The test of the viability of a system of moral law is the level of harmony it achieves with the laws of history, which are knowable and known.

Each temple has its own etiquette, which it will tell you if you listen. Not everything is about “your practice”. If you try to carelessly transplant something that would be expected of you into another time and place, whether that place has ever actually existed or not, you’re damaging important relationships.

How embarrassing that this is a recurring theme for you where you are just so unlikeable and unpleasant that you get kicked out of every online community you insert yourself in to
It's kind of what you would expect from anyone who's more serious about religion than fitting in in a discord server. If you can say the phrase "discord server" without giggling in condescension you've lived a very different life than many.
I like having friends and getting along with people, but it's not ultimately why I'm here.
Anon's going off in hopes that you people get jobs.

Even by your account of things, this person has repented, so I should have no more issue with her.
I’ve redacted parts of this due to my own quite-serious religious prohibitions on backbiting. Kharis, if you want to see what’s being said about you by this lovely group of people, feel free to ask me, but it’s nobody else’s business.

Seeking-Kharis was the one you called a degenerate when you were shown that she was talking about goddesses being gang raped. Funny how you're now going for an 'enemy of my enemy' approach when 2 minutes ago you were condemning people like her for their views on sex and BDSM and desecrating the divine. Absolutely spineless.
See, what I said was, as that situation was explained to me, Erin was in the right. I was always careful to mention, though, that all of my information on that came from Erin. No other side of the story mattered back then, because I was on good terms with Erin and the rest of the freaks in my inbox right now, and there wasn't really any reason to rock the boat on it. My position on sexualising religion, as well as disrespectful conduct towards it in general, is unchanged, and I'd never hesitate to tell that to her or anyone else.
Which doesn’t mean “go around starting pointless fights about it” either, as you seem to be encouraging me to do.

I'm sorry you're dealing with all this. The mod squad of the TotH are all...well, I was with them in the original server, and the only thing keeping them from being openly transphobic was fear of beinf...I believe the word they used was "bullied."
It doesn't surprise me that they've come out with this crap now that they kicked everyone who disagreed with them.
There are still trans people in the server, and it bothers me that they need to put up with this kind of barely-concealed vitriol in order to have a space for religious discussion and expression. I hope you and me and the other people who’ve supported me can put our energies together soon and come up with a better solution for them as well.

Woke up this morning to three asks that are literally too nasty to publish, but do allude to personal information that I have talked about in the server and not here, while also insisting I’m a trans in some pretty virulent wording as you can imagine. So that’s how the Temple of the Heart is doing these days.
Why are people calling you a man?
Like, I'm really hoping they're going to come back into my inbox and tell me before I guess, because to do so doesn't leave me many options vis a vis the principle of charity.

While I did make some solid points in my response to that ask a few days ago, it would have been both faster and more to-the-point to say that while “the right” generally does have a “vanguard” at a higher ideological level, with heavy experience recruiting and spreading its ideology in the neopagan milieu, the average person in that milieu who is “against nazis” is significantly disarmed ideologically because they don’t have any special insight into either “far-right ideology” or the real, economic problems of the world that the average leftist doesn’t. Their hearts are in the right place thinking nazism is bad, which is true enough as far as it goes, but they do not have, and go out of their way to avoid cultivating, real organising experience, which could come either from a church or a specialised political organ like a union or a party or whatever, OR any real historical or ideological knowledge, which would put them at odds with their milieu.
Neopaganism is built foundationally, maybe not inextricably, but foundationally, on eclecticism and eclecticism can’t be anything other than what it is, which is an inert, internally contradictory morass of reaction. If society leans to the left, it will lean to the left, and if society leans to the right, it will lean to the right, and if society jumps up and down with its finger on its nose then that is what it will do. I think a lot of neopagans and adjacent people think that it’s them who are ideologically directing the world, and I think that comes from the fact that they think they’re the only ones practicing the priestly art, when really they are not the most skilled and most do not even practice it correctly or in a way that even theoretically can be ideologically commanding.
There does need to be something with a real foot to put down, something that can put real force behind that gesture, in short there needs to be a functioning heresiology, and that is just a far cry from what the worldview of the average neopagan can accommodate. At most you can get pockets like tumblr where there’s a general consensus that “nazism bad” and maybe “cultural appropriation bad” but neither of those are at all capable of standing up to the real problem.
