Water Breathing (水みずの呼こ吸きゅう, Mizu no Kokyū?) is one of the five main forms of Total Concentration Breathing and utilizes the element of water in the user's swordsmanship.
Total Concentration Water Breathing grants the user the ability to utilize the flow of water in their swordsmanship.
The greatest strength of Water Breathing techniques lies in their variation. Water can change into any form, and forms can be adapted to any situation so the user can battle any kind of opponent. Some of the moves are even more effective while underwater.
aka Weathering with You, which, even though it kinda makes sense with the story, is still ridiculous choice lmao,
In a weird coincidence rain made me running 15 minutes late to theatre. Fuck the rain.
You think Kimi no Na Wa is the best-looking Shinkai movie? Tenki no Ko snatches that title.
I believe this movie is just an excuse for Shinkai to show off as much as sun flares, raindrops, sunshine, pretty skies, snows, foods and citylines as he likes because that’s what he does best.
This actually happened: I was like “Oh yeah Shinkai never makes cameos for his previous characters huh” Literally minutes later guess wHO FUCKING SHOWED UP
I like the characters. Just like Kimi no Na Wa, they are all people that feel real and lively. They hang out with friends, care about each other, have fun doing things together. And they have solid reasons to do what they do.
For the story, I think it’s more predictable than all his previous movies. Even I had no idea what Kimi no Na Wa would actually be about until halfway in the movie. But remember, predictable =/ bad.
The storytelling is fluid as ever. Tenki no Ko has the most dynamic pacing in Shinkai’s filmography imo.
I think that’s Shinkai’s trends right now? Tbh Kimi no Na Wa and Tenki no Ko are kinda like teen/YA genre that is like easier to be consumed? I mean they are way lighter than say, Five Centimeters per Second and Kotonoha no Niwa. Probably helps that the former two have rowdier casts too.
I still love them all the same. If you ask me which one is the best movie, I will have different answers for different contexts. But if you ask me which one is the best Makoto Shinkai™ movie, my answer is still Five Centimeters per Second.
This feels like telling you that messing with climate and weather is bad and global warming is real.
Radwimps is at it again and hoo boy the insert songs are as good as ever.
What am I without Makoto Shinkai? Nothing. I need more of your brighter-than-my-entire-life art, Sir.
“Who cares if we don’t see the sunshine again? I want you more than any blue sky. The weather can stay crazy!”“ Hodaka to Hina, as they were falling.
Probably my most favorite scene in the entire film! (But it was in the building scene when Hodaka was begging the police officers to let him see/save Hina that made me cry)
