Not very beneficial
i've never had to come out as a mutant, because my power shows all the time. it kinda sucks, because i get a lot of hate for being "disgusting" and "repulsive", when it's not my fault that i have to eat like a fly as well as everything else.
people don't approve of you vomiting acid onto your plate before you eat anything.
luckily i'm staying in xavier academy these days, because i think that if i were anywhere else, people would still be discriminating towards me for the most part.
still, i'm proud of my mutation. and i can fly. suck it.

Strange approval method...
My dad wasn't very happy when I finally told him that I was a mutant... At first. He was curious, naturally, and he didn't understand how I could possibly be a mutant. Come on.
However, his mood towards it soon changed to pride when I showed him that I could control all the electricity in our house. Now I'm shown off amongst the friends of my parents for being able to do "that cool thing with the lights".

Still proud.
I never came out as a mutant intentionally. In fact, quite the opposite - I wasn't even aware of my powers for half my life.
As a teenager, I went to a house party, and well... Things went a little wrong. A fight broke out, and then a fire started amongst all the mayhem. Something inside of me snapped, and when I freaked out...
I changed sexes. Yeah, not the most effective power in a fight.
But, I tell ya what, it distracted everyone.
Nowadays I think it's a pretty awesome power, and at the advice of a friend, I'm using the codename Hermaphrodito.
Yeah. It's pretty awesome.
