i’m screaming @ beyonce featuring jack white like bye i love that she keeps collaborating with all of these poster boys of rock music (eddie vedder, coldplay, etc.) because most of their fans truly have an unwarranted hatred of her and downplay her talent as “not real music” all the time so to have them be confronted with the fact that my fave is their fave’s fave is so vindicating

 i hate to do that whole condescending “millennials are bad” kind of dialogue because they’re usually really ridiculous sweeping generalizations that only apply to like rich white privilege yuppies. BUT I do think our gen. has really fucked up ideas on how to navigate relationships and just how we treat each other in general. I was listening to a podcast that made the point that everyone is just avoiding getting hurt and this isn’t like a new thing that millenials have started but we just figured out the science, like we know the formula to that shit and our “hookup culture” is a result of us just being smart enough to figure out how to successfully seperate the emotional from the physical

 and to b quite fucking honest i fucking reject that shit WHOLEheartedly. Like i honestly want to feel everything and tell everyone how i feel and what i want, if i like u i will tell you if i dont i will let you know

 im not scared of anything, im def not scared of getting hurt! like honestly fuck it! lets just feel everything always who else is with me??!! lol

Who started the lie that the African American community is a matriarchy? Do people not realize how much we are taught to lower ourselves to uplift Black men? How often we are conditioned to bite our tongues so to not disrespect Black men or to ‘put them down’?
