This might be one of my favourite scenes of anything ever cause it’s so blindly obvious how connected they are after the drift!!!! The way they carry this speech - it doesn’t sound at all like two separate people with separate thoughts, this is ONE thought, ONE message and it is bouncing between them speaking so effortlessly. It’s so different to how they talk together earlier on in the film - they don’t cut each other off or argue or talk over each other, the sentences flow between the both of them like they’re one person. It’s honestly amazing to hear two people sound so incredibly connected

the thing is that war should always be reluctant. no one should want to fight. legolas and gimli and aragorn don't want to kill the orcs, they just want to to save merry and pippin. gandalf does not want to fight the balrog, he wants to pass through moria unharmed. aragorn doesn't even want to take power from the stewards of gondor, he just wants the people to have a stable leader. faramir says it best when he hopes that one day they will tell stories, sitting on a wall in the sun, laughing at old grief. we just want better times. we just want to be happy. we don't want to fight, we only fight because we have to. because they are forcing us

i feel like the tumblr gays are sleeping on the show "Hollywood" on Netflix!!!! It's a great show that's basically a historical queer reimagining of old Hollywood. It asks the question: what if LGBTQ and POC representation happened onscreen much earlier in film history? What if studio execs stood up for injustice then - what would the landscape of Hollywood have looked like?

the premise is so interesting, darren criss and patti lupone are in it so all the gleeks and broadway girlies should be all over it, it's snappy and funny and lavish and I love it

very interesting to see the change over the course of 8 seasons of catfish when it comes to queer people

like a lot of the terminology and preconceptions nev and max had of trans people in s1 were Not It but you could still tell they were approaching those people with the intent to learn and understand and they allowed themselves to be corrected

and then in the later seasons they take a firm stance on being pro-trans rights and speak up on it

idk it’s just nice to watch a couple cishet dudes grow from being completely ignorant to strong allies

it’s been almost a day and like

yall buck is bi

not just in fanfics or fanon

he’s canonically bi

they actually did that live on tv for the world to see

they actually brought to life something that so many people can identify with and they did it in such a beautiful, tender moment that rings true to not only the character, but for the fans. for the people who see so much of themselves in these characters and in such a way that brings positivity to the screens of so, so many people who otherwise don’t get the chance to witness this self discovery and acceptance.

i just can’t believe we actually got to witness this, and i’m so greatful for the writers and the crew who helped support this. i’m even more grateful for oliver for seeing this opportunity and making sure what this represents was done in such a considerate, deliberate way.

The fact  Fandom takes Daniel Le domas complicated motives for saving Grace. His unstable relationship with his family as the scapegoat, his desire to keep Alex safe/ happy because he’s convinced Alex is the only one who still has a chance to exscape.  boil it down to oh Daniel must secretly be in love with Grace will never not annoy me. 

Yeah he’s mentioned to have hit on her deleated scene stuff but was clearly trying to chase her out of the family, scare her off instead of get with his brothers wife. 

(give Daniel more credit Just because you think Alex is shit doesn’t mean Daniel wouldn’t be terrible for that) 

Daniel loves Alex too much to try and seduce his bride, the first opening scene of the movie is Daniel hiding Alex away so he won’t see their family kill.  

Yes he admires Grace but its really more about Daniel wanting to do the right thing while flipping off his family and being able to save Alex.
