Spock brings the fork to his mouth to take his first bite. it’s not terrible, but it’s not his mother’s cooking either. taking emotion out of the equation, he understands this was a first attempt.  ❝ there is room for improvement. ❞   it’s objective and honest, but also he wanted to take logical care in his words.  ❝ it is ... passable. ❞   he was trying to be nice. yet, even he is aware his tone does not match or convey his actual appraisal. he there fore continues to eat it.  ❝ I can appreciate the attempt and the combination of flavors it produces. I can tell you have been studying recipes therefore, logically I did not and do not expect perfection. it will suffice. ❞

Sorry for the absence! I’ve been really tired after work with someone basically ghosting and making us short staffed at work. Do yourselves a favor, don’t work in a vet hospital.
