A fae forms a genuine bond of friendship with a human. As a prank another fae decides to kill their friend. Their ruler decides the murder did not violate any fae laws and issues no punishment, so the first fae dedicates their life to getting revenge by teaching humans all the rules of the fae.

hate the fact that "kill yourself" is the hip, cool way to tell someone to fuck off. hate that people took the concept of telling another human being to end their own life and abbreviated it down to kys so they don't have to grapple with the horror of what they're actually saying
let's go back to ridiculous and harmless phrases that observers can maybe get a sensible chuckle out of instead
make like a tree and leaf
make like the wind and blow
put an egg in your shoe and beat it
treat your mouth like a door and shut it

James refuses to pay for spotify premium, so he uses regulus’ account. One day, reggie shuffles his liked songs and it goes from Rachmaninoff’s Trio Élégiaque No. 1 to Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani.
It is this incident that made regulus pay for James to get his own account

Romanticizing reading fanfiction with 100 hits. Romanticizing commenting on fics from seven years ago. Romanticizing giving kudos to a fic with three hits. Romanticizing reblogging someone’s fanfiction post from two years ago, giving them the first note on that post. Romanticizing saying in the comments “I hope there’s a chapter two, this was so good!” On a fic posted in 2013

Things I love about writing: forcing my trauma and irrational thoughts on my characters, the fact that it’s free therapy, the fact that I can tell writers or readers that I’m playing out my story in my head and not be called lazy, the community, the idea of getting published one day.
Things I dislike about writing: writing- why doesn’t everything in my head automatically transfer over. And the process of getting traditionally published.

thinking about the expression, "you can't see the forest for the trees" and how the writing version is probably "you can't see the story for the edits" - or whatever other small detail it is that we can sometimes get caught up in
so this is just a reminder for anyone who's stuck on a single paragraph or can't get past that one word: what's the story that you're telling? the story is way more important than any individual word or phrase
