An updated timeline in case it might be a little confusing. Hope this helps!

A point that might need clarifying is how long it was after their break up before Lexa started dating Costia. As you can tell, from the time of their official break up in the rain, it was 10 months later before she went out on the first date with Costia. But if you consider that Clarke became emotionally distant 4-5 months beforehand, and suggested breaking up then too, it would really be more than a year (14-15 months) of distance in their relationship before Lexa started dating. Then, 7 months into their relationship, Costia told her she loved her. And that’s all we know at this point. This is just to clarify the timeline, and not necessarily to comment on when it might be appropriate for someone to start dating again after breaking up. 

Clarke and Lexa meet in the summer after college

They date for 3 years (living together half that time)

1 month in, they have their balcony date at Lexa’s apartment and Lexa tells Clarke about her marigold field memory

Beginners guide for wlw mangas/manhwas

1. Tamen De Gushi (Ongoing)

Okay. Listen. This manhwa is for yall out there who just want a chill, innocent, non complicated, 50/50 fluff-to-humor ratio story. Blonde and Brunette. And listen, listen, listen… This is DIABETES worth sugar. The art style is really good too. It’s simple but somewhat sophisticated. So far it has 139 short chapters (about 12 pages per chapter). There’s a linear story to it, but it sometimes drifts to a completely different timeline. It updates about once a month, or sometimes once every two months. 11/12

2. Fluttering/Exciting Feelings (Ongoing/Currently in Hiatus due to Author’s health)

Before I even start with this, I got major Korrasami vibes out of it ho ly shit. Anyway, this manhwa is currently at chapter 68, and sad to say that the author may never continue the story again due to cancer and several other reasons. But I am still adding this manhwa to the list because it’s sooo good. It’s not as fluffy and humorous as Tamen De Gushi because later in the story, No-rae (brown hair) brings in some drama while Seol-a has drama of her own kind. The art is simple but it’s great enough to look amazing. Still though, the manhwa is great, but sadly… it might be discontinued :(. 10/12

3. Citrus [Saburouta] (Ongoing)

I like this manga. I like it a lot. The art is good anatomy wise, but sometimes it gets too…. much….. Here’s a note, though: These two are step sisters. Yes. You heard me right. There are a lot of love triangles, a lot of drama, a lot of “Im-gonna-kiss-her-wait-no-nvm” moments, but there are a lot of WELL-DRAWN kiss scenes and semi-sexual things. There is almost no story line? Well, there is, but it’s your typical high school plot. It barely updates, and it currently has 30 chapters. Probably updates once every two months. 8.5/12

4.  Yagate Kimi Ni Naru (Ongoing)

Yo, listen. This one is ……. VERY complicated. If you are planning on reading this story, I need you to know that this is as basic as I can put it: Nanami hates herself and doesn’t want her partner Yuu to fall in love with her, while Yuu is someone who can’t fall in love with someone. The art is simple but good god it’s really good *o*. It has fluff, but for every fluff there will always be some sort of angst right after or before it. There is certainly a plot line on this but it doesn’t focus too much on the plot. Characters are great and they have a personality of their own. Despite the “Im not in love” thing that is going on in this manga, there are many, many, cute parts. It updates about once every month or every two months. 10.5/12

5. The Love Doctor (Ongoing)

(PS: this image is misleading btw but it was too fucking cute) I. freaking. love. this. manhwa. so. much. Now, this has many, many fluff moments but it also has its bulk of angst and drama. Love(ish) triangles, dark past from both parties, and there IS an age gap between the two but I forgot how many years. Still though!!! It is worth a read! The art style is cute and light and adorable, but sometimes the emotions can start looking the same in each panel (especially for one of the characters). Updates, I believe, every month. 11/12

6. Pulse [Ratana Satis] (Ongoing)

Look at this art. Look at it. Isn’t it cute? Well, if you’re here for cute shit turn the fuck away cus this IS indeed cute, buuuuuut it also has sex scenes. There is also fluff and drama, and as you can see, one of them is a doctor. The art style is pretty well done and really sophisticated. I can’t remember if there’s an age gap? I’m pretty sure there is? Anyway!!! There’s a story, yes, and also a shitty ex that no one should like but everyone feels sorry for (for good reasons of course). 12/12

7. Magan & Danai / Magan he Danai (Ongoing)

This one reminds me of Tamen De Gushi a lot, BUT…. This one is directed to the life of two women who love each other and what happens in their daily life. The art is much more detailed that TDG, and the characters have very different personalities. Danai, the shorter one, is the more mature one but also the more feminine one while Magan, the taller one, is definitely a fucking cry baby. To be honest, idk how frequently it updates? But!!! Still!! Go watch!!! 11/12

8. What Does the Fox Say? (Ongoing, 2 chapters left)

Ho ly shit whe re to be gin…? Definitely not light. It is not full of fun or fluffy or innocent. This manhwa is dark, sexy, angsty, drama-filled, teeth gritting, and very complicated. VERY, VERY, VERY, Adult. A story with a beautiful young blonde who loves a much older boss, and the much older boss has a shitty ex that everyone loves who fucked up a lot but she has her reasons. This is one of those manhwas that you need to ANALYZE every. single. fucking. scene. It is one of those where each scene MEANS something and you have to keep a sharp eye even at the sex scenes. The art style is good. Not amazing, but decent enough. As I said, it ends in two chapters. It updates twice a month (from my observations). 12/12

Slow Burn Fic Recommendations, as requested

Hello Clexakru! I am back with more fic recommendations. This time I am focusing on Slow Burns. These are the ones where Clexa takes their sweet ass time falling for each other and/or getting together. These may be fluffy or they may be angsty (although if I already recommended them in my angst post, I wont put them here). So in no particular order:

A Pleasant Undoing by @mopeytropey: Ahh yes, one of the golden fics. Clarke works at a bar and Lexa sells beer to said bar. Lexa is with Costia and Clarke cant seem to keep her cool anytime Lexa comes around. Clarke is “too gay to function”. But oh how sweet it is to see these two find there way to each other.

The Marrying Type by @artsy-polarbear polarbear: What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Except, of course, an accidental marriage that neither remember. Clarke wants to terminate the marriage but soft gay Lexa is living with overbearing, homophobic, and mentally abusive parents. Protective Clarke comes to the rescue and ends up realizing that sometimes doing things backwards is the exact right way to do them.

Blood Rush in the Hazy Glow by firetestsgold. College student Clarke loves to antagonize Lexa at a locals-only bar. Lexa loves to intimidate but Clarke isn’t backing down. Love the banter between the two in this one.

Head Over Boots by @cornchipmeteor. Clarke needs to get away and ends up working for Lexa’s struggling ranch. They do NOT like each other. Lexa is rude and Clarke is inexperienced. Slowly they realize that there is more to the other than just the walls they have built.

Caught Inside by NotaSoundMind. Surfers y'all! Lexa is loved by everyone - except Clarke. Great case of misunderstanding as these two knuckleheads slowly learn to find common ground.

Dance in the Lion’s Den by @commanderlexaofthegrounders . You know what I really loved about this? In another one of the author’s fics, Lexa was reading this story! How Meta is that? Anyways, this is an enemies to friends to lovers story where Clarke must teach Lexa how to dance for a wedding. These two clash in a battle of wits and stubbornness but slowly feelings and life begin to change.

Like an Open Wound by @commanderlexaofthegrounders . This just wrapped and man was it a great ride. Musician Clarke and bodyguard Lexa. Clarke is a little wild and Lexa is a little too devoted to duty.

Beat the Devil’s Tattoo by @sunspill . Lexa is the rightful ruler to a small country. Clarke is her oblivious roommate. Oh and there’s a motorcycle.

You’re the Only Love I Found (and I’m Hoping that You’ll Stay) by @jazzyjazzin . Clarke and Lexa work on the same show, their characters are lovers, and their lives are complicated. They dance around friendship and feelings that neither understand.

Those Icy Fingers Up and Down My Spine by @dreamsaremywords . Ah yes, the quintessential Harry Potter AU. This beast is a slow burn but worth the time. If it was an actual novel it would be nearly 2,000 pages long (trust me on the math, I have a PhD).

Butterflies by @tabithacraft. This is a more realistic version of a love story. Two people who don’t like each other, finding a mutual understanding, and commonalities. Love doesn’t always start with instant attraction or butterflies, sometimes it takes growth and maturity to find out what you have been missing was right in front of you.

Let the Flames Begin by @onemilliongoldstars. Dragon rider Lexa! Need I say more? Yes, I do. Another realistic portrayal of relationships. Sometimes the decisions we make are too much to overcome no matter how much we love. This is a slow burn. The ending is bittersweet and perfect.

Crimson by @thessclexa. Clarke and Lexa go to school together and Lexa is still with Costia. Good Modern AU. There’s an earthquake and a frantic Lexa that will make you laugh.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail by @jaansche. Sometimes there is a slow burn and other times there is this fic. This is so slow that the match hasnt even been taken out the box. But it is good. Food critic Clarke and Chef Lexa find themselves stuck on a cruise together after Clarke gave Lexa a scathing review. Trust me on this.

Easier to Be by @monkeykira. Secret Service Lexa and Presidents Daughter Clarke. This is a well constructed fic with a slow burn, conflict, and resolution that all flow together nicely. The chemistry is great between the two.

To the Edge I’ll Race you, to the End I’ll Make it, all the Risk I’ll Take it by @ordinarklo. Newer fic that just finished. Clarke and Lexa work at the same company and cant stand each other. Slowly their relationship changes as the both see each other in a new light. Sequel promised.

You’ve Got Mail (She Loves Me) by @orangeyouglad8. Clarke and Lexa business rivals. They also have no idea that they are each other’s online pen pals (email pals?). Things get tense when Lexa opens a store across from Clarke’s.

Catch Me, I’m Falling by @effortlesslyopulent and @clexa-hsau. Another must-read for the fandom - THE high school au. Lexa is the new QB and Clarke is the art student who doesnt get the appeal…..until she does. What I love most about this is the entire world that has been created for this version of Clexa on the blog. It’s wonderful.
