We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.

My tip: Before putting it in the oven you could sprinkle some blanched almonds or desiccated coconut over the top to give the brownies a bit of a crunch!
1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius/170 degrees celsius fan/Gas 5. Grease a 30cm x 20cm brownie tin and line it with baking parchment.
2. Put the chocolate, milk, butter, honey and vanilla extract into a saucepan. Warm over a low heat on the hob, stirring regularly so that it doesn’t stick to the pan, until everything has melted and you have got a glossy, smooth mixture. Remove from the heat and stir in the cacao powder.
3. Allow the mixture to cool whilst you whisk the eggs up with a fork. Then, whisk the eggs into your chocolate mixture. Finally, add the flours and baking powder. It might look a bit lumpy but continue to mix it together.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes in the tin. Cut into squares and transfer onto a cooling rack.
Makes about 15 to 30 squares
125g dark chocolate
100ml of milk (you can use any substitutes eg. almond milk
100g butter, plus extra for greasing your tin
200g honey
1 ¼ tsp vanilla extract
50g cacao powder
3 free-range eggs
75g buckwheat flour
75g whole-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
