Glass Onion was so real for having a bunch of A-lister actors and celebs in tiny minor 10-second roles all throughout the movie. Hugh Grant as Benoit's... husband? butler? roommate? amazing. Ethan Hawke as "Efficient Man"? I expected him to join the group on the boat, but then I honestly forgot about him until the credits. Joseph Gordon-Lewitt as the voice of the hourly "Dong"? wouldn't be the same without him. I thought Jackie Hoffman would be in the whole movie? still iconic though. Natasha Lyonne, Serena Williams, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Yo-Yo Ma, Stephen Sondheim all playing themselves for maybe a minute? Angela Lansbury had a guest appearance at one point?? honestly, love that for them, this is what all movies should be like

Obsessed with the fact that serena williams sat there listening to the greatest detective alive and the founder of a tech company who’s just been embroiled in a public trial solving a murder case and she went back to reading her science fiction book.. queen of minding her own business

Just saw someone criticising the ending of glass onion bc "there's no reason why all the shit heads would have a change of heart and turn on miles all of a sudden" and it just baffled me like they didn't have a change of heart they realised he was about to lose all his power and there was nothing left to be gained from staying on his side they all hated miles but they stuck with him bc it was beneficial to them once they realised that was no longer the case they said bye

One of what, in my opinion, is the funniest reaction to glass onion is people seeing Hugh Grant answer the door and thinking. Ah yes. Benoit Blanc is married to Hugh Grant. Not Hugh Grant's character, but Hugh Grant himself.

And then they are utterly awestruck when in the captions on Netflix he is referred to as "Phillip" and not real life person Hugh Grant

so so important to realise that none of the “”””disrupters”””” ever actually disrupted anything. duke was a twitch streamer. lionel just got a job. birdie was literally a white woman profiteering off her own “scandalous” persona. claire became a populist politician. none of them could have succeeded in their chosen profession WITHOUT THE SYSTEM AIDING THEM. it really is the self-congratulatory wank-talk that is endemic to the privileged and helen and blanc (and cassandra to a point) saw STRAIGHT through it. good on them

it was so funny in glass onion when helen was literally just like "well what if miles just killed andi" and blanc was like naaaah he wouldn't do that. that'd be such a stupid thing to do. miles bron is not an idiot. and then the whole point of the movie was that he WAS an idiot and he DID just kill her. they put it right in front of us and a lot of people probably dismissed it (at least i did) cause we were expecting the murderer to be cunning like they usually are
