Summer mornings with James Potter are truly and utterly ethereal. That is the only way you could possibly describe it. Lazy hours filled with slow and languid kisses. Your bare legs tangled in the thin white sheets glowing in the dawn’s golden light. Dust swirling and floating in the syrupy summer air while the remnants of last night’s rain patter against the window, transforming into this morning’s dew.

You would wake up just that much earlier and stay as still as possible just to soak everything in.

His eyes would still be shut, mouth hanging ajar. His chest moving ever so slightly as his soft breath tickles your head. A blushing red sprinkled on his nose and cheeks matching yours from lounging in the sun for too long. But then, his eyes would flutter open and you would brush his hair away from his face futilely and hold his cheek as he kissed your palm with a tenderness that could only be found in mornings like these.

“Taking a picture would be a little more useful do you not think?” he would mumble in his raspy voice, looking at you with those golden brown eyes that held so much love and adoration, as if you were the one that molded the moon and placed it in the night sky. He would pull you close and drop petal-like kisses all over your hot skin, sweet nothings dripping like honey from our swollen mouths. A wicked smile would appear on his wicked lips as his calloused hands roamed underneath your thin shirt.

“James Fleamont Potter, don’t you dare.” you would laugh as he kisses down the column of your neck, while your hands say the absolute opposite as you would run them carelessly through his messy deep brown hair. These were the moments that you truly treasure in your heart and cherish with everything that you have.
