I was woken up by lightning, so I'm just gonna put a quick thing here: I'm very excited for the continuation of Zoya's arc, I wanna see how she comes to terms with the legion's disbandment, what scheme of vengeance she may be plotting against the underground and how the hell she gets detained in the first place. There's no way she willingly hands herself in without at least some form of resistance or agreement?

serpent walks towards the male, a hand adjusting the button of his shirt and even tugging one free so that she could get a closer look at the large snake tattoo burned into his chest. had she just met one that was seeking the same freedoms as her, to plunge eastside into a deep sleep, one filled with happiness and indulgent consumption of ambrosia. does she trust him enough to honestly give away her plan? for can two snakes truly trust each other.

normal and more sane individuals would think her to be mad, ambrosia being a deadly poison that turns those who take it into corruptors eventually, but in her mind she is freeing them. she doesn't care whether they turn... it just means that they were never fit for the realm of dreams in the first place.

the mastermind of an underground crime ring he was, and dealings with emet-selch were common place thanks to his large connections within europe. but his eyes were besotted upon his daughter, who was the main point of contact for dealings involving his own clan. his seasonal residence for this winter was norway and after inviting mya over for some business, things soon turned into a direction that definitely pleased the criminal overlord.

topics switched from personal to business and alternating between over and over when these two were in the same room together, that just came with the territory when two fiery individuals with similar passions and interests ended up in the same room. but as their chat carried on, belial would switch the topic to something a bit more personal. ❝ allow me to say something myself, if you would please. ❞

a prompt from over a month ago that i've lost asioduasdaf

was it some land borne illness that had the mermaiden under such duress? from her sniffles and small coughs, he thought it would have been much better for her to return to the sea to heal, but much to his surprise, she wanted to stay with him. perhaps it was due to the warm temperature or the fevers that rendered her unable to do anything than walk short distances for a meal. but the flame bird wanted to make life easier for her, at least for the next few weeks while the illness ran its course. and on this day, it would be no different.

waking up early to gather water from the nearby well in the village, he would return to their makeshift home. he takes a hold of a scented towel spiced with lavender and dips it into the pale of water that was now being warmed by the fire. suzaku returns to the side of his flame and daps it against her head. ❝ are you feeling better, dearest? ❞ asks the phoenix gently, taking a warm soup that he was brewing from the same fire.

he helps her sit up and offers the spoon, blowing on it gently to cool it down before offering it to her, hand steady to prevent any spillage onto her clothes. ❝ get this in your system, it's a chicken soup with a hint of honey... it should help your throat and cough. ❞

suzaku on day one was tempted to heal her himself with the use of one of his regenerative feathers, but he wanted her to experience some semblance of mortality. immortals like them were always so privileged with the ability to heal their injuries and illnesses much faster than others, or sometimes being immune to such concepts of pain at all. the positives and negatives of the land was what she wanted to teach her. cruel? perhaps, but at least he could pamper her properly.

once the soup was ingested by her, he takes the towel and warms it up in his hands once more before running it gently over her neck and arms, being careful and slow. flaming hues burned with love and affection for the maiden that he had grown so fond of.

❝ you idiot... i told you already you don't need to protect me! ❞ a hand raises, assessing the wound and tearing a piece of her leather jacket to stem the crimson that was now seeping from the white shirt he always wore, painting the innocent snow white in a dark hue of red. ❝ c'mon. c'mon... i'm getting you out of here. ❞ she lets out a loud roar, finally finding the courage within to lift up the heavier and taller male onto her shoulders, being care not to aggravate the wound further as she made a mad dash to extraction.

she left her axe behind, while the dragon's tooth meant the world to her, the life of the man who she was carrying on her shoulders meant more to her than a simple weapon that they could come back for later. not like anyone else but her could lift it. but once she got to the extraction point, waiting for chief and the rest of the group to return, horo removes her gloves and does her best to stem the bleeding further.
