Kindness and patience don't have to work against your ambition - they can help it.

I understand high standards and strong ambition - but when we get to the point of burnout, stress, and decreased productivity, we might have begun to work against ourselves.

An example is people kicking themselves at age 20 because they don't have life figured out. And they're so occupied with missed opportunities that they're still kicking themselves at 30 (which still leaves PLENTY of time to accomplish great things, by the way!)

It's such a "soft" topic that some people might ignore because rest and self-kindness are seen as foofy and weak rather than part of a champion's mindset - which they definitely can be.
