What are the 4 things we can do for the LGBTQIA+ community?
People who support LGBTQIA+ often ask themselves what can they do for the LGBTQ community and to be honest not everyone has the same views on supporting LGBTQIA+ community. We all are born in some or the other unique way on this earth but the question is why don’t we accept ourselves and others as one in this world. There are a number of things we as common people can do for the LGBTQ community. The name itself represents a lot about the community. Just to break down I would like to tell you about the full form of LGBTQIA+. ‘L’ Stands for lesbian, ‘G’ Stands for gay, ‘B’ stands for Bisexual, ‘T’ Stands for Transgender, ‘Q’ stands for Queer, ‘I’ stands for Intersex and ‘A’ stands for Asexual.
We as a society struggles to understand how we can help with the acceptance of LGBTQIA+ community. Through below points implementation we can actually help LGBTQ+ community find their place in the society.
1) Equality:
When we as society will make LGBTQIA+ community comfortable in their own skin and let them know that everyone is equal they will be able to behave just like other people which most of the times they don’t. Each and every person is born in a different way but all of us are equal and are meant to be treated as one irrespective of what or who they are.
2) Acceptance:
Acceptance not only comes by words but also from the heart, accepting the way they are is a very big step in order to make a bigger change in present and in future in this fast forwarded generation.
3) Respect:
Respect every person for who they are is very important and also helpful. Respecting each and every person for the way they are born and the choices they make will not only increase equality but also love.
4) Compassion:
Showing compassion to LGBTQIA+ community as a society.
We have come across a OTT platform EORTV. EORTV is India’s First LGBT focused OTT platform. They are working towards acceptance of these careworn communities which includes LGBT community as a large. They are wonderful shows which will bring knowledge and understanding of the community. https://www.eortv.com is the website of EORTV.

PANKHIRYA UDI UDI EORTV, India’s First LGBTQ focused platform released its fourth original titled Pankhriya Udi Udi, a rom-drama series on its platform. The series will have 8 episodes starring Kavita Banerjee and Snower Sania as leads opposite each other. The series aims to normalize same-sex relationships and adopts a raw visual approach to convey the true romantic love of two women. The series is Directed by Deepak Pandey and produced by Dreamzz Images Studio.
The story revolves around the journey of these two leading ladies and how they fight for what life throws at them. When the playful and jaunty Arya played by Snower Sania is discovered with a fatal disease, she wants her girlfriend Pankhi played by Kavita Banerjee to find a new partner.
Deepak Pandey, Director of the series said, “Ours is a platform which believes in equality and inclusion. Pankhirya Udi Udi is a beautiful story with our ethos at the heart of it. The story is all about highlighting five key aspects of life, hope, love, sacrifice, value of emotions and meaning of life. My vision is to inspire the audience with the series and to bring out the positive side of life instead of focusing on the dark. I’m very hopeful that my viewers will connect with the series and lead life towards happiness, support each other and usher in gender equality. Pankhirya stands out differently because it inspires viewers in finding that silver lining in the darkest of clouds”.
Speaking about the show, lead actor Snower Sania stated, “I deeply resonated with the power and message of the script. It is infused with so many facets of emotions; insecurities delivered with a refreshingly uplifting perspective. The narrative is constantly evolving; awakening; simmering our thought process all culminating in a final transformation. This has all been possible through the intriguing vision of Deepak sir who has tastefully planted so many hidden gems throughout the season with well-crafted plot twists & a hint of focused motive to keep “love and purity “as the essence & not the mundane “lesbian romance façade. The audience will experience a roller coaster of emotions; ups and downs; but also, a level of satisfaction in the way the story unfolds”.
Lead actor Kavita Banerjee added, “This is a poignant portrayal of a beautiful love story, and as a performer, it has truly tested my imagination and challenged my skills. I found the treatment of the narrative very genuine that anybody and everybody in love or has ever been in love will relate to, the focus being on a ‘love story’ rather than a ‘lesbian love story’ – it is about time we move beyond cliches. The moment we speak of any story involving a same-sex relationship, it ends up either objectifying the characters or an over-the-top charade sort of a portrayal. Thankfully, Deepak sir’s vision of the story is a much-needed fresh take! “

Pride is something we should proudly celebrate and this is one of the reasons the lalit decided to celebrate pride with full celebration and joy. Pride celebration at the lalit was a memorable moment and forever to be remembered. It started with a sweet gesture as we were welcomed with shell garlands and a kokum shot. They all made us feel super welcomed. We were very nicely welcomed by the lalit. We were headed for lunch and filled our stomach with different cuisines and mind boggling dessert. We then headed towards the hall where the event started with lighting the candles by the manager of the lalit and a few employees. There was a awarding ceremony where the staff of the lalit were given various types of awards and a few titles. After the award ceremony was done the lalit song was played and we were asked to dance on the song’s moves. After the dance moves were done the pride celebration started with a Goan dance moves performed by few of the lalit’s staff team. All the members of the community were called to cake a pride coloured cake along with the Eortv team.
A beautiful classical dance performance was presented by Gautam. Beautiful dance moves. The event was further carried on with Eortv screening where the managing director Falguni shah said a few words about Eortv and then the glimpses of trailers were presented for people to watch. The founder and CEO of the goa rainbow trust shared their journey and struggles to build their NGO all these years. There was a amazing performance by a soothing singer asher who sang a song followed by a banger dance by Rishabh and smirti who are also a part of the LGBTQ community .
There was another dance performance by gautam himself along with Ronak and followed by ronak’s solo dance which people totally loved! Sumit pawar shared his experience and his journey on his trust that he has been running. A few people shared their experience regarding the even. The event was almost about to end but the lalit’s staff and everyone in the hall was called to teach and learn some dance moves along with the staff dancing on various moves they like. Bigender pride -
Bigender is a gender identity in which a person has or experiences two genders. The genders may be any combination of two genders, and those genders can be binary ("man" or "woman") or non-binary. They may be experienced simultaneously or may alternate, and they may not be experienced equally or in the same way. For example, a bigender person may be both a woman and a man, agender and neutrois, or non-binary and a woman.[1] Bigender is an identity under the transgender umbrella.
Early examples of the term 'bigender' appear as early as the late 1980s,[3] though at this time it was grouped under the "androgyne" label as "bigenderist". Definitions were rooted in the expression of "either gender role" or as "having two genders".
The most known bigender flag was created by Tumblr user no-bucks-for-this-doe. The flag consists of two different pink stripes, a deep pink followed by the traditional depiction of pink. From there, a lilac stripe, a white stripe, and another lilac stripe. The last two stripes are baby blue followed by a deep blue. The exact meanings of each color were not specified when coined, though some assumptions have been made. One theory is that the pink stripes represent femininity, blue represents masculinity, purple represents a combination of male and female or androgyny, and the center white stripe represents non-binary.

GENDER FLUID PRIDE
Tumblr media
Genderfluid or simply fluid, refers to someone whose gender identity changes over time. A genderfluid individual can identify as any gender, or combination of genders, at any given time. Their gender can change at random, or it may vary in response to different circumstances. At times, these individuals may identify as male, female, both, or neither. Their pronouns may vary at different times. The term genderfluid can be used as a specific identity in itself or as a descriptive term. They are generally considered under the non-binary and transgender umbrellas, but not all genderfluid individuals identify with those terms. Some genderfluid people transition socially, physically, and/or legally.
The word "genderfluid" has been in use since at least the 1990s, although with a different meaning. The earliest known definition appears in Kate Bornstein's book Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women and the Rest of Us, which defines genderfluidity as the "ability to freely and knowingly become one of many of a limitless number of genders, for any length of time, at any rate of change. Gender fluidity recognizes no borders or rules of gender."
Created by. JJ Poole in 2012, the Gender Fluid flag consists of. five stripes, representing the fluctuations and flexibility of gender in gender fluid people. The first stripe is pink, which represents femininity or feeling female. The second stripe is white, representing the lack of gender.

AGENDER PRIDE -
Agender is a term which can be literally translated as without gender. It can be seen either as a non-binary gender identity or as a statement of not having a gender identity.
Many agender people also identify as genderqueer, non-binary and/or transgender. However, some agender people prefer to avoid these terms, especially transgender, as they feel this implies identifying as a gender other than their assigned gender, while they in fact do not identify as any gender at all. In fact, the term agender is considered an oxymoron among many. Since it is a lack of gender, some feel that it should not be labeled as a gender at all. Others see the label agender as a declaration that they are whole without a gender.
The agender pride flag, created by Salem X in 2014, has seven horizontal stripes. The black and white stripes represent an absence of gender, the gray represents semi-genderlessness, and the central green stripe represents nonbinary genders.

MTF PRIDE -
A term for a transgender individual who currently identifies as a woman (see also “MTF”).
MTF: A person who transitions from "male-to-female," meaning a person who was assigned male at birth, but identifies and lives as a female. Also known as a “transgender woman.” Sex Reassignment Surgery: Surgical procedures that change one's body to better reflect a person's gender identity.
Trans women have a female gender identity, may experience gender dysphoria, and may transition; this process commonly includes hormone replacement therapy and sometimes sex reassignment surgery, which can bring relief and resolve feelings of gender dysphoria. Trans women may be heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, asexual, or identify with other terms (such as queer).
The Transgender Pride Flag was created by American trans woman Monica Helms in 1999, and was first shown at a pride parade in Phoenix, Arizona, United States in 2000. The flag represents the transgender community and consists of five horizontal stripes: two light blue, two pink, and one white in the center.

Polyamory pride -
A polyamorous relationship is one in which one or more of the participants are involved romantically or sexually with more than one individual at a time . Each person involved in the relationship consents to the situation and is aware of the non monogamous nature . ‘Poly’ comes from the Greek word meaning ‘many’ and ‘armory’ comes from the Latin word meaning’love’ . The combination of Greek and Latin roots , which is against traditional language rules, emphasis how polyamory relationships go against typical romantic and sexual norms. The original polyamorous flag was designed by Jim evans in 1995.
The blue stripe stands for openness and honesty among all partners, and the red strip stands for love and passion. The black stripe represents solidarity with those who must hide their polyamorous relationships from the outside world .

Asexual refers to people who do not experience sexual attraction toward others. They may experience other forms of attraction, such as romantic, sensual, or aesthetic attraction. Asexuality is a sexual orientation, not a gender identity, behavior, or medical condition. Some asexual people choose to engage in sexual activities for various reasons despite not experiencing sexual feelings and desire toward any particular person.

It was initially used to describe biological organisms that had no sex organs. Its use as a label was popularized by Alfred Kinsey in his Heterosexual-Homosexual Rating Scale with X being used to denote people who did not engage in sexual behaviors.
