#I just learned about whatever those gifs are from a couple months ago I was like whaaaaat l #I was a nick kid through and through #I honestly disliked Cartoon Network lmao #Nick had my fave shows: ATLA Danny Phantom Fairy Odd Parents #Nicktoons had My Life as a Teenage Robot and Kappa Mikey #The only thing I watched on Cartton Network was Code Lyoko lol #I liked Disney but I was definitely more into nick shows by a lot #Never willingly watched PBS or Animal Planet idk I always felt too old for them #We didn't have cable for a good chunk of my childhood either #Literally would rather watch nothing than PBS lol

But not when you're reading a book. Much to think about.

#Maybe it's just the script writer and storyboard artist in my but novels are different #They don't translate 1:1 with visuals for me #Yes some scenes are very visual but novels explore thoughts way way waaaay more than a movie ever could #That's why I get frustrated with things like the Dune movies #You're making a very political and thinky book into an action movie??? It just doesn't make sense to me #Ya know there's usually a reason it's written as a novel and not a movie #And that the book is always better #Because it was meant to be a book... Words. Not visuals #Anyways that was more than I thought I'd type here #I'm not saying I couldn't translate it but damn that's a very long and boring movie to visualize

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
