Oh, this was going to be fun, wasn't it? Sarah licked her lips and prepared herself when Kie took a seat next to her. Honestly, she wasn't sure what to expect but that hit her right in the face. "He smirks when I'm not looking?" She asks. Obviously she's never seen t if he's playing it sneaky. "Okay, so you think that he's trying to like, win me back from John B?" Because it's not happening. . . She's in love with John B. She was never in love with Topper, and that's the truth. "Do you think that he thinks I'm leaving him a line open?"

“okay, since you asked...” kiara sat down beside her gently. she was glad sarah had asked it instead of brushing it off as nonsense, because frankly? she had her issues with sarah in the past but it was topper whom she didn’t trust the most. she ran her hands through her hair to ease her nervousness before looking at her. “from outside? it’s kinda too friggin’ obvious that he’s insanely eager to get back with you, dude... the way he always seems to be around? how he smirks when you’re not looking? everything! trust me, sarah, he might seem like he’s just acting all kind like a friend should but i do feel there’s more to it? it’s not just the look of a friend at all.”

"Aren't you, though?" He shakes his head. "Please, look at how many times dad went to your shit and look at how many times he showed up for ANYTHING I did." Rafe is irritated, he's aggravated and he just wants to take it out on someone. . . unfortunately for Sarah, that someone is her.

"Oh, OH, now you want to be my sister. Right. When there's no way to throw me under the bus. Is that it? Fine, Sarah. How exactly are you planning on us working something out together? Enlighten me."

As usual, she was the bad guy. It was like the day she was born was the beginning of the end of his life. “I’m no one’s fucking pet, Rafe!” Sarah could smack him, but she knew that would only make things worse. “And I’m not trying to rub anything in your face but you can’t just tell me what I can and can’t do! You could just be my brother and say we can figure out what to do together instead of ordering me around.” All she’d ever wanted was him to realize ward was pitting them against each other for no reason and they didn’t have to let that keep happening to them.

Kie's parents were - - - scary. They were scary in a way that her dad wasn't. He was outright scary, her parents were sneaky scary. Probably even worse. "Yeah, your parents are intense." And mean, at that. They'd turned her away when they knew that she had no where to go and they just didn't seem to care at all if she ended up on the street or not. . .

"I know that." She smiles and reaches for Kie's hand to give is a squeeze. "Thank you." Sarah tells her sincerely. "As for the exception? Topper really isn't that bad, I swear." But maybe he was only nice to her because he still had feelings and Kie was usually around and so he had to be nice to her too.

Glancing around, she took care to see where Rafe was, as well as Kelce. They were pre-occupied, and so she pulled Kie up the stairs and into her old bedroom. "Okay. Just a quick in and out situation."

Kie smiled, she was glad Sarah understood. "At least you get it. Thats a step up from my Parents, who really don't, and keep telling me that I belong here. I don't want to belong here." She sighed.

"And you know the only reason i'm here, is because of you right?" Kie smiled. "I came, cause you needed me." She added. Sarah was probably her best friend, and even though they had had their issues in the past, since Sarah had become Pogue, their friendship had become stronger than ever.

Kie cocked her head a little, wondering who the exception was when she said "Almost all of them." In her books, Kooks were all the same. she had had her fair run in with them.

She then nodded "Like I would want to follow anyone else." She joked lightly.

The idea of a distraction sounds amazing right now, just a chance to get away from everything going on in her head not wanting the emotions to get too overwhelming.

"Just some kids at school." She shrugs. She probably shouldn't call them friends, really. They were more acquaintances than anything else. "They just don't think that I'd be able to handle veterinary school and they are probably right." She loves animals and loves helping them. But being a veterinarian might be too much. "Two weeks? Locked up in here? Nah." He shakes his head. "As much as I think it's fancy and shit, no way bro." JJ couldn't even fathom that shit. "Tomorrow?" He asks. "At least they're letting you go out at all." They had some kind of heart, right? "UH, yeah, that's my bad. . ." He grins again, lopsided and goofy. "Look, he deserves that shit, plus it's not like he can't afford to be out of 20 bucks. I need it more than he does."

“oh damn dude, i just noticed? there goes away your chance,” kiara smirked with playful giggled that seemed like wouldn’t stop coming out of her. god, he was so silly it was perfect. “oh selective hearing... makes a lot of sense, y’know? guess it explains a lot why ya never listens to us when we try to keep you from doing something reckless for the fifty time per day,” she honestly did love to tease him.

“okay... better not, see, if i dared to leave than i guess i’d have to stay for two weeks more in a row,” a huff of her lips, kiara leaned over her window so she could stay closer to him. he wasn’t wrong at that. her parents weren’t nice people no matter how it pained her to admit it. locking their child up in a room wasn’t education, but kiara tried to cope. talkings about boarding school were becoming more common inside her house and she didn’t want them to do worse if she pushed them. “they say i can start going out again tomorrow so it’s okay... but if they change their mind, i might reconsider your cool sneaking out idea... wait, did you what?!” her eyes widened, kiara seriously prayed her dad wasn’t crazy to count money not to notice it was gone. “seriously, dude, you need to work your skills of getting into places without having to take shit from ’em every time...”

What if he never found anything that he loved to do? Is he too young to be having that kind of crisis already? He tries to push it away. "Right, yeah." He agrees with his father. "Thanks, dad." He gives a small smile.

"Kara didn't know she wanted to do that? She's really good at it, though." Ricky pauses for a moment. "Okay, I know I can't exactly become the next Tony Hawk or Ryan Sheckler, so that's out." There's a quiet laugh. "Maybe I could be the first singing skateboarder." He's trying to make this a little more lighthearted.

"There's a lot of things that you can learn, you don't have to make that choice right now." Winn knew that graduating was scary. It was a transition into a new stage of life, the big scary future was here and it was real. Winn wanted to be there for Ricky every step of the way, as much as he could.

"You don't have to have a plan. Honestly, most plans people make never work out. Kara didn't know she wanted to be a journalist until just a few years ago. I didn't know what I wanted to do for the longest time. The truth is that you're never really going to know what you want in the future because it's always going to change."
