Hi! You posted a question a couple months ago about MCYT fictionkin that we answered (https://warpedvoxel.tumblr.com/post/737511367949582336/im-not-mcyt-kin-but-i-am-in-the-fandom-and-we). I wanted to include this discussion on our website compiling art and discussions about Minecraft fictionfolk (https://nylium.network). Just wanted to make sure that was alright with you!
sure do it !! ^_^

Otherkin are people who see themselves as something other than human. We might be animals, mythical beings, objects, concepts, plants, or really anything non-human. An otherkin’s identity is called their kintype.
Therianthropes are people who see themselves as non-human animals, or animalistic non-humans. We might be real animals, mythical animal, or animals from fiction. A therian’s identity is called their theriotype.
Fictionkin are people who see themselves as characters or species from works of fiction. We might be a specific character from the story, a member of a fictional species, or a specific character who doesn’t ever appear in the canon text. A fictionkin’s identity is called their kintype or fictotype.
Otherhearted people are similar to otherkin, therians, and fictionkin, but typically don’t see themselves as literally being the identity. Instead, we identify *with* it. The thing an otherhearted person identifies with is called their hearttype or synpath.
Otherlinking is the act of consciously creating an identity similar to a kintype or theriotype. It is debated whether one can choose to become otherkin or therian (I personally believe one can), and some people claim that “kinning” is only ever a choice, so this word was created. An otherlinker’s identity is their otherlink or linktype.
Shifting is any experience where one feels more like their ‘type than usual. Most often, people talk about the following two: phantom shifting, or feeling as if they have supernumerary phantom limbs: tails, horns, wings, etc. Mental shifting, or having thought patterns more like those of their ‘type.
Alterhumanity is a wide umbrella that includes everyone described above, as well as many similar experiences, and some approaches to plurality.
Some people, as noted above, claim that “kinning” is only ever a choice. They also claim that it just means “relating to” something. We call these people “kin-for-fun” or KFF. This name is a misnomer: making false claims about what kin means is not the same as having fun with a kintype.
I recommend otherkin.wiki for some more information (self-plug somewhat, as I am a bureaucrat)
yo if anyone's able to explain to me otherkin and therian terminology to me I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm new to all of this and I got a lot to learn

Fictionfolk doesn't include just fictionkin. It doesn't include just fictionkin and fictives. Lots of "fictionfolk isn't just fictionkin, fictives are valid too!" but I never see:
Fictionflickerers are fictionfolk, even if they don't have a permanent identity. People with fictional world hearthomes are fictionfolk, even if they're never a specific character. Fictherians are fictionfolk, even if they're a member of a species and not a specific animal character.

They did call it “awereness” on AHWW when therians commonly called themselves weres, so there is certainly some precedent!

I identify physically as a dragon from a philosophical and trans* standpoint. As I am a dragon, and this is my body, that makes it a dragon body, whatever that ends up shaped like. I intend as well to physically transition to some extent, which will bring my body closer to what is expected of a dragon body.
Any nonhumans who physically identify as such and don't experience delusions/are not schizophrenic/psychotic? I hear a lot about that experience being passed around but I don't think I've ever actually seen a written out experience of such. I'd like to hear more about that experience!

something about how the puzzler is depicted with a cane. something about how the only main actors of colour are cast as rats. something about how the queer identities of actors are erased, except for a gay man who is ridiculed for his sexuality. something about how showfall media treats its marginalised cast. something about how generation loss so horrifically reflects the stereotypes and ropes assigned to the queer and disabled and racially marginalised in past films and series. something about how we are still facing bias and discrimination in the modern live streaming industry
