a new beginning.

i’ve rewritten this post countless times and every single time it has felt wrong. i feel as though i’m doing you all an injustice by being unable to formulate the right way to say all of this, but i will do my best. 

first and foremost, i don’t know if i’ll ever be able to put into words how genuinely, overwhelmingly, astronomically grateful and honored i am to be given such an enormous and loving platform for my writing. the past 4 years have given me immeasurable support and cultivated an intense love for writing i know i will never give up. and i owe it all to you for being the reason i kept going beyond that very first fic. i will never, literally never, be able to repay you for all of the love and support you’ve given me. thank you for reading my work. thank you for sending me messages. thank you for leaving me reviews. thank you for every single kind word, every single note, every follow, you have ever given me.

4 years is a long time to do one thing. i’ve been using tumblr and writing fanfiction even longer than that (since 2013). to watch this blog grow over the past 4 years has been a blessing. to have you all here with me, even more so. but it’s time for something different.

this blog will enter a permanent semi-hiatus mode.

what that means is that i am not closing the door completely, i am not deleting this blog, and i am not deleting my writing. i am simply going to be extremely inactive, to the point where i may not return to post on this blog for months on end. what that also means is that if i do write another fic, i am leaving open the option for me to post it here for you all. this permanent semi-hiatus is for me to take time to focus on my life and my growth without tumblr being at the forefront of my thoughts. it is also for me to experiment with other avenues of writing. 

in the interim, this blog will turn into something of an archive. nothing is going to be deleted, but very little will be added. that being said, just because i am not posting, doesn’t mean i’m not watching. so please, don’t repost my work anywhere, whether it be on tumblr or another platform. i’ll find you. on the flip side, that also means that if you leave me a message, a review, a comment, i will read it! i may even respond, although it might be a very delayed answer. it is also worth noting that there is just as strong a possibility of me never returning, so please respect that if that is the case.

where else can you find me? my ao3! i do really want to work more on 3rd person/mxm fics so if that interests you, please come say hello to me there. again, my fics will be very infrequent, but i’ll be active there, too! 

the truth is that, after 4 years, i’ve finally run out of steam. running this blog has started to become a chore rather than a joy, despite how much love i have for fic, for writing, and for you all. so i hope you’ll understand my decision.
