Hi there! Welcome to my website about my learning expierience throughout my English 101 course at Rio Hondo college in Whittier California. Before I get into that I would like to introduce myself, my name is Ashley P.Navarro. I am 18 years old. I am currently enrolled in my first year of college, i started in fall of 2016 right after high school. I graduated at Arroyo High School in El Monte. I am now majoring in Early Childhood Education. My dream is to become an elemntary teacher. I love working with younger kids. i had expirience with ounger kids when I would volunteer at my local boys and girls club to be a eachers assistant.This experience had shown me that i would enjoy becoming an actual teacher. Now, welcome to my english 101 expirience.

Reflection SLO2
This particular student learning outcome has made a positive impact on me overall and my education career.
The artifact I chose to discuss about is my argument essay. Which was an assignment given by my professor on a short story by Neil Simon named, "The Odd Couple." We had to choose between the fact of if it was beneficial for the two friend to end the way it did to not.
My challenges throughout this paper was myself not having a lot of back up to use. Meaning enough facts from he story that supported my option. I thought it was beneficial for the two to end the way it did.
The artifact I chose is an example of my accomplishment of the skills from the SLO because it is a skill that I have too use in the rest of my college papers in the future.

Reflection -
The student learning out come to me is a process that show ad have students think back to what they really got out of their assignment. The rules and skills they had learned from the assignment they were assigned. The different types of skills we were introduced to will stick throughout my education career. English 101 had taught me a lot of skills that I able to use in my education career in the future.
The artifact I chose is my rhetorical analysis essay that was assigned to me. The assignment was too watch a TED talk named, “ Why we all need to practice emotional first aid” by Guy Winch. The class was assigned to watch, read and annotate this particular TED talk. Soon we were assigned to do an essay on how Guy Winch persuades the audience to practice emotional first aid. In the essay I have displayed shows me talking about how Guy Winch uses logos and ethos to get the audiences attention.
The assignment first started off to be difficult for myself because I had no clue what ethos pathos and logos were.I soon learned the differences and similarities they all have in common. The Powerpoint Professor Olivas had shown explained it very well and cleared up all the questions I had. I had overcame my struggles through this paper. My success while doing and finishing this paper was; understanding the terms and know how to use them as well. Another accomplishment was my final grade on the paper.
The artifact I chose is an example of the SLO because I provided evidence within my essay of how the author Guy Winch used ethos and logos.
