thinking about that quote: “love is not an emotion, love is a promise” and at how it perfectly suits damie.

The first promise was made when Jamie did the moonflower’s monologue and said that some people are worth the effort and the pain you invest in them and by “some people” she clearly meant Dani. That was the first moment Jamie opened her heart to Dani.

The second promise was made when Jamie offered to stay by Dani’s side to keep her company in her “jungle”. Jamie doesn’t abandon Dani, even though Dani is not just Dani anymore, but also the lady of the lake.

The third promise was when Jamie confessed her love to Dani with the moonflower in their shop.

The fourth promise was when Dani brought that plant home and asked Jamie to marry her with a ring because she wanted to spend the rest of the days she has left with Jamie.

The last promise was when Dani decided to protect Jamie and save her life by becoming the next lady of the lake. That was a true act of love and selflessness.

Even though they lived day by day with an uncertain future, in all the time Jamie and Dani were together they kept renewing and maintaining that promise, the promise of love.
