✘ Towering over her, the familiar sound of a voice she had never truly forgotten.  Head upturned to the abnormally tall male who had halved his height by taking a seat next to her.  Her dripping clothes, her wet hair, and lack of money was a sight for sore eyes...and not exactly in the good way...
Looking down she stared at the piping hot cup of tea that had been placed in front of her.  That was, it? A cup of hot tea. Placed infront of her with a question posed to her.
Hey Togame. Want some tea?
Tumblr media
Was that all he had to say? She had been dead! Or was, dead...or...well something like that, she didnt quite know how to explain it.  She had died and now she was revived but in this unique city. Her teeth gritted and her brows furrowed into irritation. Fists balled as she glowered up at Shichika. -
`` I was dead, and all you have to say is, "do you want some tea?" That's what I get for trusting you to take care of yourself! Or maybe it was that horrible woman filling your head with false information. Why would you trust anything she says!``
- As she continued to rant she stood, pointing her finger at the taller man, and once she finished, she crossed her arms over her chest in her normal haughty fashion.  After which she would sit back in her chair, grasp the hot tea cup and press it to her lips, taking a large gulp, only to find it was EXTREMELY hot, where she would yelp and drop the cup. Hands moving to her lips and tongue with tears in her eyes. -
``Why didnt you tell me it was hot!?``
Living Sword{OPEN}
Even though Shichika was bereft of his unparalleled strength and most of his speed, he was alright with this existence. There was not a single hassle to be had. He did as he pleased and simply lived day to day. If only the person he had fallen in love with had joined him. It was a selfish wish obviously. After what he had experienced, Shichika was rather indifferent to his current circumstances. It didn’t make much difference where he was. Life would always generally be the same.
The exception was the abundance of technology, but he soon got used to that as well. Televisions, cars, phones, the list went on and on. The thick-headed novel protagonist had actually gone out of his way to educate himself a bit. That being said, he was still adverse to doing anything that was too much of a hassle.
But his solitude and silence would soon be disturbed by a small and fragile being sitting behind him. It would have actually disturbed him if he bothered to notice that is. While he may have been more active in bettering himself, he still had the self awareness of a coma patient. It wasn’t until he actually got up and took a look behind him that he noticed her. It was Togame. Several thoughts ran through his mind, but none were of extreme elation by any means. Relief was a much better word. He was relieved to see her alive.
Tumblr media
"Hey Togame. Want some tea?" Shichika asked rather politely and placed the half empty cup of tea, still steaming away in the cold, in front of Togame. Taking a seat by the tiny strategist, he smiled as if nothing had happened or changed. Perhaps that was just his stupidity truly showing through. It was. He was actually that absent minded and stupid.

The Helper
The Helper:How would your character cope with sudden laser-guided amnesia?
Tumblr media
She would likely welcome it.  On her death bed, Togame admits that she uses everything she possibly can to rule Japan and avenge her father. This includes herself and her own emotions. In her own words, Shichika, and her feelings for him are all “tools that she’s used to further her goals.” But still, Shichika is an important person to her, and in the end, around him, she could feel more like a living breathing girl instead of a cold strategist.
With amnesia she could simply forget what she did and how she felt.  Forget her goals that were only fueled by vengeance and instead of having to worry about how she could get to the end of her journey, she could have enjoyed her life with Shichika, loved him without any sort of restraint.

The Achiever
The Achiever:Does your character believe that "the ends justify the means"?
Tumblr media
Absolutely.  Ambition is the predominant trait surrounding Togame.  It is spoken of in the very first episode and sets up the basis for Togame’s character. Togame will go to the ends of the earth to accomplish gathering the deviant blades. In the first episode, she tells Shichika to fall in love with her in order to fulfill her goals which… is pretty shameless and self deprecating. It gets even worse when you find out later that Togame is the lost princess of a rule that fell and that her grand goal is to take over all of Japan and avenge her father who was slain at the hands of Shichika’s father. We find out much later on that Togame is willing to do pretty much anything to accomplish her goals, even using and sacrificing other people for her means without thinking much of it.

Directionally Challenged (@murderousmorality)
✘ Trying to wrap her head around where they were, Togame had ventured out to try and collect any information she could.  What she found, was her way to a new district, different from the district gamma in which she had been staying.  District Gamma was located in that pit of Sector 003.  The ghetto.  Did they have any idea just who she was....probably not, and thus she was living in such horrible conditions not suited for a lady of her usually extravagant tastes.  Now district beta was within the industrial sector of 002. The atmosphere was at bit different, at least it wasnt as...well, ghetto.
Still, there was a bit of mystery and intrigue surrounding this place. It was so different from her normal, simpleton means.  This was mass production, keeping a city running. This was creating items in bulk so that they could be distributed, it was economics, and for the most part Togame wasnt interested in it.
Taking note of other noticeable things, besides factories, mass production...things -- she noted the pollution, the lack of people on the streets, the signs that were confusing, warnings;  and while many might have gawked at it, Togame passed over them.  If Shichika had been accompanying her, she would have been subjected to a slew of questions regarding “what was this” and "what was that".  There were some things it was just too annoying to answer; that was one of them. Shichika should know better by now…he probably did.  Togame had to give him credit for learning her tics…all with her guidance of course. She was an expert on herself after all.
The fondness of recalling her companion made her halt in her stride, looking up at the lonely signs and frowning now.  It hit her again just how alone she was, it was an empty feeling.  This feeling was worse than death, it was as cold as she had tried to make her heart in the end, only to consumed her whole body.
Tumblr media
A shake of her head as she tried to get back on track. Where was she, and where could she go?

✘ While the strategist may have been lavishly dressed in some manner of old style attire, she never revealed to anyone her true identity.   Princess Yosha Hida. To everyone she was known only as Togame, the self titled strategist of the Shogunate... Thats right, self titled. Much like this exterminator who was working with such gusto, Togame was also the same at one point, before she died.
Even so, the green haired girls accusation of attracting Togame's attention was correct, though it was for all the wrong reasons.  In a way it reminded her of Shichika, that blind to common sense thing. Folding her arms over her chest she would close her eyes, waiting for the girl to stop spewing off her sales pitch before she would respond with her own proposal. -
`` Unfortunately for you, I do not have a demon problem, however I do have a funds problem.  But I have a scheme that might be able to help both of us out. ``
Tumblr media
- A pause to gauge the woman's reaction, and Togame already had a rebuttal for all of her concerns. If she was worried about Togame lying, she shouldnt be.  Togame was an honest woman in terms of money. They only person who she ever deceived to the point of harm was herself...and maybe Shichika.  Still she continued. -
`` Forgive my rudeness, I am Togame, Self titled Strategist of the Shogunate.``
Exterminator for Hire ~ (Open/Intro)
And here, her first customer decided to pop up— just as she had predicted one would! … Or, at least, she hoped this girl would end up becoming her customer.
"Hey now! You can’t be restricted by common sense like that!" Sanae boasted— standing tall where she was, looking down at Togame with a friendly grin. “Surely someone standing up over the others and talking loudly is bound to attract some attention, right? After all…!”
Leaping down and landing gracefully before the woman before her, Sanae’s hands quickly moved to her hips as she stood up, the smile etched onto her face now more determined than before.
"I was able to attract your attention, Miss! Wasn’t I?"
She took pride in this, evidently enough, but it wasn’t enough to go to her head. Upon closer examination… this girl, definitely Japanese, wore an interesting set of clothes that seemed quasi-traditional. It was rather extravagant— she nearly looked like a cosplayer. Had Sanae not been used to seeing strange clothing during her adventures in Gensokyo, maybe she would have questioned Togame’s choice of attire. Regardless of her style, though, she was rather pretty.
… There were better things to think about at the moment, however.
"Do you have any inquiries, then? I mean, if you weren’t curious, surely you would have just walked off by now! So please, tell me!"
Tumblr media
"What can I do to help you, Ma’am? Be it a crisis in faith, afflicted by supernatural entities, or anything else, I’ll do my best!"

✘  It was raining, and she had to run through the streets, umbrellaless, and in her platform shoes.  A frown was etched on her face as she jogged through the streets, avoiding puddles as to keep her feet from becoming wet....the rain didnt help that.  She was drenched, chilled to the bone.  Her extravagant attire clung to her petite frame and her white hair stuck to her face as she always tried to brush the strands away.
She had no money, then again when you die there isnt an exact need for money.  How she was brought back here was a mystery - but that wasnt the point.  She needed money now because she was cold and wet, so she needed new clothing..and she was hungry...because that was something you needed to survive.  Slowing her jog to a walk she heard her stomach growl, and it would earn a puff of her cheeks.
A sigh as she doubled over, placing her hands on her knees and breathing hard...this was too much running.  Usually she was carried or something. Looking up she noticed the teashop...but why would she go inside with no money to pay.  Standing she would groan some reminded yet again of the hardships of traveling alone.
Tumblr media
She turned her back tot he tea ship, annoyed. Arms crossed as she shivered in the cold.  I have to think of something.  Little did she realize the person sitting behind her as she acted out her dilemmas like a crazy person. -
Living Sword{OPEN}
The air was stagnant and cold, the people not much different. Being in a completely new world didn’t phase the sword whatsoever. In fact, he embraced his situation rather quickly. One thing that he did require however, was tea. Something to warm up his body as he walked around aimlessly. While he had knowledge of his swordsmanship, his body was considerably weakened. Even so, he could break an arm or two in his current state, not that he wanted to. After a considerable amount of walking, he came across a place to secure his hot beverage of choice.
He held his tea in one hand as he situated himself on a bench, staring out into the empty streets. Everyone seemed to pass by and look the the other way, but Shichika paid no attention to it.. He wasn’t the easiest kind of person to approach. Was it the red clothing, multitude of scars, or that he was over six feet tall? Nothing was exactly how Shichika imagined his life to be. Together with Togame? She was dead. Traveling? He had no desire without a reason. Life was only as interesting as his new home could make it.
Tumblr media
"What a hassle…." Shichika spoke watching the rain fall in front of him. His feet were wet, perhaps he should invest in some sneakers? In any case, the swordless swordsman was vulnerable to any conversation. He obviously had no intention of getting up from his bench, especially while he still had hot tea.

✘ The streets were dirty, and shops had nearly nothing to shop that was worthwhile. Crowds bustled by not making eye contact with anyone or anything. The white haired strategist, was alone and confused, but was already deducing a plan..or well trying to, come up with an exit strategy.  It proved to be a near impossible feat because of the constant noise from someone...or some thing.
Tumblr media
Magenta eyes quickly glanced in the direction of the...unique display.  A green haired girl was shouting, posing and generally trying to attract the attention of passerby's.  What would a certain companion of hers say about that? What a hassle...? And a hassle it was, it disrupted her thinking; honestly, it disrupted everyone.  Still, she wondered what the green haired girl wanted, and would venture over to where she was gathering a small pool of people...and by small there were maybe 3 of them standing there.  What a bang up job.
Are you having demon or youkai troubles? If so, please, allow me to take care of them for you! As a youkai exterminator, I’ll get the job done with gusto!
She had gusto all right.  Crossing her arms over her chest she shook her head.  She had heard legends, and stories, but never really encountered a true demon.  The closest would have been the deviant blades, but you could hardly call those demons.
Either way, it was obvious that this girl was not going to get work...however...a thought passed Togame's mind.  She did need money after all. That one eye seemed to turn purple and the cross shaped design appeared in it.  She was scheming, she had an idea.  -
Tumblr media
`` Excuse me, but I really do not this your yelling will get you any work.``
Exterminator for Hire ~ (Open/Intro)
It had only been a few hours at best, probably and despite a couple hours of intense sulking, Sanae’s priorities had already been set straight.
She wouldn’t be kept down in a place like this! If anything, this was an incredible time to gather more faith!
Finding an elevated location near enough people, Sanae stood upwards, and began talking aloud to the crowds which walked past her— voice loud, and full of energy.
"Hello, hello! Gosh, there’s so many of you here! I may be new here, but please, let me introduce myself!"
Tumblr media
"My name is Sanae Kochiya!" She exclaimed to the crowd, with only a few paying attention to her. “Are you having demon or youkai troubles? If so, please, allow me to take care of them for you! As a youkai exterminator, I’ll get the job done with gusto!
Moving her hands around to deliver something of a pose, Sanae continues on, brimming with confidence.
Tumblr media
"The most I ask of are donations to help with funding for the sake of future Hive City Branch of the Moriya Shrine! Thank you for your time, and I look forward to working with you all!"
Eagerly, she awaited responses— not let down by those whom simply kept on walking.

- The U.S. was something Togame had never heard of...but she tried to collect what information she could over the conversations she had with the residents of this Storybrooke in the U.S. Hopefully she could pain a better picture of what this place was like.
She had not paid too much mind to the yellow contraption that Miss Swan arrived in.  It was easy enough to tell it was not alive, it simply acted as a means of getting from one place to another without having to walk.  Togame could definitely get behind that.  As she conversed with Miss Swan, she was only slightly aware of the absence of Shichika by her side.
It was only when there was an ear shattering CRASH that Togame would stare, bewildered, at her companion who was looking back at them. Her eye would twitch slightly, her mouth somewhat agape as she stared at Shichika.
Tumblr media
- Looking back to Miss Swan, she was torn on where to start.  Shichika was her responsibility.  Like an overgrown puppy or otherwise destructive pet. And now it looked like she couldnt control him! What a way to make an impression. What would these people think?  Togame was an unfit handler!? That they needed to call animal control?! How could Shichika think to embarrass her like this?!-
``WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!?``
- Came the obnoxious cries of the petite girl as she pointed her finger accusingly at Shichika. Now that the deed was done, she would have to prove she could control her sword. She would have to reprimand him, and make a show of it. -
``You can't go around ruining people's stuff! Jeeze, I thought you knew better!``
-Have I failed as a teacher? Or maybe he is just really too much of an idiot to remember all the information....A sigh escaped her lips.  She knew no amount of her yelling, or even her smacking him would really get anywhere. Instead she could only clear her throat and look back to Miss Swan apologetically. -
``Pardon us ...``
Can't into Maps(@yosha-hime)
Her eyes shifted from one figure to the other. These two really were peculiar, but it all made sense to her when she heard the mention of Japan. These two had come all the way from Japan, and yet didn’t know where they were? How was that even possible? It wasn’t like they could take a wrong turn at an island, and end up on the other side of America. Something wasn’t settling with the sheriff, but at the same time as she watched them speak she could easily tell they weren’t lying. It was all because of that little super power of hers. Growing up around liars had it’s benefits. One learned the little body ticks that would happen when the body was trying to find equilibrium after lying.
Her eyes observed them both once more from head to toe to make sure she hadn’t missed anything, and of course, she hadn’t. Well that just meant that something else was coming to play here. Could it be magic? She really didn’t know, but to be safe she would keep a close eye on them until she found out more while they were staying at Granny’s inn.
Tumblr media
“No, this isn’t Japan. Can’t say how you got here, but you’re in the US now. Are you sure you have no recollection of how you got here?”
Her brow quirked slightly in question as she wondered just how they had gotten here. But she was sure the answer would come in due time; it always did. Walking over to her yellow bug, she gestured to the two and offered a nod. “Yeah, I can take you to Granny’s. She’ll get you all set up with all the essentials, so don’t worry about it.” She offered a small, comforting smile to the others.
