Got an ask about joyofsatan. Small reminder that they're neo-nazi shits and are spamming pagan blogs

I generally try not to use baneful magic unless it's 1. Extremely justified, as in I have no other recourse, and 2. A desperate situation.
So, someone doing me dirty or hurting me or whatever--that's life, I'll deal with that in other ways.
Someone is actively hurting me or someone i love and there is no other way to make them stop, that's when you get out the curse/binding stuff.
I just don't understand the need for using that kind of Magic to get revenge or whatever. It feels unhealthy to fixate on someone that is no longer a part of your life and can't hurt you anymore just to feel that bit of satisfaction.

Aset, Lady of Heaven, outwit those that would enslave us, and strip us of our rights.
Sekhmet, Lady of Slaughter, destroy those who would destroy the people, who seek to establish isfet.
Amun, hidden one, shelter us; make unseen those who would remain unseen and safe;
Set, he who slays the serpent, let your rebellion be with the people; let your righteous fury thunder across the land.

Offerings to the Ancestors in Abydos (IV Peret 23)
As we approach the end of IV Peret into I Shomu, the final season of the year, there is another holiday dedicated to the Ancestors.
For this holiday, you might want to pull out some special food and drink offerings to your beloved dead, as well as to Wesir. The information on this holiday also lists invocation offerings, so verbal offerings would be appropriate as well. You may want to spend some time reminiscing or praying to your Ancestors.
Also consider visiting their graves, if it's an option. Depending on where your loved ones are buried, they may accept gifts being left by the graveside. Make sure you follow any rules regarding what can or cannot be left. Those rules may also vary by season, whether they are buried outdoors or in a mausoleum, etc. You may also want to dust or clean their headstone or where they are interred, as long as that is allowed.

Procession of Set, son of Nut

The Procession was really just from my bedroom door to the shrine, but it was a Procession nonetheless. And it's raining--how appropriate for the god of storms.

Major Kemetic festivals I want to celebrate & create a culture of celebration for (in my own practice)
Wep Ronpet (obvs)
Opet
Heru Welcomes the Nile
Festival of the Beautiful Reunion
Beautiful Festival of the Valley
Obviously there are other festivals I want to pay attention to, but it's more than just doing the rituals, right? I want my life to also show festivity in my life and *feel* it rather than just doing the ritual and forgetting it. I think a lot of what people have been saying about finding the gods in the land around you and getting out and really living the faith is important. And creating a culture of festivity could also contribute to that. It's not like we can do that for every Festival, but there are important touchstones.

Bishop's Knife Trick
Bishop’s Knife Trick
Back in 2018, when I was prepping for Year of Rites, I wrote on FB that I was “about 90% sure that TTR’s next chapter is gonna be Kemeticism without gods at the center.” And while I’m not entirely sure what I thought I had seen in that moment in terms of what O’s “big plan” was, I question if this was what he had in mind. I have probably written hundreds of versions of this post in my head. I’ve…

"Man perishes; his corpse turns to dust; all his relatives pass away. But writings make him remembered in the mouth of the reader. A book is more effective than a well-built house or a tomb-chapel in the West, better than an established villa or a stela in the temple!"

For Wesir
Dying, dying, dying.
You are always dying,
You are always being born.
You are the soil, the fertile ground from which the reeds spring up,
Wet beneath my fingers,
Like Nile mud.
I am thinking about transformation.
Seed to sprout to grain to wither to seed again.
I wonder if, perhaps:
I am dying, if I am being reborn
In every moment, I am breaking.
In every moment, I am made whole again.
