I’m reading a family lore book (on my family!) that contains a lot of information about my relatives up to my 4th great grandparents, and it’s like a fucking reality TV show.
My 3rd great-grandfather married a woman that was FAR too good for him (causing problems in her family), and then proceeded to ‘behave poorly’ and get himself turfed out of home one night by his daughter and wife.
The chronolographers are like ‘we never found out the exact reason’ but like. Guys. What are your thoughts on these comments?
“Patrick by all accounts had a lot of friends - all men. Of all his faults, Patrick was hardly ever seen even talking to a woman other than his wife.”
“We suspect Patrick may have been an alcoholic, as he spent most of the evening in the company of his many close friends at the local pub.” ”Rebecca thought they were a bad influence on him.”
“One night when Patrick came home from the pub, there was an awful row and he was ordered to leave the house.”
“Patrick moved in with two of his friends after being thrown out by his family. They were very polite gentleman. I thought it very proper that a household of bachelors should take in Patrick.”
“The household were thick as thieves and very close by all accounts. The other two men never married, which was a shame and a loss for all the single young women in Adelaide.”
“After Patrick’s death, as the family had disowned Patrick, only two of his children attended his burial. They were surprised to report two very well-dressed men who were strangers also attended. They had assumed the two were policemen, but the men wept as if they were Patrick’s family. Neither of them would make eye-contact with the children, and left in a terrible rush straight after the burial. Patrick’s children found that very rude and couldn’t understand why the men would behave so.”
Okay so I’ve just discovered my 3rd great-grandfather was a poly gay man who got thrown out by his family and now I need to find his grave and pay homage to him as an Elder Gay Dooland.

disturbed by how little ppl acknowledge the secondary health risks of vampire bites. if your vampire lover is drinking your blood you MUST be up to date on your tetanus shot. puncture wounds are at especially high risk for tetanus infections. just because your partner was born in 1312 doesn’t mean you have to die like it.
moreover they should be prepping the bite point with an alcohol wipe.
and while I’m at it, I’ve noticed a blithe disregard for health & safety when it comes to blood pacts. can’t believe I have to say this but you should absolutely NOT be cutting your palm open with the pocket knife from your belt holster (??????)
if you’re expecting to be in a blood pact/oath situation please just pick up some sterile finger lancets from the pharmacy. cannot stress this all enough.

As a person who spends a lot of time lying down and rarely does any kind of activities, I come off as someone who's taking a lot of 'me' time, or a lot of 'resting' time. However I have to assert that any time I spend recovering from an activity is not 'me time' or 'resting time', it's the time that is stolen from me. I can't do anything with this time. I am in pain, I can't move, my activities are limited to 'hopelessly distracting myself so that I do not experience the full horror of what's going on in my body right now'. I don't even get to have 'me time' because of how much of the time is stolen from me.

enough stories about how someone learns to truely be happy through love. i want a story where someone is desperately seeking out love thinking it's the only way to be happy only for them to learn by the end that happiness is what they make of it and they don't need love at all to make it.

Today my friend said something along the lines of, "It's gonna feel so good to get top surgery and get your huge F-cup boobs cut off. It's gonna be like shaving a matted dog," and that's like the funniest comparison to make on planet earth.

last night my partner held a somber little passover seder to show me what it’s about and when they got to the part where they were supposed to open the door for elijah they paused, frowned, and said “oh. huh. there is a clown.” and I looked out. and sure enough. there was a clown.

Autism acceptance includes accepting all autistic manners of communication.
That means supporting autistic people who talk in a "very childish" way. (I do this a lot irl)
Autistic people who do "TV talking" (this means talking like a character from your favorite media, basically talking in quotes and copying their speech patterns,as far as I know)
Autistic people who use echolia.
Autistic people who are very awkward/quirky when they communicate.
Autistic people who are overly technical,or have very sophisticated and articulate speech.
Autistic people who mumble.
Autistic people who talk really fast.
Autistic people who can't control their tone of voice/inflection.
Autistic people who talk in a monotone voice.
Autistic people who use different kind of sounds,or body language to communicate.
Autistic people who talk slowly and draw out their syllables.
Autistic people who use a lot of sentance fillers.
Autistic people who use Aac devices, communication cards, etc etc.
Edit: acceptance of nonverbal autistics is also necessary. Nonverbal people deserve love, respect, acceptance, accommodation and support.
