the oldest of the hawkins clan josh has always been the quiet one though that never made him weak. he’s protective of his siblings and those around him. being part of fight club also made him brave. it was hard not to be when he had such strong willed people as his friends. while he doesn’t apologize for his existence anymore josh is still very much the the soft one of the group. opting to suffer in silence or in his words than letting someone see him crumble. josh became a successful author and is working on the fourth book in his lost galaxy series. although he’s the child of a famous parent and has found fame himself, josh prefers a life away from the spotlight. he’s been dating dante mcqueen for a while. he’s still not keen on marriage but he’ll happily spend the rest of his life with dante. ring or no ring.

We could get a new toaster and I’ll try very hard not to turn it into atoms again.”

it was really adorable when they blushed. typical wally. in the many years that they had known wally, they had not changed in any way. it made his face light up with a wide grin, and the rage and frustration in his heart dissipated. they shrugged their shoulders as they considered showing them the message their agent had sent. not the best behavior for someone who was being compensated by the racer. kinda hurtful really for the many years they had worked together.

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────     there   were   many   people   that   wally   was   grateful   to   have   crossed   paths   with   during   their   time   in   elias.   one   of   those   was   francesco.   in   a   short   amount   of   time   they   had   become   one   of   wally’s   dearest   friends.   life   was   more   vivacious   and   fun   with   the   italian   around.   they   could   see   their   friend’s   anger   begin   to   dissipate   which   caused   them   to   smile.   wally   loved   fran   with   their   whole   heart   and   soul.   they’d   do   anything   to   see   them   smile.

a   small   pout   formed   at   their   words.   ‘   it’s   important   to   me.   i   appreciate   your   work   and   there   are   others   that   do   as   well.   i’m   sorry   your   agent   is   being   a   big   dummy   ’

they   brightened   at   the   mention   of   the   kids   because   josh   and   circe   were   wally’s   entire   world.   ‘   coffee   it   is!   they’re   wonderful.   such   angels   i   have   to   pinch   myself   sometimes   because   i   can’t   believe   they’re   mine.   ’

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────   wally   looked   to   the   girl   with   a   small   smile.      “   i   guess   the   obvious   way   is   a   job.   ”      which   is   exactly   what   their   father   had   told   them   went   off   and   married   someone   their   parents   didn’t   like   leaving   them   all   but   cut   off   from   the   axiom   fortune.   they   hummed   thoughtfully   as   wally   tried   to   think   of   other   ways   that   one   might   come   into   fortune   fast.      “   selling   clothes,   selling   plasma...   if   you’re   desperate   feet   pics.   ”      they   shuddered   at   the   last   one.      “   Actually   no   don’t   do   that.   ”      wally   laughed.      “   uh,   i   guess   what   i’m   trying   to   get   at   is   if   you   want   quick   cash   usually   selling   something   is   the   way   to   go.   ”

   sigh escapes reddened lips, shoulders sagging in resignation. a stark contrast from the usual vibrant and upbeat attitude she usually held. once again sorrel was short on rent. ask her and she’d tell you she had no real clue why that is ! it couldn’t be the new pair of shoes she recently bought and hadn’t worn out yet or her new coat she bought to brace the winter, or her wardrobe update she justified by taking advantage of markdown prices. no, sorrel was obviously good with her savings. she would never make such a mistake . . and yet as she looked down she realized her banking statements were telling a different tale. 

   lips forming a soft pout, both her head and flickering eyes turned slowly to the person next to her. she clasped her hands together absentmindedly. as if her mind knew she was about ready to plead with anyone for assistance. ‘ excuse me, ’ she coos sweetly. bright eyes, fluttering eyelashes, innocent expression. ‘ do you happen to know of anyway to get quick cash around here ? ’

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────   “   prepare   to   call   me   your   favorite   person   in   the   world,   pen.   ”      as   if   wally   didn’t   already   hold   that   title   but   they   liked   to   keep   it   thank   you   very   much.   they   were   doing   their   best   to   contain   their   excitement.   wally   kept   up   the   illusion   of   suspense   long   enough   before   they   burst.      “   guess   who   has   floor   seats   and   backstage   passes   to   the   4*town   concert   this   weekend.   ”      wally   didn’t   give   penny   time   to   respond   before   they   were   flashing   the   two   tickets   before   their   best   friend.      “   these   couple   of   besties   !   ”

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────       for   once   wally   wasn’t   dropping   off   josh   or   picking   up   asher   when   coming   to   howl’s   apothecary.   being   friends   with   howl   meant   that   wally   knew   some   secrets   of   elias.   they’d   never   pester   howl   much   for   information   even   if   they   were   a   gossip.   wally   could   tell   that   their   friend   had   been   a   bit   stressed   lately   so   they   had   come   with   a   basket   of   muffins   and   an   assortment   of   tea   in   hopes   to   brighten   howl’s   spirits.      “   nice   outside   set   up   howl.   little   disorganized   but   yanno   still   just   as   great   as   your   inside   one.   ”

Howl had been busier then he ever had been in his long life. He’d traveled further than he’d ever thought to, all in search for a way to put a stop to Maleficent. The Fairy inched closer and closer to achieving control of the town. He was relieved for the natural light in the town’s residents that kept her at bay. He’d spent too much time cooped up in his home and was driving Sophie crazy with his muttering so he took his books and moved outside of the apothecary. He’d set up a couple of tables out here not only for this purpose but for others to come and have a moment of peace. He was lost to the world as he poured over the magical book on the table. He could be very focused when he wanted to be.

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────   wally   laughed   to   themselves.   the   moment   alberto’s   eyes   lit   up   wally’s   heart   began   to   swell.   it   was   the   same   sparkle   that   they   saw   in   josh’s   eyes   when   they   suggested   ice   cream.      “   food   is   what   drives   me.   what   can   i   say   ?   ”   they   teased.      “   what’s   your   favorite   flavor   ?   ”

“I do love the support, babe, really.” Jim smiled at the kiss and almost forgot that he’d embarrassed himself a minute ago. Wally’s affection always served to brighten up any bad day he might be having. He was just that smitten. “But you’re lying and you know it, babe. I have ideas but they’re not always great. This is why we don’t have a toaster.” Jim like to save time on things but he’d accidentally cost them quite a few appliances because of that. 

🌱 ⠀  ⠀ ⠀  ⠀ ───────────   “   you   know   that’s   what   i’m   always   here   for.   moral   support   and   all   that.   ”      their   eyes   turned   into   little   happy   half   moons   as   they   looked   up   at   jim.   damn,   they   loved   him   so   much.   it   was   a   little   ridiculous.      “   me   ?   lie   to   you   ?   never   !   ”      they   feigned   offense   with   their   hand   pressed   against   their   chest.      “   some   of   them   are   great   but   we   can’t   always   have   great   ideas.   i   have   to   humble   you   somehow.   yeah   ...   i’d   love   a   new   toaster.   really   i   would.   i’d   stop   spending   so   much   money   on   toasted   bagels   if   i   had   one.   ”
