President John Quincy Adams served from 1824-1828. He is the first president to be photographed in or out of office. This is 1843.

1838: Paris, France. Louis Daguerre took this photograph. It is officially the oldest photo ever found. At least one that could be made out. Historian’s say there were photographs in the 1820′s, but RARE. And if one is found the quality is HORRIBLE on one hand. And a MIRACLE of advance technology on the other. Many “fakes” are out there.
