur which was made to add a feel of mixture with colours and a sense of distance to show which objects are further because if something is further away it has less detail to eye and it gets more blurry as objects gets further away each time.
Tumblr media
Above, used a different type of brush that has been scattered and made it to change patterns every time pressed another button or let go with a graphic pen, different opacity to add some tones and painted a few hills that can be somewhat seen out the fog, duplicated multiple forests layers so the mid area don’t seem a bit of lacklustre and empty,  worked a bit more with clouds and fog, made a few bits darker on the castle.

Reflective
Week 1:
Started to do proposal and research about concept art that inspired me from a game called “Elder Scrolls Online” and have made some practice drawing or idea generation in sketchbook. Which was made to give me knowledge and idea for what sort of concept art I would like to create.
That knowledge will be useful to know how and what I can or would like to do and how for my concept art project, imagined what colours I may use and the proposal would also give me idea on what to research and how I could use or link that research to my first idea of what I was going for, it will also help me experiment and practice wit my drawing skills that I am uncomfortable with, so it will be something new to experience with.
The process was easy and I enjoyed doing it so, I am very satisfied with what I have made so far.
Week 2:
Referenced sources I’ve looked at in Harvard style and have made some drawings digital to get used to the graphical tablet. That was made so that I can reference things and knowledge I took from and where and place it into bibliography, and more practice drawing will improve my skills and improve the art in the later stage of development.
The Harvard referencing style was or is used to list down all the information and knowledge gained or revision outside of college such as YouTube at home or revision on some tips how to improve the work or make it better, the practice drawings was made to get me out of my own comfort zone, which indeed improved some of my drawing skills, such as perspective and viewing distance.
This was a little bit more tricky as I was unfamiliar with what Harvard referencing was so I had to check it out on websites and discuss with a tutor where are things so that I could move on. I liked referencing in Harvard style it looks professional and it show that the work was or is well organised.
Week 3:
Draw some things using the graphic tablet so I can get some more skills doing the final artwork and add more text and information about what was made and why. This was done so that the amount of work looks more appealing and much detailed so that it is worked in a higher standard.
The graphic tablet improved my adaptation to tablet and digital drawing as I was unfamiliar with it, it helped me get used to the pen and how to make works with drawing and using the benefits of a computer and having that benefit makes certain art bits look better than if drawn on a piece of paper and it helped me get the small details drawn in just by zooming in the area or subject and getting perfect tone and detail in it.
It was a very interesting and fun part to do as I had the chance to draw on a tablet and digitally, it tough me new skills and more practical skills in using one, it was easy work to get to adapt to the work of using the graphical tablet.
Week 4:
Practice some more artworks to draw and research extra stuff for secondary research, to improve some idea generation, this was made so that it would help me decide what to do later on.
The secondary research was a research made by other people regarding to concept art such as their work or their own tips and information on drawing the concept art itself, this done to have a understanding of what is concept art and what is expected as well as what I can apply from someones photographs, work, or surrounding area I would like to make my concept art in, and what cultural and architectural objects I would want to implement on my own work, this would give me a better idea on what I would like to draw and a better understanding of colour schemes and tones in regarding to certain location, culture and so on.
The work was good however I had to ask one of my tutors what I could possibly look at, after that I have looked at things, I liked doing it because that has made me open my mind to different fantasy things and architectural combinations for a castle or landscape.
Week 5/6: Did Final major project and annotate everything that was missed out or apply any further changes that will need to be improved on.
This is so that I am able to start working on my reflective journal a bit more and to be able to start my evaluation later on, and too make sure that I have everything finished before doing the evaluation itself.
Also took some feedback from my college classmates on what they think about my work so far and what I could do to maybe improve the concept art so far, that was made so That I have a clear understanding what the viewers may want to expect from the outcome of the artwork produced.
Really enjoyed taking some feedback from other students, their positive attitude made me happier and motivated me to do more, some criticism would also be beneficial as I would understand what I need to improve on, the task was rather easy as I did not have to stress about feedback or writing missing work in.
Week 7:
Have made some improvements and minor changes to my final project, such as adding some texture to the artwork, and changing the looks and over all positioning of the human character, this made so that the final art looks good and the best as much as it can be achieved. I have also made a evaluation so that there is detail of what has been made and what has been created, how did I make it work and any problems that have been occurring in the progress and how it was tackled, it also describes why the blog may not necessary look aesthetically pleasing.
Task went very well with some things taken into consideration from other people I have improved my work and I like it because it created skills I now know in later projects.

Schedule
8, April - 1 June
Week 1:
Proposal, Primary research and secondary research. Time frame taken to accomplish the research was a day. Annotated secondary research and some primary research.
This will be used to determine what thing I would like to reference from or get inspired.
Expected time to be finished within three days. The time have been met without any delays.
The work have been made to a good standard with some minor changes to what I have originally made, by taking feedback from other people I have understood the things that I was missing in my original process of work and that has allowed me to make sure that I have gathered as much things as I need in order to make my final work to a outstanding quality.
Week 2:
22, April - 28 April
Reference my research in Harvard style and practice drawing.
Have to also start  drawing some concept art digitally.
This is so that  there are links to what was looked at and can be checked at any moment if need to, practice drawing would improve flaws in art and enhance the art itself.
Expected time to accomplish the set task is a week. The set time has been accomplished.
The work is made to a good standard without any changes to initial plan.
Thing that has been changed was my overall referencing and knowledge how to improve my searching and how I could reference things a much more professional manner and show all my listing in a separate post so that it is much easier to navigate where I have taken some secondary research and things outside of college in my spare time, and what I have learnt.
Week 3:
Practice drawing and improve context on the blog. This process would be constantly improved as I progress further into the project. The progress went well as planned without much problems to a good standard.
what has changed that after all the practice and work done so far I had more information gathered in my head to know what I must do and what to write about in the finished pieces of my work, it also changed the idea and things I have initially planned to write about as in more detailed.
Week 4:
Develop skills in concept art such as painting, developing forms and proportions and distance view. Also do some more research for idea generation. The progress will take about 3 days.
The work is accomplished to a good standard and looks more detailed.
Things that have been changed was overall perception of my final major project with a wider knowledge of different skills and requirements I have improved my idea of what I will want to do in my final artwork.
Week 5/6:
Do Final major project and annotate everything that was missed out or apply any further changes that will need to be improved on. This will take me about two college weeks.
The work has been made to a good standard, what was changed was some brush textures and blur was added to the media to make it look more interesting.
Also have placed some more trees and hills that appear just above the fog and tried to blend it well with the surrounding.
Week 7:
Will create evaluation sheet and improve small bits on the project. This will take about a day or two.
The work was met to a good standard and what was changed in my project was the human figure by making the human not look as a plain solid projection compared to the artwork.
The final project has also been improved by adding texture which was different to what I have originally planned, it looks more vibrant and interesting.

Above art, inspires me to what armour could be made if the concept art would be decided to make a character for a game, the armour looks Japanese style but fantasy which I do like.
It also gives thought to what weaponry could be used by the character and what style they can be made in.
Colour scheme looks fabulous with the dark red, silver and black, giving a scary look to the warrior’s.

Top three images and one below arts are made by artist Jeremy Fenske who is a freelancer, concept artists and art director at singularity 6, They inspire to create some ancient American civilisation style concept art with the fantasy twist to the art work.
The amount of detail in these arts show many different combinations of digital art and how colours’ can me mixed together to create a astonishing art piece.

The cross hatching path is very interesting because, it adds depth and a form of perspective and it does not make the image look orthographic, it also adds form and a story in the image, which is highly looked up on it makes it interesting, which I would like to add something this sort as well in my final major project.

Links above contains lots’ of art and work made by a freelance, concept artist, art director of singularity 6, who lives in Los Angeles, California, USA.
His artwork inspires me to be able to do good looking art like him. Which is why I will do concept art to get better at it because practice makes a master.
Equipment:
Sketchbook: to be able to plan out and practice some art.
Computer: to be able to work on a device.
Graphic tablet: to actually draw things on the computer.
Internet: to be able to post my work and the process of my work into blogs.
Pencil: to draw ideas and quick sketches in the sketchbook.
Camera/Phone: to be able to take images from my work in the sketchbook and take primary images of landscapes for primary research and primary references’.
Game art design and its role:
Game art design is a subset of game development. It is the process of creating the artistic aspects for video games. Video game art design begins in the pre-production phase of creating a video game. The video game artists are visual artists involved from the conception of the game and they make rough sketches of the characters, setting, objects. The starting concept design can also be created by the game designer before the game is moved into actualisation. Sometimes the concept designer’s are called “programmer art”. After the rough sketches are completed and the game is ready to be moved forward those artists or more artists are brought in to bring these sketches to life through graphic design.
The art design of a game can involve anywhere from two or more. The larger the gaming company is the more people there are likely to design game. Small  companies tend to not have as many artists meaning that their artists must be skilled in several types of art, whereas the larger the company, although an artist can be skilled in several types of development, the roles each artist plays becomes more specialised.
Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in films, video games, animation, comic books, or other media before it is put into the final product. Concept art usually refers to world-building artwork used to inspire the development of media products, and is not the same as visual development art or concept design, though all three are often confused.

Above image taken from https://depositphotos.com/9004018/stock-photo-karlstejn-castle-in-czech-republic.html Karlstejn castle, Czech Republic.
The castle interests me with it’s colors, it blends in nicely with dark and light colours, it gives me ideas’ on which color pallet I may decide with what to go for in the final design, the brick and stone fits well with the location of the castle to make it blend in well with the surrounding environment.
Tumblr media
Image above taken from https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Neuschwanstein_Castle_LOC_print.jpg Neuschwenstein Castle, Germany.
Castle is very interesting because, it is located in a mountain region which would make the concept art feel more alive to the story of a MMO RPG game, it also interests me because it appears to be a challenging adventure for the character and the stone of the castle is just incredible almost as if it part of the mountain which is very interesting and makes me do something similar, Would like to take that bit from the design into my concept art.
Tumblr media
Above Image from http://canidrinkthewater.blogspot.com/2014/06/malbork-castle-and-teutonic-knights.html Malbrok Castle, Poland.

The castle inspires me on what style of architecture I would like to use in my concept art design, such as Gothic, this will make the theme of fantasy fit well.
Tumblr media
Above image https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Himeji Himeji castle, Japan.
The roof of Asian structures are very interesting it would help me create a more fantasy theme of the final art itself using the form of Asian/oriental mix of roofs using the European structures itself.

Castle above is located in a warm area meaning the stone is different, which will help me decide on colours if I would have a idea to create a concept art in the sort of hot area of the world.

Primary Research
Tumblr media
Drawing above has simple shapes, the further the object is the less detail it has, the sketch was drawn simple and then detail came later.  I will take this process I had with the sketch in to my final project because not only it is easier but also proves the term of concept art by starting something very simple with basic shapes and colors and later adapting them to make it all work together.
Tumblr media
The sketch above is simple but it has something different to it, it is not fully perspective drawing either orthographic, maybe a mix of both.
I would take a castle on a mountain or hill into my final project drawing but make it better and add so distance to it so that it looks much better and that it is not damaging the overall look of the art piece.
Tumblr media
The sketch above was a attempt to do something like the work of the artist in secondary research, this was a practice of making a zig zag road or path and try to have a attempt at doing something like that so it can be used in the final project.
Tumblr media
Sketch above was a first attempt on doing something perspective inspired from a something I saw someone doing that I liked, the perspective part is something I want to take out from a sketch like this.
Tumblr media
Image above is another practice of the same sketch I have made with a pencil this time only with a bit more detail as I have wanted to practice some drawing with objects having more details at the front and less at the back.
Tumblr media
Image above has the Perspective that I have practised doing so that I would like to implement that skill in my final project so that I have the finished look, to a good standard
Quick sketches in sketchbook on some concept art that was influenced from other drawings and some of original work. This will help improve the whole idea of understanding concept art, and help to be able to make proper art on the actual end piece.
Tumblr media
Image above provides depth and lightning, which would be tried in the final piece.
Tumblr media
Image above provides basic shapes and coloring when the object appears further, it is more grey and less detailed than the objects that are on the front, which will be attempted in the concept finish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image above contains perspective, which will be tried to be used in the concept art.

Images’ above provides great lightning from the source where the light is located, as well as distance and some perspective view, which would be interesting to use it in the art piece.
Above are images/screenshots of a game played “Elder scrolls Online” created by “Zenimax Online” and “Bethesda Studios”, inspires and gives idea what can be taken away from the world around the player or the concept art itself designed that could be seen on loading screens. This is a big impact on helping to determine what concept art wished to make.

Link above contains a video on YouTube of tips for, Environment concept art and how to draw landscape better so that it looks more interesting with the story and atmosphere within the art and what actually will be drawn and how to adapt key features of things to add depending on the characteristic and life in the concept art story throughout the image.
This helps me out by making sure of what should be thought in the process of making the art to actually work together and make it more interesting, as well as what should be kept in mind and what should be done in the process of drawing and the creativity of the story telling. It also helps me to think about what I could draw in when the final peace will be coming through and help me decide whether what objects will be used in the world and how I could draw the mood board because of the things appearing in the world that I will create.s

Link above is a video on YouTube made by Feng Zhu school, which a university in Singapore that learn people things about concept art, digital art, design.
The video help me learn and understand colour schemes, in concept arts and how to create some atmosphere, with some story telling or their location of were the art is place/drawn or presented in.
It helps me notice what things and objects are important to be used in concept art and to show the story and find some working methods of process and which gives some freedom and creativity withing short amount of time, and talks about some deadline meetings.
It also helps me see how I could paint my artwork and how to do it in a short amount of time. Also the amount of pixels that is needed to create a nice looking resolution and in short time.
How to sort out some layers and textures and how to add adjustments in a limited amount of time and overall a better organisation of the work process.

The drawing above has been made to practice some distance in drawing and view. What would be taken from it will be the tones of colors when the view of a subject will appear further.
Tumblr media
The drawing above has been a practice of three distances such as close, medium and further. Which will be tried to accomplish in the final concept image.
Tumblr media
Drawing above was a first attempt to making something stand out and make it seem more realistic with a few details and shading from a orthographic projection, which will be taken out, and placed in the concept finish itself.
Tumblr media
Drawing above is a general attempt on shading and trying to work out how and where the light is coming from and where it’s lightning the area, that is a important aspect of any art to make it semi-realistic which will be attempted in the final piece.
Tumblr media
Drawing above was a more complex attempt to have a try of something more interesting and more pleasant to view, something that will be taken from the try.

Images above was drown so that there is a practice and experience with color, this was done so that I would have a better understanding and adapting to graphical tablet when it comes to drawing the real final piece of art.

Proposal
Rationale:
During the progress of the course, made some illustration’s creating 3D isometric cities, developing idea generations, mood boards, practiced using Wacom pads, created some public space in unreal engine, created some animation’s, creating posters and trying to use typography and terminology appropriately, understanding the landscape, simple shapes, making things look more interesting whilst having as less detail as possible, played around with Photoshop. Learnt how to draw better with the proportions and autonomy, skills understanding the distance, views, shading, shapes colour, tools, and programmes’ and have a better thought of idea coming through in every single moment. This has driven me more in to graphic design as an illustrator, artist, and designer, because it gives me skills and I am able to do things I really enjoy doing, which is also art and creativity.
Project concept:
The concept that is aimed to design is a concept art/illustration design for a landscape, city design (possibly), character and views of world and reference a lot of the things, although anticipate to create an amazing landscape concept art, the tools that will have to used are illustrator, Photoshop, Wacom pads, computer, Internet and sketchbook’s, this will be needed to create some design and rough ideas of what to create and what to do, provide me references and ability to work and produce the work, and to actually realize it. The area that will be worked on specifically will be concept art/design. If needed time will be taken out from free time in order to finish the project on time and on schedule.
Evaluation:
Will provide images of progression from work, will write about all the ideas and changes if happened as well as the progress created and what was done. If worked collaboratively, it will be stated on the evaluation, and how it changed the progress of work.
