Basil at the door, windows, or scattered in the home will increase money.

🌊 Types of Mermaids 🌊

please be respectful of cultural boundaries when working with mermaids from various cultures and traditions, and be mindful not to intrude.

🌊 Rusalkas - slavic in origin, disturbed spirits of the “unclean dead”, ghosts of women who died violent deaths, with a penchant for drowning young men. they live only in rivers and lakes, and are known to have green hair like aquatic plants, only appearing in the night. 

🌊 Melusina - a mermaid that walks among humans, but returns to their two-tailed form during baths and when they bathe their children. often a water spirit of a nearby lake or river. french origin. 

🌊 Siren - greek mythology. servants and companions of persephone, whom searched for her when she was abducted. they are known to sometimes have the body of a bird, and for their song, which lured sailors to their doom. cannibalism implied folklore. have the power of prophecy. 

🌊 Merrow - irish mermaid. known to have green hair and webbed fingers. particular noted love of music and their red cap, which when stolen, they will live with the thief until they find it, and then return to the water, leaving even a whole family behind. 

🌊 Ben-varrey - from the isle of man, known to bless those that are kind to them with prosperity, gifts, and even the location of treasure. 

🌊 Aicaya -  Caribbean mermaid, humans who become mermaids when they are shunned from their community and go to live in the sea. 

🌊 Amabie - japanese merpeople, with birdlike torsos and three legs and scales. they are gifted with prophecy, usually foretelling abundant harvests or epidemics 

🌊 Ningyo - “human faced fish” known to have golden scales, that brings bad weather and misfortune when caught, but when their flesh is eaten the consumer is granted youth and beauty, even agelessness. 

🌊 Finman / Finwife - magical shapeshifters that disguise themselves as sea creatures or plants to lure humans, unlike most mermaids they kidnap people from the shores to be their spouses or servants. they have a greed for jewelry and coins, particularly silver, and prefer humans over other finfolk. 

🌊 Sirena Chilota - considered the more friendly mermaids, caring for all fish life and rescuing drowned sailors to restore life to them. known for their human-like beauty and youth, according to legend they are the child of a human and a “king of seas”, tears are a powerful substance. from chilote mythology. 

🌊 Cecealia - sometimes known as��“sea witches”, they are half human and half octopus. origins in native american and japanese mythology. 

🌊 Sirena / Siyokoy - the philippine version of mermaid and merman respectively. also called “magindara”, they are known to protect the waters from raiders, and protect the boy moon from sea monsters. Siyokoys can sometimes have legs however, covered with scales and webbed feet

🌊 Sea Mither - scottish/orcadian mythology, a spirit that personifies the sea during spring and summer, battles along scottish isles using storms to bring the summer about. a mother figure to all aquatic life. 

🌊 Ceasg - a fresh-water mermaid, specifically half-salmon, said to grant three wishes if captured. sometimes called maighdean na tuinne (maid of the wave) or maighdean mhara (maid of the sea). scottish. 

🌊 Selkie - though somewhat different from the typical mermaid, as they are not cold-blooded, have the body of a seal in the water and are human on land. in legends their skins are often stolen and they are kept by fishermen as spouses, or become lovers to fishermen’s wives who shed tears into the sea.

We already know water is a good offering, but honestly, a lot of the lists leave out a bunch of water types. I would know I looked at as many as I could find on here and on other sources. Moon Salt

Ingredients:

Salt

Amethyst

Lavender

(Optional) Moon water

Directions:

Pour the salt in a small bowl or container.

Place in the lavender and amethyst, and slowly mix them into the salt.

Charge the salt under the full moon.

(Optional) Sprinkle the moon water over the finished salt.

Done!

Herb series: Dandelion

Planetary Association: Jupiter Astrological Association: Sagittarius and Pisces Elemental Energy: Air Key Associations: Psychic ability, opening up the sight, calling spirits, connecting to higher dimensions. Safety: Edible, however in very very large doses can be damaging to the body due to the presence of oxalates. However, in order to suffer from poisoning from dandelion you would need to consume a huge amount of leaves and stems daily. Consume dandelion in moderate amounts, no need to become a Dandelion addict mmkay? Dandelions have a long history of being eaten, and they are used in salads, jellies, teas and wine. If you are allergic to latex please be careful with this herb, as the stems contain latex. Planetary affects: Jupiter lends an expansive energy to dandelion, allowing the mind to open up to receiving messages from spirits. When using dandelion with the intention of increasing psychic ability, Jupiter in conjunction with the element of air allows for energy to carry from the lower chakras and up through the air element into spiritual dimensions. In this way we are able to extend our primal emotions from the body and out through the auras to be released, bringing spell work, messages from the guides, intentions and wishes to fruition. This is the same reason we often wish upon a dandelion.  Astrological affects: Sagittarius lends Dandelion a curious and truth seeking nature which helps to increase it’s connection to psychic ability. Due to it’s status as a weed, growing low to the ground and it’s ability to grow in poor rocky soils, the dandelion was believed by some to belong to Chthonic deities and has been associated with necromancy and communicating with the dead because of it’s underworld connections. Many believe this herb is ruled over by Hecate. Dandelion harvesting and uses: Harvest dandelion flowers, leaves and roots in the morning sun when Jupiter is in the sky above. Added benefits arise from the harvest if Jupiter is passing through Sagittarius or Pisces.  Hang the harvested plants to dry until the flowers have shrunk and the leaves have become crunchy. Store in a jar in a cool spot until ready to use. Be careful where you harvest from, as roadside dandelions may have taken on some carbon monoxide.

Magical uses: Drink as a tea for psychic visions, or use the dried root as a poppet for healing or curse workings. Use in a clarity oil to help sharpen the mind and increase perception of visions and messages. Weave into wreaths to celebrate the coming of spring, or give as offerings. Can be used to dress the feet or hands of deity statues in order to connect to their energy. Leaves can be eaten in a salad, and the tea can aid in cleansing the liver and blood as a medicinal tonic.

Psychic tea - Dig up the roots and wash off any soil. Chop and roast the roots in the oven at 180 degrees celcius until they turn milky brown in colour.  - Place in a tea diffuser and allow the tea to diffuse. - Add milk and sugar as required. Drink at least 10-15 minutes before a reading, scrying, or meditation session for increased psychic connections. Clarity oil - Add the petals of a dandelion to olive oil with some lavender flowers and rosemary leaves. Leave in the light of mercury for a boost of communication energy. For extra oomph make this oil blend on a base of Mercury oil. Anoint the third eye for increased ability to perceive visions and communicate with your guides. Dandelion paste - Grind Dandelion petals with sandalwood or chandan powder and mix with a little water to make a thick paste. Dress the hands and feet of deity statues with the mixture to honor them and to connect to their energies. This paste can also be smeared on bones and other curios to connect to the ancestors or animal guides. Feed the paste to bones as an offering- the orange/red brown color imitates the flesh and blood of an animal thus connecting spirit guides to bones and allowing them to inhabit the space within. Dandelion Salve- For achy muscles and painful joints - Cover dandelion flowers in olive oil and allow to infuse in a jar for 4-6 weeks. - Drain the flowers from the oil and set aside. - Over a low heat melt beeswax inside a heatproof bowl which is sitting in a pan of water (Like how you would melt chocolate without burning it.) - Mix the beeswax and oil together and allow the mixture to set inside your chosen container. - Once the mixture has set apply to sore muscles and joints for some homemade pain relief!

☀️🌿Litha Lavender Thyme Chicken🌿☀️

Hello my greenies! I have here a recipe to celebrate Litha! I am recovering from the removal of all four of my wisdom teeth and am unable to feast accordingly. I hope everyone can celebrate and eat for me, so I have here a favorite chicken recipe that I have especially during Litha and many times during the summer.

I will put the corresponding meanings of all the ingredients for the recipe at the end of the post and hope everyone enjoys my recipe. I hope to be posting more soon!

***You can use these ingredients for a whole chicken, but the amount for the coating will need to be adjusted and so will the cooking time. There are many websites that can tell you how to prepare a whole chicken, if that is also what you are looking for.

Ingredients

3 or 4 chicken breasts (I use 3, but I think the recipe would work with four as well.)

2 tbsp of dried lavender

2 tbsp of dried thyme or 4 sprigs of fresh and pulled off the stem.

drizzle of olive oil or coconut oil

1 tbsp of garlic powder

1 and ½ tbsp of onion powder

3 tbsp of honey

1 whole lemon.

dash of salt and pepper

dash of oregano

Directions

If lavender is not crushed, crush until powdery. Then in a small bowl, mix lavender, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder.

In a separate bowl, place the three chicken breasts and add the salt and pepper. Mix well and after drizzle the oil, honey, and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.

Place in the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Make sure all parts of the chicken are covered.

Cover the bowl and let the chicken sit for three hours in the refrigerator.

Once complete, stir the chicken in the bowl again and then place the chicken into a roasting pan and sprinkle oregano on the tops.

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for 45 minutes, make sure you flip after 23 minutes. When done, take the chicken out and let it sit for about 5 minutes before you eat. While it sits begin the chant.

While speaking these words allow yourself to hold in the heat inside you. Let it move around through your system and on your skin. Rise that heat up into your neck and float around your head. Then have it come out of you, so now you only feel a slight glow. Have this warmth embrace your house and everything in it until that happiness is surrounding you.

Then enjoy your meal!

*I always find that this meal goes well with some honey garlic potatoes, thyme roasted carrots, Zucchini casserole, and fresh baked flaky biscuits.
